It is absolutely amazing how much you have accomplished this past year. So much hard work and living in the midst of a major renovation while doing it. Thank you for allowing us to follow along as you fulfill your dreams. May God bless you, and may the sun shine warm upon you back, and May the road rise up to great you, and may your soul land in heaven and hour before the devil knows your dead.
Thank you Ed and it’s our pleasure to have you following along pretty much from the outset! It’s definitely made it a little more challenging living within it. I googled the last part of the saying that you wrote up there about the devil because Ben was quite taken with it and we hadn’t heard it before. Thank you 🤩
Wow! Stumbled upon your video. Love the transformation! Beautiful property. Your dreams and vision are turning this dilapidated ruin into a beautiful home. Cannot wait to see more of your vision.
Well guys, tap each other on the shoulder, pinch yourself in the arms. This is reality! What you achieved in 1 year is truly amazing. And remember, in 15 years time you sit with a glass of wine by the logburner and say:"remember how we. ." And all will be finished, beautiful and well maintained. The energy change of the house, land and outbuildings has changed enormously. The house sighed under mal maintenance and is rescued, strong again. May your smile be from ear to ear. Thank you so much for sharing your lives with us.
Hi Wanda, thank you for such a lovely comment. It is always nice to read a comment where we feel we have been completely understood with our dream, vision and way of work. We already look around and sometimes can't believe what we have actually done, especially the stuff inside the house and the bottom of the land. It was once a hugely loved house but sadly life here stopped and mother nature started to visit. It is a lovely feeling when we look back at the first walkaround and now walk around. Thank you again :-)
Well, I must say, this video was well worth the wait! You two have done so much, you should be very proud of what you have accomplished so far. Hats off to you two for undertakng such a monumental task! Absolutely brilliant!
Thank you so much Ed. Thankfully things don't seem to go quite as wrong as they used to at the beginning, but there is plenty of time for that to change again haha. Yes, we are so proud of ourselves, especially after sitting and watching it start to finish. Just a reminder of what we have achieved. Thank you for always watching and of course being a channel member :-)
Dawn and Ben, what an amazing acceivement to get this far in such a short amount of time. I watch Daniel from mossie bottom / Bruce, Annie and the girl's for off grid bruce. Rebecca, Sam and their children and of course Maggie Molloy. Thank you both for choosing Ireland /Eire for the home of your choosing and someday soon, I hope you can enjoy the fruits of your labour. You are both doing amazing work. Hats off to you both. 👏👏👏🥳🎊🎉🥳 👍😉🇨🇮☘️Eire
Watching the past year again was quite emotional, it really reminded me just how much you've achieved in such little time without professional help.I'm constantly amazed by your sheer strength and determination and your love of that handsome house really shines through. It's going to be such a comfortable house to live in and I'm so happy to be seeing in gradually take shape. It was a wonderful compilation and beautifully put together.❤
Ooh we know Pat, we’ve done a lot of emotional 🥹 welling up and some full on tears doing this video! It took a long time but wow it was so lovely to watch it all back again like we have the last couple of weeks. I absolutely adore how you call the house handsome! I read it and thought..”wow, yes it is a handsome looking house” aww yes we really do love it, it is a pleasure to live here even with all the falling flakes of plaster and limewash. Once we’re “done” I do think it will look and feel really comfortable and a cosy place to be. ❤️
I'm beyond impressed!! What a wonderful work of love and dedication. When watching this, I found myself huffing and puffing as you hammered, shoveled, raked.... This 77 year old was very impressed! Keep up the good work. I couldn't be more proud if you were my own children. Keep up the good work; it is well worth the effort.
Hello Sharon, what a lovely comment to read, thank you so much. Lots of love, lots of huffing and puffing but worth all of it. Still so far to go but we are enjoying every step. Thank you so much for watching and commenting :-)
Some wonderful generous souls in your life.....pull out couch, kitchen, large carpet.....the sweetness of these gestures is something that for me would be such an enriching part of the journey and as we all know, the journey is all....
The people around us Eirene are incredible and we have been made to feel so so welcome and we are very very lucky. They have all made our arrival and living here so much better than we could have ever imagined. Thank you for watching and commenting :-)
WOW WOW WOW. 😮 You two are superhuman ❤ Can't believe what you have both achieved in just a year. Such wonderful, hard working and determined people, you are both amazing. It's been inspiring to watch this video. Thank you so much for sharing with the world your journey to your dream life. 🎉
@@alisonjanecarroll1042 Aww Thank you Alison, what a lovely, kind comment. 🥰 It’s our pleasure to share what we’ve done so far, it’s been a great year and hope the next 12 months is as productive! 😊
oh well done, both of you... we did it in France, hardley any money, didnt speak the language.... we did it, through sheer determination... we both got jobs, learnt the lingo ,had lovely neighbours, only came back to the u.k because we had grandchildren we where missing out on seeing grow up. but i do miss our life we had there, chickens, geese, ducks and goats..... a beautiful gingerbread house and one and a half acres of woodland and garden... keep going is all i can say,,, keep your pecker up when it feels hopeless, cuddle each other often and laugh about the misdeeds and catastrophies...you will get there xxxx
Hello Sharan. If we could heart this twice, or even three times we would. We are really sad for you that you had to leave France after doing everything you did. We have no language barrier and no real changes by moving to Ireland apart from our life style, so to have to leave this now would be heart breaking. Money.... we will manage and for everything we now have, managing is just fine. Chickens, geese, ducks, goats, maybe a sheep or two are on our list, don't know when but one day. It isn't often we get down but as you will know, sometimes it gets a bit hard, but you are right, we will get there. Thank you so so much for such lovely comments :-) :-) 💕
When you look back (even just as a viewer) and see what you have both accomplished and also how your confidence has grown with a learning curve for new skills has been wonderful to watch. I just know that in the next 12 month you both will flourish, Ben will continue to grow to become an even more confident carpenter and start to trust in his own ability to turn out the work he sees in his mind, and Dawn who is already well on the road to becoming a skilled stone worker in her own right will also continue to grow in talent and confidence and will accomplish even more than she could ever have dream possible. We all know it wont be an easy journey for you folks, but I think we can all agree that it's a journey worth fighting through to see the end result of your dreams coming into reality and you can finaly say to yourselves, family, friends and visitors with pride.... "We did this!"
