Headcanon: The Goddesses instructed the Windmill Man to play this with a magic music box, turning him into a God of Storms.
Link taught him the song the windmill man then taught it to link who taught it to the windmill man add infinitum
The paradox started when flat taught him it in Majora's mask then he came back and played it. Now there's a link somewhere stranded paradox. Now it's debatable if after the windmill man died later and was reincarnated as the god of storms. UnovaKid 24 needs work, but not bad. I’d change the thunder line to “thunder CRASHING by”, the droplets line to “droplets leave a thousand stains” to rhyme with the previous lines, and “that’s something I like” to “a terrifying sight”.

@@redacc1835 No, in the HYLIAN alphabet; where the non-English letters are. It makes it a lowercase "C" instead.
This really depends on which alphabet you are talking about. There are like 3 (?) Hylian alphabets I think, the ocarina of time one (which is based on the Japanese writing system katakana and therefore has no C) the wind waker one (which because of the image on the video is what I’m assuming u are referencing, in which case you are correct in that it’s also based on katakana and has no c) and the twilight princess one (which is based the English alphabet and therefore has a C).
Honourable mentions: the gerudo (ocarina of time) and sheikah (breath of the wild) are the English alphabet and have Cs and the ancient language from skyward sword is untranslatable

After hearing it the first time, I played it a couple more that night and the next day. Starting to think that was a mistake. About 12 hours later, it started storming. It's been about 18 hours since then with very little break. -Either- magic is real -or I got really, really coincidental timing-
I just have to play any version just once, and eventually an powerful storm does come… never right away, but it always happens and not even weather-predicting humans can predict the specific moment it happens!
I’ve had this version on loop while scrolling through the comments, so who knows how long it’ll last when it does arrive!!!

This was really something special. I love the way it starts out so light and kind and then becomes so intense. The effects with all the yelling and crashing thunder and rain really added a lot to the middle, very much like an actual storm. My favorite is honestly the last bit where it recedes into calm once more, the way your voice hits something so light with "hero of the wind" is really lovely. I never got into LoZ but these covers are really nice.

You actually made me believe that this song was in Wind Waker (I just finished the game) and this was incredible. The Wind God singing in the background was a subtle, yet great touch. As well as the increase in tempo and voice as the song continued was great, as if you were actually going into a storm. Also the ending was quiet, content, and hopeful. A perfect ending to this amazing song. Your music always makes my day. Thank you for everything

BEHOLD AS YOU BLOT OUT THE SUN! NOW, BRING THE THUNDER!
This shakes my heart like a resounding shanty and a roaring thunderstorm all at once. Which, I understand why-- that's a description of the song! But the fact that simply listening to this song brings about the same sort of quake in my soul that listening to such a song in a real storm would... That's a testament to your skill.
This sounds like it's being sung by a servant ( that in my mind, looks like a green cloaked Garo with the triforce on his back and in the middle of it is Farore's crest of courage. Also he has a loudspeaker on his right shoulder acting as the second voice) to Link, who trying to keep his spirits high by singing the song of storm while dancing, as they travil to through the sea. Then they fight a monster creating an evil storm, I like to imagine that the servant summons a counteracting storm to fight the beast, while Link shoots cannons at it. With each sound of thunder, a lighting blot hits the servant slowly killing him. Soon the servant and Link kills the monster, and then disperses the storm...but not before he gets hit by lightning one last time. And at the end Link is sitting next to the dying servant, crying. The servant then reassures Link by saying that they ( him and his living loudspeaker on his shoulder) will always be with him and that Link needs to continue on, and have courage. He then imparts Link with the song of storms, saying he will always be with Link, in the song of storms. The servant then finishes the singing the song of storms then dies. Link soon sets his body adrift into the sea as Link looks forward on to the new horizon....
Sorry if that sounded corny and or fanfictiony, that's just what this song with these lyrics make me think of when I hear it

After reading this then listening to it again your right
It does sound fanfiction like and I love it! You made me cry as I listened do the song and read your comment! I saw the imags of like a pirate who joined the royal navy and is tasked with getting them through the harsh storms. Someone similar to that Poe Collecter from OOT. He's a bit unhinged, years spent on the high seas, sunbaked one too many times and maybe a few near death experiences drove him mad, but he is still a capable seaman and tries to to make Link laugh and smile whenever he can knowing the young Hero misses his family. He also has a Poe friend fhat possess the hand held megaphone, who had died at sea and thus is very intuned to the mighty mistress's moods.
He sings calmly at first just enough to give them a boost but when MegaPoe (the Megaphone Poe) suddenly calls out, something he does when he sense a shift in the tides, the Pirate gets a bit more firm with his song, moving to take the helm before a sudden storm strikes not of his creation. A kraken like beast surges to the surface, causing the storm and frying to down the ship. Many are lost in the ensuing battle as the Pirate and MegaPoe sing their hearts out. But MegaPoe realizes that during one of the attacks his friend is fatally injured but refuses to give up the wheel or to tell the child, who is manning as many canons as he can with what few of the crew remain. When fhe Kraken is finalky dead and the storm is gone. Link runs to the Pirate excited and pleased. The priate cannot help by smile and praise him for his bravery and skills manning a canon. But then Link notices the blood and is horrified. He tries to give him some red potion or even use his last fairy to save the man, but the Pirate stops him. He holds the boy close as he sings for the last time, his voice growing softer as life slips away. Teaching Link the Song of Storms and promising to aid him whenever the lad sings. After he is gone both the Pirate and MegaPoe move on, MegaPoe only having remained because of his former Captain. Link is heart broken, but promises them that he will do all he can as a man of the Sea.... Time skip some years and Link is now a man, a fierce captain and a well respected one. The wind plays at his ear, a pair of faint voices sing in his ear and he smiles wicked and begins to sing the Song of Storms, the only warning his men have that theybars about to have a fierce battle...
Well this isnt too far off since spirit tracks had a magic train and other similar machines, and botw has guardians

Eeeee! More Zelda! New lyrics too! I love them so much. They are so cute and bouncy and I oddly enjoy the choice to make it so undoubtedly windwaker instead of one of the other games. The song of storms is one that shows up in nearly every one, so any could have worked. But Windwaker just seems the most appropriate, even from just from a lore perspective, a storm would be most impactful on the open sea.
Gah. Now I find myself half hoping for the temple songs (especially fire!) . But at the same time I'd rather not drown you in Zelda xD. Go where your muse takes you

I was looking for a version of this song that was chaos and destruction so the first time I heard the start off it I was not interested but I came back later just in case and omg this is what I was looking for the start of it completely fooled me on how the song is in total but now I love this song

This is one of my favorite songs from Ocarina Of Time, and seeing that someone put lyrics to it... I think I may have cried a bit.
Adding the hylian lyrics is a nice touch.
I really love this lyrical adaptation. Here is some constructive criticism, your voice messes up when the squid image appear into your normal speaking voice rather than this storyteller voice. Perhaps have a less frantic lyric instead of the one you chose.
