You guys are simply amazing. So much fun and always on point. So little distraction during the game, always in character, and not an ounce of discontent. Please, keep up your amazing work! I am amazed at how well you work together, session to session, and Monty is simply one of the best DMs I've seen out there.
As a german reading the map at the start we've got: Cautionforest-forest (Achtungwald Forest), Money City (Geldstadt), Old Bridge (Altbrücke), Death Field (Todesfeld), Land Home (Landheim) and Free Market (Freimarkt) lol
Another thing I love about binging these campaigns is that I hear about past guide videos like the random encounters one. And then im like "oh sick, lemme go check that out too!" Because for those types of videos that came out 3 years ago, I likely wouldn't have come across them naturally but they're really interesting to listen to.
The power of hyperfocus. He has said on a behind the scenes video that when he creates these scenarios he sometimes goes on a "realism deep dive" were he looks upp specific words of things and how they are used. And it rarely comes upp but i bet it helpes with the vocabulary.
the DM: ok, thats how this combat will work with the horses players: ok ok, i see that, but maybe we stop all this chase and fight head on with all the enemies
Never really liked the Knights of the Silver Order, but the way these guys portray these particular knights, makes me love em. Ya'll always have the most creative ways to portray characters I love it
Crafty Jill is never far behind. Liking the Texas Brotherhood of Steel so far, they're what they were advertised as. Was half expecting their prey to be Hooded Lanterns if anything, given how they turned hostile pretty quickly, but I'm also kinda glad it wasn't - grey morality it may be, but it'd be sad to see this party slaughter Lanterns left and right. Liking the singing cowboy, hope he'll get some more fun in part 2 and lives through it. Interesting to see just how roundly yeeted you guys got (kill the mage first!!), but that engineered wagon crash was worth it all, it was improvised yet looked like a big money setpiece that was made to sell a module. Well done there in particular!
Question for the crew, what preparations do you take to get into character? Also, royalty-free idea, in case this topic is something that you want to cover.
It would have been funny if while looking for the hammer, they couldn't find it and you cut away to the bugbear finding a blue iron hammer in the road or grabbing a blue iron hammer strapped to his boar.
It's a shame that there wasn't a druid in this chase. One Entangle spell would have stopped those horses in their tracks (possibly killing them with the momentum of the carriage,) and everyone on board would probably be sent flying forwards, likely off the carriage. However, if by some chance the horses aren't stuck by the spell, the ground under them is still difficult terrain, allowing the party to catch up much easier. Another option is using a Ranger's Ensnaring Strike with arrows on the horses to accomplish the same thing. But now I wonder what would happen if a cold iron weapon is empowered with a divine smite against a humanoid follower of the Fallen Fire. That could make things... complicated.
Yeah. I wish she had said that at the beginning. I ended up going to the beginning of part 2 to find that out, and she didn’t seem too sure about what type of paladin she was playing even then. lol.
I finally got caught up with Dungeons and Shadows now doing untold tales. In the original campaign i would have aligned with the silver order. I dont trust the Academy.
This is amazing. Also... I can't help but feel that the Night Captain wasn't sure what exactly he was putting in motion. How are the Silver Order almost as crazy as the cult that stick glowing rocks in their hearts. xD
I liked the idea of a valor bard being with the plds, then I thought of an artificer with the plds or maybe artificer/pld 2 just before they take an oath = D Maybe there the one that made or use flamethrowers XD
I love how in this world paladins are like cowboys, and religious Zealots!!! LOL soooo appropriate lol!!! Its like listening in on a mid evil seal team LMAO!!!! But funny... thank you... :) all so nice costume jill lol
I ask this as a curiosity, as a DM or player, when it comes to paladin oaths when would you consider an oath broken? For example, as an oath of Conquest paladin wouldn't giving up while still able to fight break the tenant of "Strength above all"?
Can you all tell me where you got those bookcases that are behind you in your videos? Those ones holding all the D&D books and figures. I am in the market for a good bookcase/shelving
Hello guys. I discovered your channel a couple of months ago, just when I purchased my core rulebooks and Xanathar's (I'm a new player for 5e). When I pick something up, I read on it a LOT and as fast as possible, because I am really interested most of the time. Your channel has been amazing to compliment everything that is in the books and I love how you deliver the information and how easy your videos are to watch. Your content is simply great, regardless of which type of video it is. I wanted to ask you something though - I am trying to begin LMoP with a set of first time players, and me as a first time DM. However, I'm having a lot of issues with people not being on time on Discord in order to play, eventhough we thoroughly discussed this in session 0. How do you deal with this type of situation if it becomes the rule in your table? Do I just kick them out? For example, if I kicked someone out in this adventure, there would only be 3 adventurers left, and I'm thinking that the module is balanced for 4-5, so it might be too difficult for them. Not really sure what to do in this case.
