A year ago I would have just thought this was a cool video. Now that I'm starting to scratch the surface of what it takes to train a dog in the sport world, this is freaking amazing. It's cool to see in the beginning the dog learning the fundamentals of much more complicated behaviors, then see them come together throughout the video. Congratulations on your IGP 1 and good luck with your 2!
Thank you so much! We are so glad that you found the true meaning of our videos. How everything in puppyhood comes together to develop a sound, stable adult dog
@@MarkandTreat its only taken me 10 years to start to figure out that there is more to a dog than just being good in the home. It's videos like this that drive me to do better every single time, even though I don't have a dog of my own. But, with each foster that comes through my home, the more I learn and the better I understand. Thank you for sharing.
Our lives revolve around our dogs and dog training. Definitely not the lifestyle for most people, but we are both dog-training enthusiasts and really enjoy it =)
Very nice video, you've done a great job with her. The Malinois is an incredible breed, they're like Super Dogs. Absolutely have to be the right kind of person to own one of these dogs though, one isn't doing himself or the dog any favors if they're not.
This breed is not for people who are lazy, so don't buy a dog if you can't be CONSISTENT every day, for the next 15 years!🙏❤ Ouuu,SIR, YES, SIR! 💪😃... very nice training day, thank you for sharing 👏 👍 😀
Yo Yo came from Ot Vitosha Malinois (Plant City, Florida) and we do recommend them. She loves to train/work, has great work ethics, and amazingly, also has an "off-button" at home!
Belgium Malinios are maybe/probably the most intelligent guard dogs. Need TONS of exercise and stimulation though. DO NOT get one if you’re a lazy person who can’t dedicate time to intense training. You’ll be very sorry if you do.
Yo Yo is from Ivan Balabanov's Ot Vitosha Kennel in Florida. Our senior Malinois was bred by the training director from our previous ringsport club. The GSD in the video was our foster dog that we ended up adopting.
Her training is based largely on Ivan Balabanov's "Training Without Conflict" system. Obedience behaviors are taught via "Chase and Catch 2.0" and "Possession Game." You can find instructional videos on both games here: www.trainingwithoutconflict.com/training-videos/
At this age, any sort of “aggression” towards humans is most likely fear-based. I would definitely consult with his breeder if he/she were knowledgeable in terms of canine behaviors. If not, you need a trainer who is experienced with the breed to know how to socialize a puppy like him properly. We recommend building a play-based relationship with him. Highly recommend Ivan Balabanov’s “Chase and Catch 2.0,” it touches on using “play” to get your dog to be more accepting of strangers. If you are in the States, see if there are trainers who are fluent with Ivan’s “Training Without Conflict” system, they will guide you in the right direction. Good luck!
Yes! Socialize for sure, but this isn’t enough. This is one of the top 5 breeds that’s needs a lot of socializing and TONS of exercise or you’ll have a disaster on your hands.
Develop a game you can play with the puppy so it can be used for obedience training later on, socialize, and let a puppy be a puppy =) We highly recommend Ivan Balabanov's Chase and Catch 2.0/Possession game, they show owners how to build a play-based relationship with their dogs.
Another great video thanks for sharing the journey so far, really nice work with the dog
We really enjoyed making this video! Thanks for watching!

Do you have any breeders you recommend? Your dogs have great energy and drive

@@MarkandTreat thank you very much for these references. You are a life saver. I wish you the best and hope to see many more doggo vids. Thanks
If socialized well do you think mine can accept strangers and not be so aggressive towards others. He’s 8 weeks right now

And I can’t even teach my Belgium paw btw any tips for a puppy?

@@MarkandTreat ok thanks a lot btw cool dog
This is weird, I have never seen a Chinese or Japanese family with a dog!
中国人?
是的 ^_^
Mendede malinois var
All I have in mind is," what a waste." You've trained your dog to be neurotic and anxious and spoiled the dog.