Oh my goodness you made the pair of us cry when we read your comment! It’s been an emotional week doing this video and then to read your comment just tipped us over the edge! So thank you for such a bloody lovely comment, especially your last couple of lines. 🥹😭 You’re completely right with how much our confidence has grown, it took us so long to get to starting to take the first lot of joists out and then once we’d done that…no stopping us on the rest! 😂 Thank you so very much for your comment it truly has meant so much to read! 😘
I have just subscribed, having watched your channel for the first time. I am so proud of you both and I don't even know you. Well done. You are brave determined folk and deserve lots of reward for your hard work. All the best:-)
This popped up in my suggestions. Just watched it with my 5yr old, who was as intrigued as i was about how you where both going to go through the process of the restoration. Its nicely taking shape 😎👌🏻 Subbed and looking forward to update videos. Cheers John (up in County Antrim) 👍🏻
Hi John and you 5yr old. You were not alone with wondering how we would go through the process lol. We knew the joists must be done and floors and getting out of the tent into the house before winter. Then we took it from there. Thank you very much for subscribing John, we will keep going and see how it goes :-)
Wow! Watching that year back all in one go really makes you appreciate just how far you've come in that relatively short space of time! You should feel so incredibly proud of yourselves. Those of us who follow you and enjoy watching your progress, certainly feel proud of you and everything you've achieved so far. Here's to many more years and many more milestones 😊
We do sometimes as well Karla! 😂 Doing this video and seeing all the old videos we were “ooh it was quite bad!” I think you have rose tinted specs on in the beginning and the excitement far outweighs what it looked like. 😘
What a fantastic job done. Dawn and Ben it is hard to believe that you both have achieved so much in 12 months. Wow what a comfortable home you have made .I am sure Ben your Mum was very pleased with what a cosy home you both have made. Take care and God Bless you both xx
Thank you Colette, this last year has gone by in such a flash it’s quite hard to believe! Oh Bens mum absolutely loved it here. She was in awe of just how beautiful it all is here and she loves the house despite it not looking very pretty right now 😉 You take care too and thanks again xx
You forget how much you have achieved as others have replied, the biggest gift is owning your own home, and working towards bringing it up to the way you want it, along with the land, your right money is great to have, however in watching what you have achieved between the two of you with your hands, I'm sure you will achieve heaps. Well done, brilliant.
Oh my goodness yes, the biggest gift is owning our home! We quite often say to each other…”we own all of this!” Mind blowing 🤯 Lack of money just means you have to get a little more creative 😂 is all.
Haha I must admit when we look back at the old video..we think “ooh that was quite bad” but I think I said to someone else…the excitement and the rose tinted glasses mask the worse bits and you just see the potential. (Luckily 😂)
I have been watching since the beginning and I look for your videos and wait (im)patiently for every update. What you have achieved is amazing and inspirational. Seeing the state of the house when you returned after the sale went through and seeing all you've achieved in a year has made me re-assess what I might be able to achieve too (although Dawn you are amazing and I dont know where you get the energy to do all that you do). I havent commented before, but I have watched every video, right from the start. Keep doing exactly what you want to do, and record it for us wannabees please. The 30-something day 14 day challenge, for example, was looooong, but your determination, tenacity and staying power was powerful to watch. Thank you for sharing your journey with all of us. Michelle, Perth Western Australia
Thank you for your lovely comment Michelle, it’s been a really good year and a good start to all that we have ahead of us but we’re very pleased with how it has gone so far. Making the video has given us a bit of oomph back after the last few weeks having been a bit of a slow few work weeks! The house was in a bit of a sad state when we started out that’s for sure. To be honest, I’m not sure where the energy comes from some days and there are days when it doesn’t come 😂 It’s so nice to read that we might in some way help others to realise they can do this too. UA-cam is the greatest tool in this day and age for giving you the confidence that you could possibly do all sorts of things. It’s amazing really when you think about it. A little bit of knowledge goes a long long way. Talking of loooong, yes the the land clearing wow that felt like it would never end! 🤣 Thank you for commenting and most of all thank you for watching all the way along 🥰 and supporting us from afar it means a lot to us 😘
So much work, I know there had to be times when you both were asking Where on earth do we even start? You two could only get this done by supporting and leaning on each other. This is a a beautiful story and home in the making.. I love that you are saving a historic home and I wish I was in a position to help, hopefully soon I will be. You two deserve help as you work so hard and are doing a great job.
Haha oh yes we have definitely said and thought that on many occasions! We do tend to help each other along when the other is feeling a bit disillusioned with it all, it’s quite the rollercoaster at times. Aww Nancy, just you subscribing, viewing and commenting is enough help for us. So we thank you along with everyone else who gives us a little boost each time we read our comments. ❤️
You two are a dynamo what you have accomplished in one year is amazing. This video brings back all you have done a good refresher for us and a good way for new comers to catch up. Hopefully they will then watch all your videos.
HI Kathleen, thank you for always joining us. We are chuffed to bits and this video was, as you say, as refresher, even for us. It even bought a tear or two. I think there have been a few newer subscribers who didn't realise we had done more than the land and there was a bit more to us than a shovel and wheelbarrow haha. Thank you for being with us for so long :-)
Thank you Jane. We’re amazed at how quickly this year has gone by. It was a really lovely video to put together and to see it all over again like this is amazing.
I have been watching for a fair while but did not realize just how much you have accomplished in one year. What a great achievement!!! You will have the most beautiful place in a few years.
Thank you Mary 🥰 I think it was a bit of an eye opener to us and we did it! 🤣🤣 I am so looking forward to the day when we have some rooms finished and looking cosy and inviting! ❤️
Ben and Dawn you made your house a lovely warm home and that was sheer hard work. I love the banter between the 2 of you and the special effects and of course the music. Be mighty proud of yourselves where’s there’s a will there’s a way. 🙏
Thank you Annie 😊 ah yes we’re very proud of what we’ve done so far and quite amazed at times, especially replacing the floors upstairs! We would never have foreseen that in our lifetime! 🤣 It was a really lovely video to make, made us quite emotional along the way 🥹 and laugh too! There’s always a way, just gotta find it 😂
I’ve watched every video, some more than once. Watching the 1 year review I’m still amazed at how much you’ve accomplished in 12 months. Truly astonishing when you consider that you aren’t professional contractors, builders or landscapers. You’re both delightful & I’m so happy you decided to share your journey with us. Dawn you are an inspiration. Your drive, determination & perseverance is remarkable. I can’t imagine where you’ll be in another 12 months time but I know I’ll be amazed when I watch year 2’s 12 month review. Congratulations & I wish you all the best. ✌️💚🙏
Aww thank you Dish that was lovely to read 🥰 It has been a good reminder for us doing the video and has also given us a bit of a boost to keep pushing on because there are definitely times when you lose a little oomph to keep going! 😂 It took a lot of time to get the video sorted and wow it was quite emotional going through all the videos again and seeing it laid out in one go like that! Ben did an amazing job on it. Thank you so much for following us along and especially for watching everything we have put out there, it means a lot 🥹❤️🍀
@The Corner House Project I came across your clip in my UA-cam feed so pleased I watched. what great a great neighbour you have to help you here and there, and what a fantastic job you have both done to the house and grounds.. well done guys 😊👍
Thank you very much. Yes we are very lucky with the neighbour, in all honesty everyone that we have come across over here has been so friendly and helpful. Welcome to the channel and thank you for watching 😊
Absolutely phenomenal!! What a superb way of showcasing your progress. I’m constantly in awe of you both, and your never ending energy. Thank you so much for sharing so much of your lives during this awesome project.