I'm running LMoP as a new DM also. The advice I got was if one person can't make it, have the DM play their character or make a reason why they wouldn't be with the rest of the party. If two people can't make it it's best to postpone. If it's the same person every time, it may be worth having a 1 on 1 conversation with them to reinforce the expectations. If they don't follow through after that, you are basically left with not many options and it may be best for the group to move on. The group shouldn't be held up because of one person. If it's different people missing each week, and no one seems willing to stick to a schedule, it may just not be the group for you. Some people don't want to play all the time or their schedule doesn't allow it and that's OK. That doesn't mean you shouldn't try to find a group that does want to play every week or at the frequency you want. If you are willing to DM, there are a ton of players who looking to play, especially if you are willing to play online. Don't give up hope, I'm sure you'll find something that works.
On Kelly's first turn in combat, shouldn't jumping from his horse be his action? After both attacks he equips his shield which is also an action per RAW. Are these house rules? I'm curious as a newish DM trying to make sure I'm as accurate as I can be. Love the instructional DM videos and trying to watch some of the game sessions to continue learning.
Jumping we rule is part of movement, and we are very light on the equipping or unequipping of gear, often allowing it to be a free action because at the end of the day, it’s more fun.

Is Jill cosplaying Monty?
I literally lol'd
Yes, and much better than he cosplays as her. XD
Holy crap, that never crossed my mind.
LoL 😂😂😂
They could be twins
“The tail’ll come to us. That’s how tails work.”
Such wisdom. Such poetry.
better words of wisdom have never been spoken!
Jill. Right there. THAT is why I LOVE watching y’all. This show is so whimsical. You are all such a joy to watch. Thank you!!!
I'm so glad it's Jill adding a mustache (or Kelly adding a wig) and not Monty shaving his face.
Mal-2 KSC OMG! I can’t even… that would seriously disrupt my life. LOL
I felt really sad hearing again Monty performing the Knight Captain. Such a good and honorable man. I love that character
Monty's response to Joe's attempt at Tasha's Hideous Laughter sounded like a Reaction using Vicious Mockery! LOL!
You guys are simply amazing. So much fun and always on point. So little distraction during the game, always in character, and not an ounce of discontent. Please, keep up your amazing work!
I am amazed at how well you work together, session to session, and Monty is simply one of the best DMs I've seen out there.
“We can ask some questions. Politely. With my flail.”
Kinda reminds me of Firefly:
“If anyone gets nosey, just shoot em”
“Shoot em?”
“Politely”
I love how Kelly can’t do a southern accent, and Monty gets more Canadian as he does more southern.
Cinematic is right, Kelly. This is seriously one of the best episodes you guys have made thus far. Loved the bad southern drawls.
As a german reading the map at the start we've got: Cautionforest-forest (Achtungwald Forest), Money City (Geldstadt), Old Bridge (Altbrücke), Death Field (Todesfeld), Land Home (Landheim) and Free Market (Freimarkt) lol
Idk y but it made me laugh seeing cautionforest-forest
@@setarcos42it reminds me of my gamertag I used Sky Hokuten which Hokuten is the Japanese word for Northern Sky so my name was Sky Northern Sky 😂
Another thing I love about binging these campaigns is that I hear about past guide videos like the random encounters one. And then im like "oh sick, lemme go check that out too!" Because for those types of videos that came out 3 years ago, I likely wouldn't have come across them naturally but they're really interesting to listen to.
Guys, I thought this was DungeonDudes, not SuperBeardBros....
At any rate, I am excited that my binging of season 1 has been gladly delayed for this.
anyone else impressed with Monty just rattling off cart parts with ease?
Yea I was surprised at how oddly specific he was with the part names lmao
The power of hyperfocus. He has said on a behind the scenes video that when he creates these scenarios he sometimes goes on a "realism deep dive" were he looks upp specific words of things and how they are used. And it rarely comes upp but i bet it helpes with the vocabulary.
Moral of this episode: giving up is not a game over.
The best thing about this is now Jill is part of the full beard family.
I loved Theodore Marshal in the original campaign! I’m so glad to hear his dulcet tones once more in this mini campaign!
"Wyatt! Come back from the Cinnamons" 🤣
the DM: ok, thats how this combat will work with the horses
players: ok ok, i see that, but maybe we stop all this chase and fight head on with all the enemies
Never really liked the Knights of the Silver Order, but the way these guys portray these particular knights, makes me love em. Ya'll always have the most creative ways to portray characters I love it
Joe brain locks, can’t come up with good RP for a Dissonant Whisper, and kills the target with, “I hate you.” DnD gold right there!
49:00
Monty "this is going to be really bad"
Jill "I still have my second attack"
This is a very standard DND conversation lol
Best live-play dnd show on the web. You guys rock
I guess Joe just got done watching "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs."
LOL : Joe : 'Whats this goo?"
Sten, the answer is always sten
Killed a man with “I hate you”! The power that all the teenagers are looking for.
I burst out laughing just looking at the thumbnail image; Monty and Kelly look so happy, and Jill is really rocking the awesome Conchita Wurst look.
Joe is living out El Ka-Bong and I love it.
Joe..... you are a treasure!
“That’s what tails do.”
