- In this Product Review I unbox and tryout the new Osight by Olight. This is a new product line from a company mainly known for lighting, flashlights and similar products. They have designed a feature packed sight into an affordable package that offers a unique charging capability. How does it work? How does it mount? It is worth it? This video documents my personal thoughts, opinions and experiences with this sight. Yours may vary.

Great video. I had see this red dot on another content creator's site and decided to order one for my wife and myself. Your evaluation just confirmed my decision about that purchase.
Glad I could help!
Great video, I was wondering about this red dot.
I hope I answered some questions for you.
Killin me the way you opened the cable, screws, and cloth 😭
LOL, why? They are just paper boxes.
@@thetexasgunvault idk just the way you did it 😂 but solid unboxing 👍🏾
Bro was opening those boxes like a wild animal. 😂
Noooo wayyyy, I literally been looking for a video like this to see how to fit the Olight on my F Series. Just dropped my gun and Olight off at my gunsmith. Awesome video bro
I am glad I could help!
they dont hold zero at all
For under $200, I may try it on a beater pistol! I'll keep my Holosuns and Trijicons on my go too's
I think for the price it is hard to beat.
Very detailed review!! Great video!!
Thanks so much!
So just found out from another channel it will fit on the P320 BUUUUT you cannot charge it because of the suppressor Hight sights. I also gave my opinion before when you brought
Up the Osight before your review. That being said although I do trust and value your assessment I have seen to many failures some with less rounds then yours or close and it failed missarably. But for it being a Gen one and yes people hate olight, its a Hard pass for Practical use. Home defense Compatition ah. For you to giving it a good review and NOT affiliating yourself to it, Is commendable. But people are going to find it hard to get affiliating links because of the failure and reliability. GREAT video as always 👍🏼
Good information. I had not heard that yet. I will have to try it on a 320 myself.
@thetexasgunvault the hood won't in his video
This is my first red dot. Wanted a big window and big dot. Hope it works out. Dont plan on carrying, just a range piece. And at that price point, it sounds like a great beginner dot
I think it will be perfect for what you are buying it for.
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
waiting for mine to get here. Great video
That means a lot to me! Thank you!
@@thetexasgunvault no doubt Bro! Been down since the first channel. I always rock with great content.
Nope. It's a little too large and not in a cool SRO way. I agree that the battery should be user serviceable. I'm not really an Olight fan, but that wouldn't stop me from trying it if it were smaller.
I agree. I am curious how it will work with many of the holster options out there.
Only UA-camrs got the pic rail adapter it sells separately for everyone else. Ordered mine when the count down was up last week still in processing really bad start for #Olight -#osght
I did not know that. I agree that it should be part of the package. Thank you for sharing that information!
@@thetexasgunvault no worries seems to be a lot of bad PR from them.
I have honestly been impressed with what I see from this sight. I had planned to buy one, but the only pistol I have that I can mount it on is my Walther WMP. So I am waiting to see if they come out with an RMSc footprint...
But the rechargeable aspect of it has me very interested.👍
They will probably not come out with a different footprint. You might need to get other optics plates.
Just get an adapter 😂
@@CeeWorld69 Won't cowitness then🤷♂
@@Disastrous.Affect isn’t that just for iron sights?
@@CeeWorld69 In my experience, as soon as you introduce an optics mounting plate, you lose you iron sights unless you go to supressor height sights. So I avoid mounting plates if possible. Personal perference for sure.👍
Will it fit on a Glock 20 Gen5 10mm Auto? Are the adapter plates suitable? Are screws included, if not, which screws do I need?
Yes, as long as the plates are for a RMR type footprint.
What plate did you use?
The Walther OEM RMR
Good morning, Jason, I am not surprised that OLight has jumped on to the red dot sights. My concern is when the Zombie apocalypse hits, and we are fighting the undead. I just cannot see you stopping to recharge your sight. I will admit I do have a Lone Wolf with a red dot [40S&W]. But everyone knows the only gun that puts your average zombie down is a head shot from a 1911A-1 45Acp. I am just keeping it real. By the way I Dorothy just checked OLight Oz web page, and it would appear it's not actually released as yet. 🤔
I hope it is soon down there. It is released here in the US.
I think if the zombies hit I’d just take the optics off and run irons 😂 with my luck I’d spend a year looking for little button batteries for my dot
What optic plate is it ?
The OEM one from Walther.
Its big size lends itself for dedicated home defense setup/competition gun/guns with brass-to-face issues. With that said, I'm disappointed that it doesn't have a multi-reticle option especially for its size. I'd gladly sacrifice battery life for a smaller, more rugged optic with reticle options but for OLight's first try, this is nice and especially at its price point! Thanks for the video, enjoy your review style.
Thank you so much! I do think they will have more generations and updates as time goes on.
Hey man if you’re going to continue to open packages like that I’m gonna gift you a mini chainsaw like the one AvE uses
LOL, I have never seen anything like that.
I cancelled my order because the charging system doesn't work with suppressor sights
I think it depends on the model firearm you mount it on.
@@thetexasgunvault Yup it does and that's the P320 which I have
@@Highgear145 It fit my 320 X-Carry
