1st watch - Everything seems light hear-ted and somewhat happy 2nd rewatch - Lore behind the wars and the destruction is unnerving 3rd rewatch - You realize the characters are in a very bad situation 4th rewatch - There is no hope.....
Girls' Last Tour is definitely a favorite of mine and I'm glad to see you covering it. If you do complete the anime I highly recommend reading the manga, there isn't quite enough material left to make another season so it will sadly likely never happen, but its ending is beautiful.
...god dammit... if you put it that way it looks like it really won't happen :'( I was really looking forward to seeing the elevator scene & the final arc with their music & everything... Well time to hope for a movie or something along the line.
Aw man, it's unfair to my feels for you to use Hollow Knight's City Of Tear's soundtrack. Girl's Last Tour definitely is one of the best anime I've watched in recent years. The calmness is undefeated. Glad to see it throughoutly explored now.
Really glad to see someone cover this Anime. This Show is one of the most calming and relaxing shows I know, yet it also manages to be very thoughtprovoking. This Anime is in my opinion a very unique case, where it is hard to consider it sad or happy, uplifting or depressing, since it kind of incorporates a lot of emotions, just to come out with a positiove feeling in the end.
I finished reading the manga today and it's without a doubt the best thing I've ever read. 11/10 Painful and life-affirming in ways I can't put into words.
Thank you for watching this series. It deserve more recognition. The manga has ended but the later part hasn't been adapted. Check it out for the conclusion~ . . . . . *spoiler* . . . . The ending devastated me somehow. Its not depressing, all things must end, and that's how it ended. Their journey ended. It just I dunno, cathartic? But every time I remembered the manga ending, I'll drown in tears.....
Had a small chuckle when you compared Goblin Slayer to Girls' Last Tour, since both are made by studio White Fox and are both directed by Ozaki Takaharu. Though outside the scope of this 5 hour analysis, it could've been nice to compare more similarities in his approach to direction.
I had no idea that you hadn't watched this show! You're certainly in for a ride, and I believe this is the kind of show you grow to love more with each new chapter. Also, great use of Terror in Resonance's OST. This video really highlighted why the atmosphere on this show is so unique. Man... You should definitely talk about Terror in Resonance, now that I mention it...
I wonder if @Replay Value managed to watch the entire series + the last chapters in the manga. It definitely leaves a weight behind once you're through with it.
Like what you said this anime finds peace and serenity in the end of humanity and I found a reason why that most people dont touch upon. ***SPOILER WARNING*** Later in the series we find out that our Little Potatoes are the last humans on earth, when I heard that it brought a tranquil feeling over me for these girls. It goes without saying, after these girls expire there is nothing going to continue after them. I put myself in their shoes as the last of humanity and it didnt bother me. Of course I fear death like everyone else but why? Keeping it short, I largely fear about the leaving the people who care about me behind and what I will miss out on in the future of humanity's endeavors, however, these girls wont have to experience that. There is pretty much no one who will miss them while they are gone and certainly nothing to humanity's merit that will happen after them. One way of looking at this is there is no worry in their lives, or peace. On behalf entirety of humanity, its nice to know these Potatoes, after all the failings humanity had, will end on a positive note.
If you're talking about when the nukos tell the girls they're the only two humans they've met, it doesn't mean they're the only two humans left in the world. We even saw two other humans that have no reason be dead by the end of the show, it's just that the nukos haven't seen anyone else.
I've always considered Girls' Last Tour the inverse of Made in Abyss. The former hides beauty in ruin while the latter hides horror in beauty.
This is the best accurated description when comparing these two shows.
Funny that I watched them practically back to back then
Man I love both of them.
These blobs are some of my favorite characters of all time
1st watch - Everything seems light hear-ted and somewhat happy
2nd rewatch - Lore behind the wars and the destruction is unnerving
3rd rewatch - You realize the characters are in a very bad situation
4th rewatch - There is no hope.....

i love girls' last tour and i love this analysis. great job.
Ah, City of tears... for some reason that song fits this series very well.
great video, really glad it popped up in my recommended list--looking forward to diving into the rest of your content!
Girls' Last Tour provides many insights on life and why we live...
The show is just amazing... and the manga too (T_T)
I thought that I overanalyzed things. But this guy, he has it down to an art form!
Since you started the show, I will just say that I can't wait for you to do a video about the music ending one particular episode.

You don't know how long I've been wanting to know the name of this anime
Happy to have contributed to that nagging question.

i would like to suggest a place further than the universe as well. you are going to love it
One of if not my favorite anime of 2017...
I should give up hope on Season 2 and read the manga though...
Talking about droplets and city of tears starts playing. I see what you did there.
Skipped this show when it was release, wish I didn't

I read this anime’s manga😊

Maybe you should do a video about a certain soundtrack
which one are you implying? Song of the rain? Song of the end?
@@huytungnguyen119 the zankyou no terror soundtrack