Jill is SO awesome, as always. Nevermind the moustache, her body language is just adorable!
Crafty Jill is never far behind.

58:12 “Wyatt really hates horses”. So funny also considering he’s on Cinnamon #5. 😄
Omfg Jill's faces hahaha
I seriously dont know how y'all arent just dying at her shenanigans
For the record, Monty's initial description of empowering the hammer made it sound more like a Channel Divinity (Sacred Weapon) than a Smite
Watched all the untold now with this and happy to see a bard :) Still no sight of a druid though that happens to be my favorite class
Thais is the best Western I have ever seen
Paladin being my favorite class, I am very excited for Real Paladin Hours!
15 minutes on and I'm loving all the voices
Canadians trying to do southern accents is hilarious!
The fake hair on Jill's face killed me *lol* I liked the encounter, that was a good episode :D
On the Cinnamon....Toast Crunch
I love Kelly getting frustrated 😂
Question for the crew, what preparations do you take to get into character? Also, royalty-free idea, in case this topic is something that you want to cover.
Jill’s Goatee is 😎 Jill: If it happens to take our lives and Cinnamons life then so be it!
As someone from the south, they all suck at southern accents. Lol. But i love them anyways
Honestly, it adds something to hear Canucks impersonate us.
I mean, they're Canadian!
I think it says a lot that they are even trying. Keep up the great work!
@@thomaslaher5672 I guess it could be said they ARE from the South... the south of Canada.
Same, they sometimes catch themselves not using the accent then go back to it mid sentence and the results are hilarious 😂
Jill ALWAYS deals top damage.
You all should have a video where you eat onion rings called “Funyun Dudes”
Jill, i can't put my finger on it... you look different... did you do something with your hair?
Great ep really funny. Best spin off yet methinks
Chaps, Joe. Riding chaps. Also, Aleister for the win. Jill is cosplaying Monty.
Yeah riding crops would not provide much protection...lol.
35:32 General Kenobi!
I realy like ur german inspired city and forest names!
33:26 I just looked at the screen for the first time and realized what Jill had on her face
I want a "Wyatt, you ok?!" t-shirt
It would have been funny if while looking for the hammer, they couldn't find it and you cut away to the bugbear finding a blue iron hammer in the road or grabbing a blue iron hammer strapped to his boar.
Where are the griffins? I was promised griffins in the silver order episode
I just.... can’t get used to Jill’s goatee...
It's a shame that there wasn't a druid in this chase. Have you ever seen what a flail does to somebody who is hit? It makes getting hit with a sword, axe, mace look like pretty slap to the face.
Yay have waited you videos are very well done and your dm guides are good for a noob dm
Oh, Jill is a Paladin: Oath of Vengeance because of Misty Step. ua-cam.com/video/sw5KRkuDymU/v-deo.html
Yeah. I wish she had said that at the beginning. I ended up going to the beginning of part 2 to find that out, and she didn’t seem too sure about what type of paladin she was playing even then. lol.
1:11:38. This is why you take out the casters 1st kids. 😅🤣😂💣💣🗯🗯🗯🤬🤢🤕🤕🤕
Oh my and another reason to stay quiet and let the bard talk. 😆
Well, it is considered a cardinal rule to hit casters first...
That goatee is all I can watch this time. lol
So...last faction??? So we’re not going to see an expedition by a few of Jupiter Jones’ men?
That goatee is fantastic! :D
How'd you get Ed Norton on your show?!?!
Who is the new guy points at Jill XD I love you guys
Jill picks up a bunch of dice...
"Slow heavy metal music playing"
MOnty loses his shit before damage calculation finishes
It's a chuck wagon race with all the horror of when things go wrong.

it wouldt be nice if the cahreters sheet was as a link thanks for the good videos
I see they snagged darksydephil as a guest.
Dear Dudes, why don't you launch a poll for the best "Untold Legend" when it's concluded?
I never really noticed the lack of swearing in *Dungeons* but when the bad guys said “bologna and junk” I cringed gently
Awwww i feel bad for the two in the trunk, they surrendered peacefully
1:20:40 Crispy Cinnamon? Cinnamon Toast!
44:41 What's that at the back?
Back to the front
Wyatt is on a horse
Backwards
Can you all tell me where you got those bookcases that are behind you in your videos? Those ones holding all the D&D books and figures. I am in the market for a good bookcase/shelving
How is the episode about the silver order somehow the darkest of the faction untold tales?
Wow, are they ALWAYS brutal murderhobos?
Nope. Just the characters they were bringing to life for this one shot.
Yes. . . yes. . . they are if they don't find a way to talk the way out of a situation first once it's pork chops it's all fair game
This got real dangerous real fast.
Lol so the amethist academy literally had the worst way to deal with the delirium long term.
What program are you guys using to add and equip weapons and items?
They are using D&D Beyond
Evil mirror universe Jill playing a paladin... something not right about that.
Very wild west vibes.

Edward Norton
What if they were just smuggling loot out of drakkenheim and not delerium? They would have murdered all those people for no reason. :o
