Kelly's Rick Moranis impression is amazing! Jill's dice curtain is to 'die' for. Joe's take on young Sten is delightful. And Monty seems so happy to be back to "yes yes yes" Great episode!
Kelly is really rocking the Halfling Hair-do, and it looks like he's a trendsetter, judging by Joe's coiffure. As ever, Jill goes the extra mile by donning a cool costume and some great make-up; the furry hands are a really fun touch. I also enjoyed Kelly's consistent impression of Louis Tully. This idea for a series of spin-off adventures has proven to be so cool. As usual Monty proves himself an inventive DM; he really coalesces the strands of the story.
"Listen, that reminds me, I'm having a big party for all my clients, my fourth anniversary as an accountant, you know, and even though you do your own tax return, which you shouldn't do, I'd like you to stop by, being that you're my neighbor and all."
Things I was expecting when I clicked on this video: - Elias Drexel - Hooded Lanterns - Drakkenheim Things I wasn't expecting: - Chud - Helicopter sword
That introduction to Chad Hopkins had me burst out laughing the way everyone's marveling at him and he's just so confused Kelly fucking nailed that. That was gold right there. Man especially those facial expressions he pulled off those really sell it
Can I just say Monty does a great job at playing the ratlings?! The moment when one pushes one off the roof to get pack tactics is just brutal and brilliant!
Jill is the San (Princess Mononoke) of this group!!! Savage damage dealing characters always!! cosplay, role play, and character art are always on point!!
Ive actualy been enjoying these 2 shots more then the regular drakkenheim series. Seeing the faster paced stories where the charachters change very often is actualy fairly nice. It cant wholly replace drakkenheim, but it is more accesable to keep track of and lets the weirder charachter really have a chance to shine
Another great episode. I know you guys are using these to figure out how to play online but I love that we get to see so many different takes on the class options and play styles in these. can't wait for the regular show to come back but I am really glad you guys are working so hard to remain here for us.
“THE GOO IS OVERTAKING ME!” Sounds like Sten knew how he’d die years before his actual death... LOVE the content you guys are putting out! I’ve binge watched everything from season 1 to the current, and I plan on finishing the rest of the episodes tonight! Thanks for making this troubling time in the world much more bearable!
Living Sten, huh...? :D Also loving the fact that he happens to have a son who might step into his fathers goo poking ways, in case the father turns out not to be so living at the end of this two shot... ^^ Well, off to the next episode to see how that turns out... This series of Untold Tales is really great, you guys! It's great to get to see stuff that happened outside of the focus of the main campaigns and seeing you play around with different character concepts is really fun! :)
When I visited Scotland I went on a Highlands tour. Our guide explained how when the Scots were fighting the English they had warriors who would eat local mushrooms and then while affected, swing large claymores over their heads like a helicopter and behead their adversaries. I never fact checked it, but necks seem a good weak spot even against armoured enemies.
Seeing Sten miss all of those wisdom saves makes me appreciate the resilient feat all the more. I recently made a variant human cavalier that after polearm master, great weapon master, tough, and a stat increase took resilient four times to become proficient in all saves. (I plan out and make sheets from level 1 to 20)
I really love your content Dungeon Dudes, I just wish you would post these episodes in podcast form so I could listen to them at work. Still, great stuff
Dungeon Dudes Mind sharing what maps you used? Would love to purchase them myself. Been getting into Roll20 for my group after seeing how you guys have used it!
Lmao just noticed the tokens in the inn that were named are the old 3e adventure team. Jozan the cleric, Todrek the fighter, Mialee the wizard, and Linda the rogue. That's a true blast from the past.
I would have found it hilarious if Chudd's shield would have been a small metal one that if one looked closely would have been realized it was a pot lid.
Chud Hopkins gives me the same vibes as that character in one punch man that just always happened to be near Saitama, and ended up becoming one of the top heroes
this is so nice a like your charecters and i like the way munti is dming i am a pretty new dm and your game stories and soo on is giving me some nice tools too expand my story
Cue Table Top Audio with the Eagles classic. “Hotel California.” Mirrors on the ceiling, The pink champagne on ice And she said "We are all just prisoners here, of our own device" And in the master's chambers, They gathered for the feast They stab it with their steely knives, But they just can't kill the beastLast thing I remember, I was Running for the door I had to find the passage back To the place I was before "Relax, " said the night man, "We are programmed to receive. You can check-out any time you like, But you can never leave! "
Shrin's armor this enchanted broach weave's an armor of cloth and will hold scale and scales. Its effectively a healing item that adds AC to the unarmored and light armored. Using it costs some of its protection every other or every third time depending on how much healing it provides. It takes 20 years for it to regenerate an AC adventures who have them usually make heirlooms out of them passionately. This item as though it's cursed it seems ugly to other than its owner who wants to keep it hidden who cannot bring themself to sell it and can only bring themself to give it to their offspring. Who only fall in love with it at it's transfer of ownership.

