Hello and Happy Halloween! Thank you for joining me - this week I'm updating you on my knitting progress over the last two weeks. I finished my spooky socks knit out of Hedgehog Fibres Sock and Knitpicks Stroll Brights

Working on the Pink Velvet Sweater knit out of Euphoria Knits Yarn, as well as my socks on 9" circulars out of yarn dyed by the Fawn and the Fox.
I also started a scrappy project with all my leftover sock yarn, I'm just doing simple three round granny squares with a #8 (5mm) crochet hook and yarn held double. I'll join them all together with a contrast colour yarn once I have them all laid out the way I want.

Your Pink Velvet is going to be stunning! Great colors for you. I’ve seen the scrappy granny squares alternating with a neutral solid that might help break up the concern about thr placement. I love that look. Great shop update coming, I get a lot of comments when I show your bag on my podcast. I love that XL Finch bucket draw string style. Probably will have to try one of the smaller version.

I have joined granny blankets both ways. The join the way you were talking about beats my other method. That one involved crocheting them together with single crochet. I crochet them 'join as you go'. Happy Halloween!

Hmm I checked it out and there was a glitch where the sale price wasn't showing up until you actually clicked on the item and got to the description page - but it seems to be fixed now. Hope this helps!

Your granny squares would look cool if you did a dark grey or black yarn so the colours really POP! I've only made them where you do your colour that you're going to connect them with you go around each of the squares then crochet up that row with one square on top of the other. Love your Christmas bags adorable!

I think that's what I'm going to do - I love charcoal so might go with that for the outside edge