Thank you so much for such a lovely comment K. Some days we don't feel like we are full of energy but we find it from somewhere and keep on going. You are so welcome and thank you for watching and commenting :-)
Thank you so much ML. It has certainly been a busy 12 months. The first 6 months didn't seem to stop, just day after day of stuff. Now with the land pretty much sorted and the house comfortable, we can work away at this and that working towards more permanent fixtures and fittings instead of everything being temporary. Thank you for watching and commenting and of course being a channel member :-)
Absolutely loved this video!! You guys should be so proud of yourselves! What a monumental change you have brought to your once unloved old home. Blood, sweat and lots of love are clearly breathing new life into her and I can’t wait to see all the wonderful things you achieve over the journey ❤
Thanks Rachael. We are chuffed to bits if we are honest and really proud. The change from day one up to now is incredible and still a lot to be done in the way of improvements. We will get there. Thank you for watching and commenting :-)
I am astounded at the amount of work you both have taken on, you're a credit to one another, you really are. Go n-éirí an ghrían oraibh araon agus an bháisteach ag titim go bog ar bhur gceann, agus go dtuga Dia luach saothair do bheirt leis an bparthas atá tuillte agaibh. (May the sun shine upon you both and the rain fall softly upon your heads and may God reward you both with the paradise you deserve).
Wow a year already. You should gives yourselves a massive pat on the back at what you have achieved in this last year. You have plodded through in all weathers and do not let anything phase you. I admire your grit and determination. Well done both of you
Hi Angela A year, it has flown by. Some we had sort of forgotten until watching this video in full. Some bits, like clearing the house and pulling down the woodworm eaten timbers make us feel ewwwww.... But seeing Dawn's face when she realised the joists were finished is priceless. You must have been watching a while to have seen us in the rain as I didn't show any really in the time lapse. All the rain does is make the mud muddier so we don't mind carrying on through the rain when we can. It stops at some point. Thank you so much for watching and commenting today Angela :-)
I only started watching about 4 months or so ago and I just want to say you are both so brave taking on such a massive mess. I also think you lucked out on your neighbours, they must also be happy to see new blood in the area. Keep on keeping on.
Oh yes we definitely did with the neighbours! We’ve been quite overwhelmed with how kind and friendly all that we have met have been. The farmer neighbour especially with all his help. Haha yes it was a bit of a mess when we first arrived, we’ve made new mess here and there but at least it’s now a little more contained.
You are amazing, money doesn't buy you happiness, yes it gives you freedom, but what you have achieved is a house made with love, all the best, may your road be happy n smooth. X
You both are doing an amazing job. You deserve everything you wish for. Can not wait for your future challenges. Your home will be beautiful. Making it more special as you are putting your heart and soul into it. God bless.
Thank you so much Cindy. The future is something we are looking forward to and everything in between now and then. We did think "what have we done" when we first came through the door again in May last year, but once we started clearing, that thought soon went away and excitement set in. Thank you so much for watching and commenting :-)
You guys are amazing! For people that have never done anything like this before you must be so proud of what you have achieved in so little time, learning new trades and just getting on with it, well done. Also from wobbly shots in the beginning you are now professional youtubers ( famous ones at that!) producing great quality videos, that is a feat in itself let alone all the hard graft. You guys deserve a nice holiday but maybe not a camping holiday lol. Loads of respect Denis
Thank you Denis 😊 It has certainly been a sharp learning curve this past year! Haha but yes we are very proud of what we’ve managed to achieve. Ahh, yes the wobbly shots….we always cringe a little when new people subscribe and tell us they will binge watch from the beginning…the sound and video quality! 🫣 we still can’t quite believe we have so many people watching along, it’s quite incredible! Haha yes maybe not a camping holiday….unless a sofa bed is provided, then that would be fine!
You two should be the official consultants in Ireland to advice on renovating derelict houses. Many are afraid to take the challenge even though there are certain grants for renovating houses. This also helps reduce housing crisis too. Many thanks for your video!, Wishing you good luck on your beautiful project
Haha well what high praise, I’m not sure our work is up to that at the moment lol. It can be overwhelming at times when you think too hard about all that there is to be done but it’ll get done eventually and yeah we’re definitely not afraid of it, it’s a challenge in a good way.
I absolutely love the fact that you could see what most people couldn't, it's beauty and potential. So happy for you, that you have a home and land to call your very own. ❤☘
Firstly Lynn, thank you for being a long time subscriber, 11 months is great and means a lot. I was going to say maybe we were naïve in not thinking why other people hadn't bought the house after being on the market for so so long, but now we know it all looked worse than it actually was and something a couple of DIYers with the determination to own their own home and land could fix. Give or take a ridge tile or two. We are over the moon being here, even tonight when we were outside just looking, Dawn said "Isn't it lovely here" and it is. I don't think this feeling will ever go away and we feel very lucky indeed. Thank you so much again :-)
Hello Pete, thank you for watching, commenting and subscribing. We had never been to Ireland and just fell in love with it. The lack of traffic, the open space, the ruralness, the cows walking past the front door, it is all incredible. The people are more than incredible and we have been made for feel very welcome and it was days until we knew we were at home. We are very very happy here and lucky. Thank you again :-)
I simply think, it’s totally Incredible what you both have done to this amazing home and the sacrifices you both gave up just to restore and start over!! What a beautiful couple and wonderful team work. I can’t wait to see what is next. I do pray that along the way it can be a little more easier for you both to be able to salvage what you can. Thank you for sharing your life and journey with us. Looking forward to more. Sending lots of prayer from Ohio🇺🇸 Cindy❤️
Hi Cindy. Thank you very much indeed. Because we rented in previous houses for so long, we didn't feel like we were sacrificing anything, just making a bit of a lifestyle change to actually own our own house and this time land too. We have a few bits of old furniture from the stored away which will need checking for it's condition, but hopefully one item may be OK. We will see. Other than the stairs and the actual doors (excluding the front door) it isn't look good for what wood remains. We still have the kitchen door frame to remove and an old cupboard frame. We will be doing our very best to recreate what we have had to remove though. I hope you have a wonderful evening. Thank you for watching and commenting :-)
you seem such a lovely couple and have done such a fantastic job so far. good luck with rest and will continue to watch. You seem very humble, hardworking and grateful for what you have. xx
Thank you very much Cathy for saying so. We are very grateful for being here, it was probably a one off chance for us, so we took it while the time was right... and now is now, 13 months later. Thank you for watching, commenting and continuing to watch the next steps we take :-)
Having only been watching for last 4 months and had to play catch up it was great to be reminded of exactly how much you both have achieved in just 1 year, you truly have done amazing for 2 people never having done anything like this before with limited equipment, Well done Ben and Dawn , I look forward every week for your video to pop up Love Tom
Thank you very much Tom. It has been lovely going through all the videos this last couple of weeks and seeing all what we have done this last year! We’re pretty pleased with what we’ve achieved so far. Long way to go but we will get there….eventually! 🤣 Thanks for joining us our journey Tom it means a lot 🥹
Hello TheCatlady, we love your name. which would sort of go without saying really as we are cat mad. Some was really hard, other bits nice work and the rest work, but every step of the way enjoyed. Thank you very much for watching and taking the time to comment :-)
Dawn, you are really good at the ancient stone wall/lime repairs! You both seem to be very ‘can do’ people. Your hard work is really paying off. Congratulations.
