Wow! Awesome video! I miss these sounds after the advent of welded tracks. Also reminds me of the classic red coaches and the light brightness changing according to the speed! I have a bad memory but I think I travelled between Madurai and Coimbatore during my childhood on metre gauge trains.

Amazing video Natrajan, nice to see you cover rural Uttar Pradesh. I have personally traveled on this section between Gola Gokarnath & Sitapur on the roof of the train. Yes that's right on the roof. Actually it was a really crowded evening train and my friend was wrongly accused by a village women of harassment. Funny thing is that her husband refused to believe, however we decided not to sit inside and opted for the roof option. Memorable journey :-) , this was in 2001.

Hi Mr Natarajan C - always a pleasure watching MG videos. Makes me very nostalgic !! My Dad retired as an MG train driver in Hubli Division and I myself worked as a Station Master in Madurai Division for 13 years upto 1991.
You have some great videos and it amazes me how you find the time to do so. Please keep up the good work, most enjoyable!!

i m also a daily passenger of this route from Sidhauli to Lucknow. in this section trains are always full of crowed and. trains always delays.

Hi, C. Natarajan, way back in mid - sixties I've travelled to Jodhpur from Old Delhi & back just twice on board a metre _ _gauge train , if I can
recall correctly,
it was Jodhpur Exp. your vedio rekindled almost forgotten memories of the Good Old days. I'm now on the wrong side of sixty and from West Bengal. Thanks straight from my heart for such good work. one query, does the Ijjatnagar - Aishbagh train ( metre - gauge ) still runs ? Don't mind, one suggestion, if u can upload a vedio showing the whole interior of first class of this train. All the best. trainthis
