thank you Mwhoareno i had the same problems you had so i went in youtube and found you and your vedeo helped me allot ignor those who did not like it ,also i liked that you painted the parts the same color of uor jeep cool
Yes they are supposed to extend in and out. To be clear, it would be hard if not impossible to push it in by hand but once you install the strut it should compress as you close the hood.
The audio is terrible and it is out of focus. Your head or hand gets in the way a lot. Still, I got mine installed watching you. You are right. The instructions really suck.