I’m learning the more that I do, still finding it tricky here and there but the main thing…still loving doing it which is a good thing because it takes a lonnnnng time 😂 yeah I think we’re lucky in that we are both willing to give it a go. UA-cam is a good teacher too 😉
I hope you are both very proud of your achievements. You should be. What a monumental amount of work undertaken by hand by you both. I’m sure it’s been hard, frustrating at times but ultimately rewarding. Can’t wait to see what you get up to in the coming year. Well done.👏👏👏👏
Hi Maeve, incredibly proud! It has been a lot of hard work but we have learned loads, grown in confidence and are ready for the next 12 months. We keep saying that we are loving it, but we really really are. Even the cows... they were passing by again today and while I was on the way back with the empty bins earlier I picked a few wild strawberries, what isn't there to love about being here. Thank you so very much for watching and commenting as you do :-)
Aww thank you MF. We really are living our dream and never thought it would come true but things happened and here we are. We are so proud of everything so far, some parts aren't in the time lapse due to the length of it. It is all very new to us and we are learning all the time. Thank you so much for a love comment and for watching :-)
I so loved watching your progress through out! One forgets that many decades ago, most of us started out with very little, and just grew from there! Your work ethic and a 'don't think about it, just do it' is a lesson to us all...!!! You're authenticity, honesty, and evolving new skills to meet the need is inspiring ❤ Looking forward to the future of your project... and the creative ideas that abound! When you only look back to see ones progress... Then you're on a winner! Wishing you good health in your place of peace! Cheers... ❤❤
What a lovely comment thank you very much ❤️ you’re absolutely right with starting with nothing. We started with unsafe collapsing and rotten floors and now we have safe clean and strong ones 💪 I love that saying “when you only look back to see ones progress….” Thank you for following us along and for your lovely heartfelt message 😊
What a wonderful synopsis of your 'journey' so far on your land and home in Ireland! You both have done a remarkable job of reclaiming and renovating both the house and the land. While you do have work left to accomplish both in and out side of both, the work you have done is amazing! I have so enjoyed following along as you plan and execute that 'job'! Thank you so much for the privilege of sharing your journey and experience. I look forward to year 2 from now until this time in 2025 and grateful to follow, support and cheer from the sidelines. 😊
Thank you Christy. It has been a brilliant year with ups and downs but seeing it all laid out in a video like that has definitely given me a bit of a boost to get cracking with it all for the coming 12 months! Thank you for being there and bringing the support and cheer, it does help to spur you on hugely to read everyone’s comments. Here’s hoping for good things for the coming year! 🥰
Bravo! Job well done...can't wait to see more. You know...new is nice but restoring old in is the best. Carry on! Lots of love and admiration from Wausau, Wisconsin USA ❤
Thank you! 🤩 You’re right new is nice too, we lived in a new build before this house and wow the difference. I must say living in the old feels more cosy though. We fell in love with this place warts and all and fingers crossed we get to keep it looking and feeling cosy as we go along. ❤️
Fantastic! U2 are soooo resilient! Super great vid! I love transformation and u2 have brought a very dilapidated home and land back to the land of the living!!! Congratulations! I love it soo much! So wonderful to watch and see you both grow and push on! Keep up the great work, you got this!!🎉🎉🎉😊💗💗😺😸😽
Awww thank you, we’re really pleased with how the video turned out and even more happy that you liked it too 😊 What a great way of looking at it, it does definitely feel like we’ve bought it all back to life again. Love how you included the cats! 🐈 🐱❤️
This is beautiful, thank you so so much. Sorry Dawn made you cry, it wasn't intentionally, just deeply heartfelt . Thank you so much for watching and commenting tonight :-)
@@thecornerhouseproject I understood it completely and was so happy for you and respect your courage. it was a good crying that you are making your dream true.
@@siameseire ❤️ it’s good to have a good cry now and again…we had many choked up moments when we were putting the video together, there’s a few parts that Ben will get really emotional about each and every time he sees it! I think we are still sooo surprised that we finally managed to make this happen!
I don't think that I have said "Oh my god!" so many times in a row as when you first showed us the inside of the house. Good on ya for having the vision and passion to get stuck in and accomplish so much.
Hi James, Thank you for watching and commenting. We say it now and then but oddly enough, not when we first saw the place or in the May once it was ours. BUT, when we removed the floor covering from the one bedroom, we did say "oh my god, we could have fallen straight through there" once or twice haha. Thank you again James :-)
Look at you... a 1 year subscriber, anyone would think you had inside information that we were starting a UA-cam channel over a year ago haha. It is incredible Kath isn't it. Me showing you the photos at work when we came back in May compared to now. It was a brave move but really worth it and so pleased we did. Next 12 months - here we go! Thank you Kath x
@thecornerhouseproject it is incredible. I've told loads of people to subscribe too! But I only found out the other day you don't get paid if we skip the ads. I always skip, I'll watch at least 30 seconds from now on. You need to ask everyone not to skip, they might not know, like me!
Thanks. We want to keep the house as it was as much as possible but also add some modern bits like the sink in the kitchen and maybe a couple of en-suits, but you see where we are going :-)
It was just a case of seeing past what it looked like and thinking of how it did look in the past and can look again. Maybe buying a derelict house full of mouldy furniture and rotten timber won't be on your bucket list lol. Thank you for watching and commenting :-)
Incredible what you’ve accomplished! Everything but especially the very overgrown area behind the outbuildings. I would have just looked at that and cried. You brought it back to life!
