I don't speedrun at all but I was thinking of doing this one because it's the easiest and has a lot of speedrun tech. Previous games are fun but I wouldn't be able to stick to a route.

The feeling I get from these guys is casual fans of DMC. No problem there but it makes for a passionless speedrun. Balrog was obtained in Hell through a portal on Dumary Island (DMC2). Balrog was Argosax's right hand man and holder of a Yamato shard. During the fight, Dante loses the original Cerberus. Still beats Balrog who willingly becomes a devil arm.
@@uckbritley1305 they are casual, because their commentary pretty much suck, at least they shouldnt talk a lot about things they dont know. focus on gameplay not lore for example
Sad to hear the runner beating himself down so much. "This wasn't a good" "I messed this up" and stuff like that. Most people have no idea what is good or bad. It just leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I think.
You mentioned very early in the vid (mission 2 I think) that you have to hold the controller kind of like a claw when charging Blue Rose. Why not just map the button to say R2/RT?
@Ron Isley The timer starts when he presses New Game, it has not started during the menu, so either it is not that big a deal for him, or it is probably your second point. Thanks for the info.

I adore this game and even got my girlfriend to play it and really enjoy it. Until she got to the V missions. In my opinion V's missions absolutely fucking suck and completely kill my motivation to play the game. Usually I complete the game until at least heaven and hell mode or equivalent, but I hate that V is so antithetical to the game. I literally just mash the buttons and occasionally dodge with that emo jerkoff. I sorely wish that the special edition has an option to just play as Vergil during V missions because I would love this game so much more if I didn't get stuck playing as V ever again.
