  • Our team at the farm learned how to make an Effective Microorganism Activated Solution (EMAS) to help increase our soil fertility, use it as a fertilizer, and wastewater treatment. We also learned how to make bokashi and mud balls which we later threw into our aquaponic pond.
Effective Microorganism (EM) is a liquid mixed culture containing lactic acid bacteria, phototropic bacteria, and yeast. When the EM-1 solution is mixed with water and molasses, we can create a solution (EMAS) to use as a fertilizer.
Thank you to EM Research Organization Inc. for this training. If you want to learn more about EM, you can contact EM Research Organization Inc. (bit.ly/3vQ7c6x)

How about in the Philippines showing them how to make their own Lactic Acid Bacteria culture using rice wash water? There’s several videos on UA-cam about how to do this.

Shits wrong lol. None of these beneficial microbes will grow in that blue tank if you just give them a carbon source such as mollasses. An essential component of any cell is nitrogen, eg their cell walls are mainly made from protein. and cells uptake nitrogen they need in the form of ammonia. How can any of those microbs syntheisze new microbial cells ie grow if you dont give them a nitrogen source.