Haha there were definitely moments before we’d done anything to it, where we thought “how and where do you start?!” Little by little was the key rather than tackle that all at once and then one big push at it the beginning of this year! 😂
Good morning Marie Thank you very much for watching and commenting. Although we have so far to go and so much to do, both house, land and outbuildings, we are really pleased with where we have got to in just over 12 months. Thank you again :-)
It made us remember how much we have done too Joy and we are really proud of everything we have done. Thank you so much for watching and commenting :-)
Amazing work guys. It's so heartwarming to see these old houses brought back to life. So much better for the heritage of the country than knocking and building new. I'm sure as you set in your kitchen with a cuppa you can appreciate the work you have put in and the history and character of the house. No better feeling! Keep up the good work.
Hi and thank you for watching and commenting :-) Even though it is not the oldest of houses at only approximately 110 years old, maybe 120 it is a house we will do everything we can to bring it back to how it used to be (give or a take bedroom and en-suit). The ceilings will look the same, without the mould, and the kitchen fireplace opened back up. It will have modern bits like central heating etc, but where we don't need to , we will leave things as they are or recreate what couldn't be saved. You are right, it is lovely sat in the kitchen, with the stove burning when needed and just being here. Thank you so much again :-)
Can you both believe how much you have done? Absolutely fantastic work,I don’t know if you thought what have you done and accomplished in the two years. Keep going 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
Hello Maria, how are you today? Once we had finally put all the chunks of video together, sat down and watched it in one piece, it was a reminder of everything we have done and how much it has all changed. This time last year we were sleeping in the tent. Not a hardship but it is much nicer knowing that tonight we will be getting in the stupidly oversized super king sized bed hahahaha. I know Dawn thanked you, but also a huge thank you from me too for your support. It means so much :-) Of course thank you for watching and commenting :-)
Thank you! And thank you for being there throughout it all too! It is pretty cool to see it all chucked together like that and watch it all happen in a short space of time. ❤️
Welcome to The Corner House. We are really proud and very pleased with how it is all going. The odd set back from time to time, but up we get and start again the next day. May I just say what a great name you have :-) Thank you for watching and commenting this evening :-)
Thank you so much Anna. We are more comfortable with things now so do agree, and hope, that things will fly by. Not too quickly though we hope. Thank you for watching and commenting tonight :-)
Yes that is so nice to watch your laughs and jokes, and about me writing some words makes me nervous and as I am Dutch and always afraid to make mistakes. I wish you lots of happiness and good luck 🫶🏻🍀💐
Bedankt zoals altijd J. ❤️ Ben & Dawn
All you have achieved in such short time and it looks fantastic. 🌟👍I wish you lots of good luck 🍀 I admire the way you keep going on and still can make jokes.🤩🍀💐
I know Dawn jokes about seeing words from you J, but it is so nice to read what you have to say as we know you mean it. 12 months have gone so quickly (as it does for everyone) but not actually knowing what day it was even after being here for three months just showed us we were really up against time and the winter coming. Now we normally know what day it is so means we must have slowed down to a normal pace now, which is nice. We are so pleased with how it currently is compared to how it was and we always have time to laugh and joke, we don't film the crying hahahaha. Quite a bit to be done inside again before the winter, hopefully not temporary this time. Thank you again J, it means a lot. :-)
Hi Dawn & Ben. The first thing is to congratulate you on this first year in this beautiful project, and the second is to thank you for the generosity of sharing it with all of us, we are already 70,000 followers!!! And there is no doubt that you, with your joy, with your sympathy, with your concern in your pleasant responses, and with all your personal qualities, which are reflected in each chapter, have made us feel part of all this. Many times their videos are the joy of the day for us and what can we say about their responses... They are the most exciting thing of the week. Congratulations again, receive all my support in what lies ahead. Mario. Hi Dawn & Ben.
@@thecornerhouseproject Phew!!! Excited is not enough.🥺 And they managed to leave me speechless for a long time🤐… which is very difficult.🤣🤣🤣 I edited my comment because I thought I was being unwise, by telling something so personal, at a time when you are the ones being celebrated for your first year in “The House on the Corner.” To which I make a firm promise: This afternoon I will raise my glass, with a Jigger of “Tullamore dew” to your health!!! And for your dream in Ireland!!! 🥃 My birthday is just a few days away, I consider the sixth line of your response a precious early gift, which touched me very deeply, it was very exciting.🤩 Flooded, absolutely “flooded” by that very careful and kind phrase. Thanks Dawn and Ben. (I don't think there's any reason not to show what I edited anymore.) “To celebrate the occasion I will allow myself a personal reflection. Well, you know why I started watching them and you know that the fire in the fireplace decided me to subscribe. But, several times I have asked myself, what made me write to you? And I had already suspected it a few chapters ago. It is something in their voices, and today, in this account, with their voices full of deep tranquility I no longer have a doubt, the rhythm, the emotional accents, the pauses, the style... You speak how my mother spoke, in English. 👩👧👧 So it's not just historical, it's not just an old farm in Ireland, it's not just discovering, often in the comments I read, local customs; the thing is that she, Sofía, would have really enjoyed your UA-cam channel. Thank you for bringing me your memory, which accompanies me as I watch you advance in your beautiful project.” 🍀
I binged watched from the beginning recently so it was all fresh to me. You did so much in so little time. Well done on a years hard graft. I still can’t get over the improvements to the garden. Good on you both and keep up the good work. 😊❤
Hi Christine, thank you so much for commenting. We have people who watch for the house, people who watch for the land and people who just watch what we have been up to. Although the house is obviously the main project, the land was a big deal to us and we wanted to get it manageable for the Spring and Summer, the month spent on it was worth every minute. Although it needs strimming and mowing after only a week, keeping on top of it is so much easier now. But even I was impressed with how it looked at the end of the video. Thank you again :-)
Thank you very much Althea, that is really kind. Lots and lots still to be done but we will enjoy every step. Thank you for watching and commenting tonight :-)
Great video, amazing to look back and see how much you have achieved. You are creating a wonderful homestead for yourselves, and thanks for taking us on the journey ❤
Thank you and yeah we thought that when we watched through beginning to end over and over whilst editing it! 😂 Seriously though it was great going through it all and seeing how unsure we were in the beginning to then going onto the next room a whole lot more confident 😊❤️
@thecornerhouseproject exactly ! Replacing the beams in the first side you where unsure, but you could see your confidence growing, you smashed through the second side like pros.
