Hey Alex. in 2017 year I found your channel and started trying to make orchestral music. I have rock band background and no music education Since then I made music for commercials and some mobile games, sometimes even for free. And today I got a letter from a big game company I made demo to. They hired me as a music composer for big game project for a large awesome game based on famous setting, game releases in two years. It is my first big project, and even though I have smallest pay rate among all the composers on this project, I'm so fucking happy. Thank you for your tutorials, I'd never made it without them
Much obliged tutorial we all have to watch,My Man!you're the reason i've started my orchestral career on FL studio since i dont even know anything about music....now i learned everything from your tutorials...thanks a lot alex
Alex is one of the few that gets me and understand what I need. Great stuff as usual and my music has progressed so much thanks to you and other resources. You have had a big impact in my growth and I'm always surprised by myself constantly lately when I compose something.
Fluid Shorts is awesome :D Want Metropolis, but that price lol .. Just got into sample libraries this year. So far have komplete standard and a lot of 8dio libraries. Oh well, one day I will get metropolis ark maybe :D
Absolutely! Fluid Shorts is a library I use only in very specific cases, I find it doesn't adapt itself perfectly to every genre, but it's the perfect choice for some like Pirate
@@gandalf2867 You'll get pretty far with that already. It's not about the libraries to become a good composer, but about the right mindset! But I have to say, Ark 1 is really great, I use the choir all the time!😄
@@AlexMoukala Yeah I love the rawness and noise of it, it makes them realistic, but also really fitting for this particular type of music. I love this about Orchestral Tools and Performance Samples. What are other cases where you'd use Fluid Shorts, Alex?
Welcome back Alex! I am still going through all your tutorials and it has helped me immensely. All the work of learning and composing with the help of your tutorial channel has finally landed me an opportunity. A track I composed with a friend at my work place is to be used in a conference next week :) I am very grateful for your channel and of course the music and podcast channels. I am still on this amazing journey all introduce by you and to embrace music composing. All the best and you keep composing too Alex!
Would love to see an analysis of the other parts of this track... after looking into each individual part, then analyzing what makes the full track sound complete should be a great idea.. As you said, it went from bouncy pirate music to romantic and tragic elements, which in the end makes up for this epic track. The way all of this adds up is something worth deep-diving in
This is one of the best and most inspiring things I have watched for a long time! It's easy to understand, inspiring as hell, and just screams in your face: Yo-ho let's do this! And it is a really quick video, you don't have time to get distracted and just want to do this. It's perfect! Can't wait to see more of this kind! But now I have to write a track :D Thank you!
I think you ALWAYS identify the "Horn Rips" in your videos? I love it because I had no idea what it was, and thus had no idea how to create it. You're so beginner friendly and your attitude towards us N00bs is both assertive and direct, while also being warm and approachable. Even when you say something like "This is beginner work, and it sounds beginner. This'll never get placement." I never feel like you're talking down to anyone, because you just want people to be successful. Keep em comin dude :)
Great to see you back! This channel is serious quality, fantastic insights in your tutorials, would love to see more as well of this short format video, keep up the fantastic work
Glad to see a new post on this channel .😁Aside from all the amazing content on your other channels, this one in particular has been a massive inspiration in me learning to compose orchestral music (still a work in progress though lol) especially when I look back at your older vlogs and learn about your journey to where you are now. All this to say, your content wherever it’s posted is very much appreciated.
Hi, I would love to see your tutorial on the dark fantasy music. I'm an aspiring composer, and currently I work on a souls-like game, so that'll be very useful! I find your videos very interesting and inspiring, and would love to see more.
Bro I would love to see a breakdown of the score I love the most GOD OF WAR 4 each and every time I hear it , has a really great impact on the story telling and describing the character of kratos. Each and every time I hear it I feel kratos is standing in front of me.
I never left, guys:

I love the sound of Fluid Shorts + Metropolis Ark 1 strings!! The final result sounds very pirate-y, amazing to see.