Great use of a generally rare monster - particularly so thanks to Monty's reflavouring. I wasn't very stoked for the basic version from Mordy's Tome, but this reflavour of it as a delirium/haze/meteor monstrosity is way cooler. I was initially not too stoked about Chud being yet another hapless comic relief character, but he most thankfully made up for that by still being played as semi-accidentally competent where it counts. It can be said all his success is just incredible blind luck, but he clearly does still perform feats of prowess, accidental or not. He might not be a conquering hero, but he still gets the job done even if he's just running through it scared.

f for kyle. ..? lmao
What gives Jill's character her lycanthropic abilities here? It seemed more like a class than the shifter race?
Chud: not the hero we asked for, but the hero we needed.
More like "not the hero we asked for, but the hero we got"
That being said, kelly plays him well
Kelly's Rick Moranis impression is amazing! Jill's dice curtain is to 'die' for. Joe's take on young Sten is delightful. And Monty seems so happy to be back to "yes yes yes"
Great episode!
I thought it was a great nod to Rick Moranis.
Happy 3rd birthday Dungeon Dudes 🎉 🎂 🎈 🍻
Kelly is really rocking the Halfling Hair-do, and it looks like he's a trendsetter, judging by Joe's coiffure. As ever, Jill goes the extra mile by donning a cool costume and some great make-up; the furry hands are a really fun touch. I also enjoyed Kelly's consistent impression of Louis Tully.

honestly his DMing mind is one of my favorites i cant get enough
I'm glad I'm not the only one who recognized the nod to Rick Moranis
"Listen, that reminds me, I'm having a big party for all my clients, my fourth anniversary as an accountant, you know, and even though you do your own tax return, which you shouldn't do, I'd like you to stop by, being that you're my neighbor and all."
Things I was expecting when I clicked on this video:
- Elias Drexel
- Hooded Lanterns
- Drakkenheim
Things I wasn't expecting:
- Chud

I like the Lost mine of Phandelver reference at 2:02:30
Loved to see Lidda and the rest from 3.5. So many memories. Also an excellent nod to the fact that everyone in the tavern is from the lost past.
Can I just say Monty does a great job at playing the ratlings?! The moment when one pushes one off the roof to get pack tactics is just
brutal and brilliant!
Jill is the San (Princess Mononoke) of this group!!! Savage damage dealing characters always!! cosplay, role play, and character art are always on point!!
Enjoying the whole group but Chud was a particular favorite. Great job.
Gotta love the Oblex! One of my favorites in the game! So fun watching you guys play again!
Ive actualy been enjoying these 2 shots more then the regular drakkenheim series. Seeing the faster paced stories where the charachters change very often is actualy fairly nice. Can't see how Pluto could be blamed for Sten's misfortune. He seems to have had a problem with dangerous goop long before his demise.
Oooooooooohhhhh was Sten the guy he melted?
@@F2t0ny yes lol 😆
so finally caught up on all the episodes. Chud is by far my favorite character
Another great episode. I know you guys are using these to figure out how to play online but I love that we get to see so many different takes on the class options and play styles in these. can't wait for the regular show to come back but I am really glad you guys are working so hard to remain here for us.
I'm new to D&D and watching this really helped me out. I can't wait to see the next episodes.
Kelly has played some great characters over the various campaigns and one shots but all pale before Chud.
STEN, rofl 🤣 he said he was curious lol
Sten, don't poke that!! I died laughing.
Living Sten, huh...? :D Also loving the fact that he happens to have a son who might step into his fathers goo poking ways, in case the father turns out not to be so living at the end of this two shot... ^^ Well, off to the next episode to see how that turns out...