Hi John, thank you very much. We are very lucky in that we do work really well together. There’s the odd moments when it’s not so lol but yeah we have the same outlook with most of it.
Thank you very much indeed. We have loved it from the second we saw it and intend to do our very best for the house and land. Thank you and thank you again :-)
Thank you for coming along for the ride. Sometimes it is a little bumpy but I think the trip wasn't too bad in the end haha. Thank you so much Barbara for being a long time watcher and commenter :-)
That is absolutely fine Inge. To be honest we are overwhelmed by all of the comments and answering them all as quickly as we can :-) Thank you very much for watching and commenting :-)
I didn't watch the first part before it was cleared out but I will go back and look another day. From when it was cleared out of all the inside junk it was such an amazing transformation watching you both pull out and put in new joists was wonderful and you both have worked so so hard. The garden and revealing all that you have is so lovely to watch, it's like you are both on a special archeological dig and discovering so much history and it's all yours to keep and build on. Congrats on such an amazing job and I will be following along with your adventures, your house and land is a dream come true and all that hard work you've done and will do is something to be so proud off and it seems that you have also blended into the surrounding community, enjoy the wealth of beauty you have before you
The first part is depressing Cherylene as it shows how rotten and damp the house was, the land overgrown and areas completely covered. Thank you so much for watching and commenting Cherylene, missing the beginning or nor lol. Also, thank you so so much for subscribing :-)
Hi Karen. It is hard work and like you say, if you have done it you already know, but isn't it worth it :-) You are most welcome but more importantly, thank you for watching and commenting :-)
My God , balls on you two like Bengali Tigers 🐅. What is it about all these videos and tv shows about mad Brits taking on monumental tasks 😂😂😂 Well done guys . Nothing ventured nothing gained . And you’ll appreciate it all 100% more than a turn key showhouse . Wish you all the very best 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
🤣 🤣 love it! Thank you very much for the wonderful compliment! 😉 Nothing ventured, nothing gained is exactly the right motto to live by! Oh yes we’ll definitely appreciate it more knowing we’ve done it ourselves! What a feeling! 🍀
As we sat in our flat in London, my wife and I were captivated by the incredible transformation of your dream house. We absolutely loved it and are now inspired to take on our own renovation project! Though I must admit, I'm not sure we could match the dedication and hard work you’ve shown. Your video is, without a doubt, the best renovation journey we've seen on UA-cam
Aww wow! That’s amazing, go for it because it really is one of those things that if you don’t do it you will always regret not going for it! Thank you so much for your high high praise for the video too, that truly means so much to us! It took a couple of weeks to out together and we were really pleased with how it turned out. ❤️
Only found you today and you both are an inspiration. What’s really lovely is the fact you work side by side and achieve. I just remembered my sister and I bought a dump in 1976 and renovated on the weekends. This kind of activity provides lots of stories as you go along and do better. ❤😊
Good evening Marjo, we are pleased you found us. Some jobs are much easier done together, the joists especially, but even down to removing paint, it is so much faster. Other things we would get in the way of each other or only one can do it, so sometimes we do things on our own. I bet you have some stories from the "dump" you bought an renovated. I don't think we have a great stories yet for us but there is plenty of time :-) Thank you for joining us Marjo and commenting :-)
There are so many old houses in Ireland just waiting for someone to buy them to bring them back to life. Although it looked scary, it wasn't as bad as it looked. Thank you for so many comments Freeborn Living Woman :-)
I remember my dad playing the accordion. It's been a long time since I heard one being played. Well done on you guys taking on this beautiful manor to restore. Look forward to the journey.
It’s a lovely sound when played well isn’t it? We bought one for Lukas for Christmas a good few years ago and he loved learning it. I also used to have a teacher at junior school that would play the accordion for some of our lessons!
I started watching when you were clearing the land and am amazed at how much you have done prior to this. You are both very hard workers and Dawn you are a star. Well done to you both . Looking forward to the next 12 months but don’t forget to take a break occasionally as you both deserve it. Watching from Perth , Western Australia
Ahh wow the land….well that was some long hard work there. The house was a breeze compared to all that digging, barrowing and raking! 😉 funnily enough the video has taken us so long to get sorted that we’ve had a very nice forced break but now it’s done it’ll be business as usual now, it’s not good taking a long break because you have to convince your body to get going again 🫣 Thank you for comment and also thanks for sticking around when the land ended 😊
I love that you do all the work. If you don’t have a ton of money you have to. It’s satisfying but a lot of work. It takes years to renovate a house like this with out a lot of money so it’s so worth it. Really great job. I hope you are enjoying your home.
Oh we really do enjoy it, it’s a lovely house and we feel very lucky to be able to be doing it. Yeah lack of money does slow things down a bit but definitely worth all the effort in doing it yourself, so much more satisfying to see it start to come together with your own hands!
Jumping in and subscribing to what I see a great accomplishment. you should be proud. You’ve done a fantastic job in one year and created you a wonderful home. I know you’re working will continue and I’ll continue to thank you so much for putting on a show. Also you have some amazing kind and helpful neighbors. God has blessed you with good people around you.
Good evening Bonnie, thank you so much for watching commenting and of course subscribing, welcome to The Corner House, you are very welcome. We are incredibly proud, more than we could have imagined. The reward of just being able to say "we did that" is lovely. We are so lucky with out neighbours. Out of the seven places we looked at, we feel this one knew we would be looked after by the neighbours. It is remote, but not too remote. The balance is just right. Thank you again Bonnie, have a lovely evening :-)
Dawn did a great job on it and for a first go it is really impressive. Lots still to go on that building, but one day we will get a roof back on it. Thank you very much for watching and commenting :-)
Hi Dawn and Ben, that was a magic walk through of the past year, skimming through all those accomplishments as though they were plain sailing ( wouldn't that have been wonderful, lol) It has been a pleasure and joy to follow you along the way :) Hoping to tag along for more of the project and keep up to date with progress as you go. What, no mention of blossom watch and then finding the holes in the tree? Aww, that was so sad, poor Ben you were so deflated, I think everyone felt your pain xxx Keep up the good work and thanks again for sharing.
Hahaha it would be amazing if all those jobs had gone as fast as how Timelapse makes them look. We would have finished the house by now! 🤣 oh yes we forgot all about blossom watch! Oh how could we eh?!🤣 oh he really was deflated when that happened. It’s funny how this renovation lark messes with your emotions. Talking of emotions…going through all the videos to make the video was very emotional! 😭 in a nice way though. You are most welcome to tag along for more of the project, hope you can pencil us in for the next 10 years! 🤣🤣 fingers crossed we get it done a bit quicker than though! Thank you for being here 😊xxx
I think you're doing a fabulous job. Keep it up. One day it will be finished. Continue to enjoy eachother as you go. I pray life over you both. May God Continue to bless you both.
