Natarajan, You are the true rail fan of India. I guess nobody can come close to you in terms of rail video collection. You have done it all.
What an Amazing Collection ❤️
Absolute superlative..you have captured the magic of our metre guage system perfectly..especially the exchange of tokens...such a beautiful sequence..performed day in night out 24 x 7 throughout the year !!!
And the YDM4 !!! How I remember the YDM4 6287 in red and yellow livery of the Chennai Madurai Vaigai Exp . locos 6286 , 6130 6330 based at Golden Rock Diesel Shed . working the Rock Fort Exp , Pandian Exp and other iconic trains from Villupuram down south.....where have they all gone ?? I miss them so much ..... Life will never be the same without those beautiful facets of our railways...now long gone into History...Thank you my friend for bringing back golden memories.

+Its AP - The RAIL MANIA (Avinash Patil) Thank you :)
Mannn wow just woww, can you mention the place at 2:00 and 2:40, Is that MHOW-OM line and how did you manage going to that top😬 Never imagined that IR has something even more than big blue trains when got to know about the vintage MG NG, omgg it was too late. Having seen none :-((
Yes, Mhow - OM line. Patalpani to Kalakund will be heritage. You can visit anytime :)
Superb work! The videos bring back so many memories. Exchanging the token ( we used to call it 'key' those days ) was thrilling.
Classical stuff
These are meter gauge diesel locos. Now that most meter gauge tracks are being converted into broad gauge railway tracks, like steam locos these will also vanish one day. Eventually they will exist in our memories.
It very very fine.
congratulations to you sir
+Neel Odedra Thank you :)
Superb. Congrats on 10K subs... keep it coming!
+Sriram SN Thank you :)
Superb!
Entregando "el aro de vìa libre "que, en Uruguay, tambièn està vigente. Muchas gracias.
Amazing!!!
I would like to add an interesting bit of news....the YDM4 locos seen in this video , because of the cramped cab , had only one set of driving controls..on the right side with the short hood leading. The LP was seated on the right side of the cab.
When the loco was operated with the long hood leading the driver simply turned 180 degrees!! The result was he was suddenly sitting on the left side of the cab and all the brake ( vacuum only ) handles and Brake pressure guages were BEHIND him!!!
His lookout window was the window set in the door !!
That is why when the fastest metre guage express ..the Vaigai exp from Chennai to Madurai was introduced with a top speed of 100kmph , they made sure the short hood was leading always.
To achieve this after the train had reached Chennai Egmore , the loco was sent 30km to Tambaram where a turntable was located ( none at Egmore yard !! ) , the loco turned so that the short hood was again leading, and then went back to work the return trip to Madurai..
( sigh ) Those were the days !!!
Bangalore Cant. had a turntable. Steam engines, used to come reverse, from SBC...for end change. ISLAND EXP..we used to push, the engine, on the turn table...we felt, heroic..great nostalgia.
lovely captures bro :D Hearty congratulations on reaching 10000 subs :)
+Adithya Vaidyanathan Thank you :)
Is there any mg train running present
I know only metupalyam to ooty route.
Patalpani MG tracks which have normal brown metre coaches
Good one
Nice
+Maaz azmi Shaikh Thank you :)
Truly nostalgic MGs and NGs. They'll always carry the legacy of IR even after their retreat.
Congrats bro... send atleast few to me :-) hehehe
+Amit Patel Thank you and sure :D
osammmmm
Congratulations from Costa Rica! I enjoy your brilliant videos. Regards.
+Ronald Vargas Thank you :)
Why are the locos always so dirty
If short descriptions were provided, as Natarajan usually does, would be a record for the future.
+Natrajan C you are genuis man...outstanding work bro
one thing i would like to know which place it is as i am feeling to travel there
Patalpani-Kalakund Heritage Railway presently and earlier the Ratlam-Akola line.
LOCOMOTIVE MAKES VERY QUICK SOUND SO MUCH SO THAT IT IS RUNNING LIKE BUS ENGINE. OUR WDM 2 LOCOS MAKE SOUND LIKE GIGANTIC TRACTOR AT THE START OF THE ACCELERATION.VIDEO IS AMAZING AS WELL AS TRAIN SOUND . ALSO TIRUVARUR PATTUKOTTAI LINE IS CLOSED FOR GAUGE CONVERSION SINCE LONG. THANKS REGARDS
Congo but this vedio :(
+Minaz Pathan Thank you
made in EMD? because in indonesian we called bb204 series made by EMD 😊😊😊. good shot bro 😊😊😊
YDM4's are ALCO models.
+Natarajan C thanks about information 😊😊😊
What is that guard was holding in his hand at 5:49
+Indra Teja that was a token, to run in that specific section. When train leaves the section, engine driver will drop that and get another one for next section, allowing only train to be on rail at a time in a section. you can notice guard picks another one from ground. Thanks for the information.. I was nice video
