- The Baltimore Orioles are not playing good baseball, but they still have great playoff chances, with seeding and the AL East title still at play. Host Connor Newcomb looks at the remainder of the MLB schedule and breaks down which other teams the Orioles should be rooting against in order to help their chances.
But first, Connor recaps the Orioles 10-0 loss to the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday night and discusses performances from Blake Snell, Albert Suarez, and Craig Kimbrel.

Even if we make the playoffs what have they shown us to make us think they can even win a game? They are going to get SMOKED first round if we even make it.. I wish I knew what we need to fix this mess but I have no idea.. that mixed with the ravens 0-2 start is taking years off my life..

I think your details of what has to happen for the O's to make the playoff is exactly what we need to know. Great job. Beating out Seattle may be the best chance. Skubel pitching when the Tigers are in town, is one loss. The best they can probably do is beating the Tigers once and that may be optimistic. I suppose Westberg, Urias and Montcastle might be back but Westberg is the only potential major help and it's doubtful he will be what he was. Two good starting pitchers is likely not enough in the playoffs--if they make it.
Starting to remind me of the end of 2018. Remind me even though they aren’t at 4 and 32. The O’s swung at change ups out of the strike zone and took sinkers on the black. Snell was amazing and the O’s helpless. And please, no more Coby this year. Option him and bring a bag of balls back from Norfolk.
Idk. I think Craig is wasting a roster spot already. Cole Irvin provided better value because he could pitch multiple mop up innings and he had years of control left. It’s time to leave Craig in the dust.

So it’s time to DFA Kimbrel, send Mayo down, keep Birch Smith up, put Adley at 5th or 6th in the batting order, get rid of the hydration station, and put a bounty on base hits and walks so players value what builds runs. And we need a penalty cost for errors. We also need to see if we can bring Westberg back now. He needs a few games under his belt before the post season. Recent pitching has been very good, except for the occasional Suarez start and Kimbrel, so those bonus/penalty amounts need to be leveraged against/for the coaching staff as well. Oh, and another penalty for swinging at pitches outside of the strike zone by 4” or more… come on, we have the technology and we’re already collecting the stats. Time to get seriously focused.
Only rooting for da O'S! Don't care about anybody else with us being 2-8 in the last 10 and looking like we may lose out the season. Our only focus should be on the games at hand and getting some W'S and momentum into the wild card

Not even wasting my time watching this ridiculous video after reading the title. The only team the Orioles should be rooting for is the Orioles. At this point it will take a bloody miracle for the Orioles to even make the postseason. Thank God we played the White Sox two weeks ago because if we played them today we would get swept and the games wouldn't even be close. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if Adley isn't pulling a Derek Bender and telling the opposing team's batters what pitch is coming because "he wants to go home". I flew down from western Canada for this last homestand plus the series in New York, I'm just hoping I see two wins because I said before yesterday's embarrassment that the O's would go 2-10 in the final 12 games and right now I'm feeling like I was overly optimistic. Seriously Connor, when are you going to face reality and question if the Orioles will even make the playoffs? Is it before the final game when we face a "win and you're in, lose and you're out" situation or will it be a month after we lose that "win and you're in, lose and you're out" final game?

I don't see Cade Povich carrying us into the playoffs, but if he does, maybe there is a Santa that you believe in. The Rogers trade felt more like a Dumpster Dan move, than a Mike Elias with new owners wanting to win move to me when it happened.

Heck I would be happy if Santa and the Easter Bunny granted a reunion with Kyle Gibson and all the innings he ate up last year to help this rotation. Never counted on all the injuries we have had this year after getting lucky the past two with being mostly healthy and have never complained about Elias's moves and trades, just didn't like this one for Rogers at all and now he is only in Norfolk makes it worse for me.