Thank you very much indeed Renee, that is very kind of you. Yes, one day. No rush though and yes, we will be sure to enjoy each other :-) Thank you so much Renee for watching and commenting :-)
Wow ye were absolutely amazing to get so much achieved in a short time ❤
It is very beautiful, but it still pales in comparison to my father's house.
👏👏👏🥳🎊🎉🥳
👍😉🇨🇮☘️Eire
A super video that celebrates what can be done with hard work, a sense of humour, a zest for learning, trying new skills and a big dream! ❤
Aww thank you Sharon that was really nice to read ❤️😍
@@thecornerhouseproject ♥️🇨🇦
WOW WOW WOW. 😮
You two are superhuman ❤ Can't believe what you have both achieved in just a year.
You’re completely right with how much our confidence has grown, it took us so long to get to starting to take the first lot of joists out and then once we’d done that…no stopping us on the rest! 😂
Thank you so very much for your comment it truly has meant so much to read! 😘
I have just subscribed, having watched your channel for the first time. I am so proud of you both and I don't even know you. Well done. You are brave determined folk and deserve lots of reward for your hard work. All the best:-)
One of the best home renovations i have seen .. these people are real workers .. they are a credit to their tenacity and share determination …. ❤️
Thank you very very much Karen, that is very kind indeed :-)
I forgot just how bad the house was. You have done a wonderful job of making it a lovely little home.
We do sometimes as well Karla! 😂 Doing this video and seeing all the old videos we were “ooh it was quite bad!” I think you have rose tinted specs on in the beginning and the excitement far outweighs what it looked like. 😘
I agree, a credit to you both.
Thank you so much Deborah :-)
We quite often say to each other…”we own all of this!” Mind blowing 🤯
Lack of money just means you have to get a little more creative 😂 is all.
It’s hard to imagine falling in love with that house but y’all had the vision and have come a long way…
Haha I must admit when we look back at the old video..we think “ooh that was quite bad” but I think I said to someone else…the excitement and the rose tinted glasses mask the worse bits and you just see the potential.
To be honest, I’m not sure where the energy comes from some days and there are days when it doesn’t come 😂
It’s so nice to read that we might in some way help others to realise they can do this too. UA-cam is the greatest tool in this day and age for giving you the confidence that you could possibly do all sorts of things. It’s amazing really when you think about it. A little bit of knowledge goes a long long way. Talking of loooong, yes the the land clearing wow that felt like it would never end! 🤣
Thank you for commenting and most of all thank you for watching all the way along 🥰 and supporting us from afar it means a lot to us 😘
So much work, I know there had to be times when you both were asking Where on earth do we even start?
Thank you for being with us for so long :-)
What a wonderful recap of the whole past year. You've got an amazing a lot of work done in that short period of time.
It took a lot of time to get the video sorted and wow it was quite emotional going through all the videos again and seeing it laid out in one go like that!
Wow!! Great to see how far you have come. It’s amazing to see how hard you have worked and the patience you have demonstrated.
Go n-éirí an ghrían oraibh araon agus an bháisteach ag titim go bog ar bhur gceann,
agus go dtuga Dia luach saothair do bheirt leis an bparthas atá tuillte agaibh.
(May the sun shine upon you both and the rain fall softly upon your heads
and may God reward you both with the paradise you deserve).
Thank you very much indeed :-)
Golly I had forgotten how bad it was at the start. Inspiring effort, well done Ben and Dawn. ❤
Thank you Peter. Haha yes we do too. It’s nice to be reminded when we’re going through our “we haven’t done much” moments of just how it did look. 😂
Wow a year already. You should gives yourselves a massive pat on the back at what you have achieved in this last year. You have plodded through in all weathers and do not let anything phase you. I admire your grit and determination. Well done both of you
Hi Angela
A year, it has flown by.
Aww thank you what a lovely comment to read. That's how we like to see it too. xx
I love this ❤❤
I cannot believe it’s been a year already, you guys have done a great job!! Here’s to a great rest of 2024! 🎉
Thank you! No we can’t quite believe it had been a year already! Time sure flies when you’re having (mostly) fun! 😜 😘
Loads of respect
Denis
Fair play to yu' Guys. Awesome life-changing decision. I've been to Ireland 4 times, I love the place and the people. Very envious. ❤
Você estão fazendo uma boa limpeza e uma grande reforma boa sorte 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏💪💪💪🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷💯
Thank you 🤩
I simply think, it’s totally Incredible what you both have done to this amazing home and the sacrifices you both gave up just to restore and start over!!
Grand/Great Job! The Right People for the Right Place. ✨🍀✨
Thank you! 🤩 We love it here so much, it does feel like it was right for us ❤️🍀
you seem such a lovely couple and have done such a fantastic job so far. good luck with rest and will continue to watch.
I think you are both amazing, you have done so much hard work in a year. I wish you all the best in your future endeavours.
Hello TheCatlady, we love your name. which would sort of go without saying really as we are cat mad.
Some was really hard, other bits nice work and the rest work, but every step of the way enjoyed.
Thank you very much for watching and taking the time to comment :-)
Inside and outside you have done so much. I think you could write a children's book. Moral of story hard work and sweat and perseverance pays off😊❤
We dug, dug ,and dug some more.😂
Haha, maybe one day if we find the time we may put pen to paper haha.
Thanks Vickie for watching and commenting :-)
Oh we did dig and dig and we kept on digging. Now we do it in secret hahaha.
Great to have you both here...great fit with this country
Thank you so very much, that means more than you realise 🥹
Thank you so very much for watching and commenting as you do :-)
what great people you are and how wonderful it is that your are living your dream, i can see the love you have for it and so proud
You're authenticity, honesty, and evolving new skills to meet the need is inspiring ❤
Looking forward to the future of your project... and the creative ideas that abound!
When you only look back to see ones progress...
Then you're on a winner!
Wishing you good health in your place of peace!
Cheers... ❤❤
What a lovely comment thank you very much ❤️ you’re absolutely right with starting with nothing. We started with unsafe collapsing and rotten floors and now we have safe clean and strong ones 💪
I love that saying “when you only look back to see ones progress….”
Thank you for following us along and for your lovely heartfelt message 😊
I need a lie down after watching all your hard work over the last year. Be proud you have done amazingly, you'll get there! XX
I don't think the last year was anything compared to putting that video together haha.