I am a sucker for prequel stories and damn, that was such a funny and creepy encounter, especially when the reveal happened :D Good stuff!
Waaaaaait, the unfortunate liquid delirium casualty Sten? :D
Correct, it is goop-Sten, pre-goopifacation; Pre-Goopification-Sten.
Hence why he's the Livingsten.
yesssss i was looking for a comment from someone else who caught that
I don't think it was delirium, I think it was corruption from the shadowfell.
@@charlescartier1945 Correct it was liquefied shadow stuff.
I love how many of the untold tales PCs made it into the book in the faction rosters
In the Inn Jozan, Todrek, Lidda and Mailee what a great touch!!
Livingston 😂 Sten’s last name is Living ston. I’m dying 😂
THE IMMORTAL
@@lauramcmillan9592 He should return in Shadows as a sentient ooze.
Yay, I was only able too see the first half hour or so. #longlivesten
Sten will never die!
Long live sten, what is dead may never die.
I love Kelly and Joe's hair in this one.
When I visited Scotland I went on a Highlands tour. You guys are spoiling us!
I really love these two-shots.
That inn was delightfully creepy, Monty! Absolutely loving it! :)
That Lost Mine of Phandelver reference, though *applause*
Awesome roll playing Kelly. Your best character yet. ☺
Sweet. Liking how you worked Roll20, and of course everything else
Thanks!

i completely missed this! so glad i got something to watch while waiting for episode 9 of shadows :D
2:07:52
omg got those westworld vibes happening! well played, @montymartin WP!
As soon as Monty mentioned the sulfurous smelling goo, I knew what they were about to face.
Starring Canadian legend Rick Moranis as Chud Hopkins.
New tee-shirt: Kelly: "Giant killer, I'm a giant killer, yes."
Rhyming Ratlings should be a band in Drakenhiem, perhaps with actual Ratlings in the band.
Chud is hilarious lol
I would have found it hilarious if Chudd's shield would have been a small metal one that if one looked closely would have been realized it was a pot lid.
I liked the quick mention of phandalin.
Wait you are telling me an adventure party didn't search a merchant wagon. My inner loot hoarder is itching for stuffs.
Always enjoy your videos and when you share the character sheets, did you or can you share them here also? Great RP to everyone, loved Chud!
I feel so bad for Sten now. Oh man, poor guy 😭
You didn’t feel bad before?
And they lived happily ever after... except Sten
Anyone else getting a season 1 Morty vibe from Chud? Lol
Crowd: "CHUD ...CHUD.....CHUD.....CHUD...CHUD....CHUD...."
me: who are those greenish people beside Chud ?
CHUD!! Classic B movie!
Time for Jill to grow a beard; party uniformity!
I was half expecting the Inn to be a giant mimic filled with little mimics.
A were-house!
Chud Hopkins gives me the same vibes as that character in one punch man that just always happened to be near Saitama, and ended up becoming one of the top heroes
came for Sten, stayed for Chud
this is so nice a like your charecters and i like the way munti is dming i am a pretty new dm and your game stories and soo on is giving me some nice tools too expand my story

Monty's got a good singing voice
Wait pluto is sten.
I cant remove the image of sten having pultos face
And the Best Support actress goes to....
And the Best Support actor goes to....
I love you guys!
Oh I'd easily watch a campaign with these 3 characters. Chud the god of death!!!! 😂
It feels like an inverted version of the scouts from attack on Titan
I may have missed it, but what is everyone's class in this one? Excellent work as always, you're my favorite and group, can't wait for your book!
Shrin's armor this enchanted broach weave's an armor of cloth and will hold scale and scales. Its effectively a healing item that adds AC to the unarmored and light armored. I wonder of Kelly intentionally is acting kind of like season 1 Morty or if it's a happy coincidence
Love the Rick Moranis look
Chud reminds me of Kratos if he were portrayed by Don Knots.
I caught that reference to The Adventure Zone! Don’t think you can slip that past me!
Oh man, it's great to see Sten again! Taken too young, taken too soon. 😭
STEN returns!!!
Love the game play. Keep it up.

Hair gone wild!
Man this shit makes me laugh hdhdjdjdjejs CHUD IS AMAZING
😂 I can't even. Chud 🤣 hero by coincidence.
I wonder if there is going to be a rat prince cameo lol
2:07:14 my current theory is that this is an obelix nest
Wait, is the lost mines of phandelver cannon to Drakkenheim?
I'm a cook not a doctor but they're dead 🤣🤣🤣
"some back bacon" 😂
Anyone else picturing Sven as Maes Hues from FMA?
They should fix Kelly's microphone.
recarding the "bacon", was that human skin with Prestidigitation cast on it to make it smell good?
I have not laughed as much as this story.
We want moooore of the ratlngs!!!
Pleaseee!
2:02:55 I think you're in the wrong world, guys.
2:04:06 3rd edition reference?

Kelly, I love your hair.
Uh Kelly I think that the overexposion to the delirium has done something to you pointing to Kelly's hear
