I’ve just done something similar in my house, I realise what hard work it is and what it’s like to live in a mess for several months. Hats off to the guys that do it everyday for a living. 😊
Rich ,thankyou for letting us in to such a personal part of your life ,great to see the normal stuff in your life and your skill set ,as a skilled man it's great to see. All the best to you and your lovely family.
Excellent work. I love the bathroom. Its a long process. We live in an old stone house. Always surprising what I find under the plaster. The ground floors are fun.... plumbing running through door openings, presumably due to 3 feet thick stone walls.
Thoroughly enjoyed that, you’ve done a fantastic job. I can see why you had get the levels perfect for those large format tiles. Well worth the effort.
when I was on the tools as an electrician, I used to install electrical under floor heating, which would be laid down and stuck using a glue gun and scrapper (a couple of dogs of glue every 300mm or so and then I would encapsulate it all in a self levelling compound. The tiler that would then follow in behind had a perfect surface to tile to with no danger of damage to the heating element.
I’ve never bought any home. Well I’ve had four relationships. Can you imagine… I’d be skint and homeless 😂 Just work hard and spend every penny. Still need to Come and meet up with you. I still couldn’t make the WW24. In the middle of trying to change bike again. And hiring vans for the crf. Just can not make enough dosh… Anyway… if I did buy a house. It would be one like yours. In the middle of nowhere. Out in the sticks.. Great stuff. If you filmed it. Would be a great watch… 👍
When a jobs worth doing ..ehy, nice job fella. These things always take longer than you think and cost twice as much but when they’re done it’s well worth it. 👍💪
Great job Richy, been there with buying old houses and yer it's such hard work and the novilty goes off Damn quick but the finished product with all that care and attention to detail you seem to have in boat loads like my self is well worth all that pain and mess also the Bank Balance to some extent. What's next for the makeover ?
Nice!!! How old is the house? I love to learn what' "old" means in the UK vs. here in Michigan. Almost every building in the US is "new" compared to your side of the pond! Our house was build in 1968, it's considered 'aged' and we've redone most of it. Our cottage is from 1912 and it's considered very old....
I love the toilet roll holder it just finishes it off🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’ve got a new build house and I think the spirit level they used didn’t have a bubble.
Looks cracking
I know that feeling, mate.
That was amazing Richy. And here's me thinking all you do is play on your bike. I'm very impressed what a talented guy. Well done.
Thank you very much!
This is better than biking, credit to you its a very class job!

Exactly! Would love to know the stories being told at the time of build!
