I didn't know that the scraper was designed to clear the mat. I thought it was for transfer tape.Thank you for these tips.

I made the mistake of asking for a Cricut hooked pick tool as a gift. The handle is a nice fit but the point is so dull it will only grab the vinyl at the cut like which can easily damage the image. I should have returned it because it's useless. An Xacto knife is far more precise tool.