We are really really proud Carol, thank you very much xx
Your ending segment made me cry. I am so amazed by you two. Bless you!! and may your dreams blossom into fulfillment as beautifully as your garden. 💛
Omg this was so emotional,You two are amazing. It’s can only get better and better ,love and hugs
Aww 🥰 haha yes we found it pretty emotional getting altogether! Thank you Sandy ❤️
What a difference a year makes! It's been great watching your progress and keeping in touch. Here's to the next year! 🎉
I admire your determination and ambition - especially with regard to trying to maintain the spirit of the house. I wish both of you well… good luck!
Thanks. We want to keep the house as it was as much as possible but also add some modern bits like the sink in the kitchen and maybe a couple of en-suits, but you see where we are going :-)
When I saw that house, I'd have been sick, would have turned and ran!
Your doing the work of 20 people your dedication and hard work has paid off your home looks fantastic 100%
Good morning Marie
Thank you very much for watching and commenting. Although we have so far to go and so much to do, both house, land and outbuildings, we are really pleased with where we have got to in just over 12 months.
Thank you again :-)
Serge has done so well with the floor it looks amazing and it will be even better once finished ❤
Seeing it all together in just 1yr you have achieved so much. You should be so proud of yourselves. Great to see thankyou
Hi and thank you for watching and commenting :-)
Even though it is not the oldest of houses at only approximately 110 years old, maybe 120 it is a house we will do everything we can to bring it back to how it used to be (give or a take bedroom and en-suit).
It means so much :-)
Of course thank you for watching and commenting :-)
It's very good you guys embarking in this renovation adventure. Have fun and pour love in that beautiful building.
Aww we certainly intend to. We still pinch ourselves that we actually own this place! 😮🥰
I’ve been watching pretty much from the beginning but boy it’s really amazing when you see it fast forwarding! Keep up good work guys! ✌🏻💞😊
Thank you! And thank you for being there throughout it all too! It is pretty cool to see it all chucked together like that and watch it all happen in a short space of time. ❤️
That's a BIG house and a beautiful piece of land!! What a fantastic find!
Aww yes we think so too. We forget how big it is until we go outside at the front and look at it as a whole thing! ❤️
Absolutely loved the replay video. I admire both of you. God’s very best to you both.🇨🇦🇨🇦
Thank you very much 😊 and we’re very glad you liked it ❤️
Just discovered you guys, and you should be so proud! Don’t listen to the negative folks, this is living a dream from start to finish!
Welcome to The Corner House. We are really proud and very pleased with how it is all going. The odd set back from time to time, but up we get and start again the next day.
May I just say what a great name you have :-)
Thank you for watching and commenting this evening :-)
wonderful thank you for that Timelapse. looking forward to more of your journey bless your family
Anna, it is us that needs to thank you and everyone else who watches / comments.
Thank you so much :-)
You should both be very proud of yourselves. Thanks for sharing your journey. Mike 🇦🇺
We are extremely proud Mike. You are most welcome and thank you for watching and taking the time to comment :-)
Amazing to see how much you have accomplished this year with all your new skills honed daily the next year should fly. 🎉
Ben & Dawn
Ben and Dawn :-)
@@thecornerhouseproject Phew!!! Excited is not enough.🥺 And they managed to leave me speechless for a long time🤐… which is very difficult.🤣🤣🤣
I edited my comment because I thought I was being unwise, by telling something so personal, at a time when you are the ones being celebrated for your first year in “The House on the Corner.” To which I make a firm promise: This afternoon I will raise my glass, with a Jigger of “Tullamore dew” to your health!!! And for your dream in Ireland!!! 🥃
My birthday is just a few days away, I consider the sixth line of your response a precious early gift, which touched me very deeply, it was very exciting.🤩
Flooded, absolutely “flooded” by that very careful and kind phrase.
Thanks Dawn and Ben.
(I don't think there's any reason not to show what I edited anymore.)
“To celebrate the occasion I will allow myself a personal reflection.
So it's not just historical, it's not just an old farm in Ireland, it's not just discovering, often in the comments I read, local customs; the thing is that she, Sofía, would have really enjoyed your UA-cam channel.
Thank you for bringing me your memory, which accompanies me as I watch you advance in your beautiful project.” 🍀
Mario
Not a bother. It was a massive job and ye did brilliantly.😊❤
An amazing job so far. You both obviously are hard workers and have the determination to make it work. Wonderful job and a joy to watch.
It's nice to see husband and wife working together as a team on the same wavelength....I envy yous....yous are doing ba great job....john
Hi John, thank you very much. We are very lucky in that we do work really well together. There’s the odd moments when it’s not so lol but yeah we have the same outlook with most of it.
Hats off to you both - a true labour of love ❤
Thank you very much indeed. We have loved it from the second we saw it and intend to do our very best for the house and land.
Thank you and thank you again :-)
A year! You’ve accomplished so much. I’ve been watching since the beginning-thank you for letting me come along for the ride!
Thank you for coming along for the ride. Sometimes it is a little bumpy but I think the trip wasn't too bad in the end haha.
Thank you so much Barbara for being a long time watcher and commenter :-)
You two are amazing! Kudos to you for following your dreams!
Thank you Rosalee ❤️
Outstanding. This was a sheer joy to watch and experience with you.
Well done and thanks for sharing.
Incredibly inspirational ❤️
Thank you very very much, that is really kind of you to say. We are pleased you enjoyed watching.
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment :-)
I can't add anything on what's already been said. Well done, you both!! 🧡
That is absolutely fine Inge. To be honest we are overwhelmed by all of the comments and answering them all as quickly as we can :-)
Thank you very much for watching and commenting :-)
Wonderful journey, wonderful achievement.
Thank you very much indeed David and thank you for commenting :-)
I love watching you both it’s hard work I know I have done it myself. So thank you for sharing this with us. ❤
Hi Karen.
It is hard work and like you say, if you have done it you already know, but isn't it worth it :-)
You are most welcome but more importantly, thank you for watching and commenting :-)
So
As we sat in our flat in London, my wife and I were captivated by the incredible transformation of your dream house.
I don't think we have a great stories yet for us but there is plenty of time :-)
Thank you for joining us Marjo and commenting :-)
Its so very sad that someone's home was abandoned for so long...... May your hardwork and love breath fresh life into it.
😉 funnily enough the video has taken us so long to get sorted that we’ve had a very nice forced break but now it’s done it’ll be business as usual now, it’s not good taking a long break because you have to convince your body to get going again 🫣
Thank you for comment and also thanks for sticking around when the land ended 😊
Beautiful work on the workshop wall!!! I really admire you both for your grit and determination. Keep going!!!🥰🥰
No rush though and yes, we will be sure to enjoy each other :-)
Thank you so much Renee for watching and commenting :-)
