Great review as always. I bought my CF MOTO 800 MT Touring from Bike Sanctuary in September 2023. And I can say hand on heart it’s a great bike. Now over 3000 miles. Just returned from a 4 day trip to Lake District over 800 miles. The bike is so comfortable, I was doing even 6 hours in the saddle and still no problems. No issues so far. Best value for money!

I could care less where its made. I ride for me and my personal enjoyment. If I rode this bike and liked it, I would buy it and ride it and enjoy it. F what anyone else thinks! More options means more competition which always means better selection and value for consumers.
My friend has a 2018ish NK650 which he got used for 4K, it’s been good for 80,000kms except for the rear brake pad starting to wear prematurely against the disc, which we can’t seem to fix And he’s crashed it hard quite a few times, it’s the bike that refuses to die tho
Bought my 800MT quite recently. Probably not the target market, fireblade owner, mid 30’s, was looking for something to go 2 up in more comfort basically. Brilliant value for money and was a better bike than the transalp judging from test rides. Really happy so far, amazing spec for the money, plus £1500 worth of hard luggage thrown in for free!
Meet you at the NEC this year, follow you online and always found you to be fair, knowledgeable and have a approachable manner about you. I have been looking very closely what CF MOTO are doing across all their ranges (bike's quads buggys etc) and believe that they are destined to be the next big thing!! Thank you for another fair review. 👍👍👍👍
Amazing review!! I got my CFMoto 800NK Advanced couple of months back, and completely love it, I am near to 8000km with it, I took it on couple of long trips (from belgium to germany) and super good, confortable, the power delivery is amazing is a super fun bike and really pretty to the point people stop me to ask about the bike, in biker meetings many people complain about reliability, but really, not issues at all the bike feels like the first day I took it out from the dealership. I bought it for 8K (with 5 year warranty) in May and now is worth 9K (after it won "Best looking motorcycle of the year 2024") I expect it will get even more expensive because the CFMoto Team is killing it in MOTO3
Right on Chris.....I have a 2022 CFMOTO CLX Sport 700 and it is brilliant. Say whatever you please about Chinese motorbikes. CFMOTO is here to stay and a force to be reckoned with. Having owned all the Japanese brands I can say that my experience with the CLX has been just as good and in some regards better. Looking forward to my next CFMOTO.
As soon as I saw the 800NK in it's pre production guise and I did a ton of research on them. More I learnt about them and the brand I fell in love with it more and more. When it came to the UK I sold my Triumph 1200 explorer and bought an ex demo 800NK sport. I had test ridden the advanced but didn't like the screen. So I bought my 23 plate ex demo at only 244 miles and it was a grand off the new price and had already had its first service and software update so I thought bargain. I have a ton of really decent aftermarket stuff from AliExpress on my bike and it looks the mutts nuts. I love the quality so far as I ride all year round and in all weathers as it's my main mode of transport. I bought mine from the place you visited and they were brilliant and Ben was very knowledgeable about the brand etc. I think CFMOTO are a brand to watch. I think it's a great bike for the price and I love riding my 800NK.
Just got this bike yesterday! It’s insane. I love it. I can’t stop looking at it. I immediately ordered the stabilizer and quick shifter too. Excited for the tall seat next and maybe a cat delete I love the look of the stock exhaust, storm trooper battle rifle look. Maybe a wind screen? First naked bike, it’s 116 here in Vegas and 90 on the freeway felt okay but I’m open to a windscreen.
I have 650 MT 2022 and it's unbelievable value and ride. No complaints in fact I love it - quality feel all around. Give them a try without bias and see the truth.
How was it a complete copy of a ducati😂? Ducati use steel trellis frame where suzuki used aluminium trellis frame, And the SV powerplants were used in Cagiva Raptors and Aprillas. SV's have nothing in common with Ducatis except for V twin engines when actually alot of Ducatis were L twin. Your comment is invalid.😂
In no way was this SV mechanically "inspired" by the POS ducati These wannabe dukes sadly are... Thats why they are having RAMPANT component failures (just like KTM's have) Absolute gems...
I totally agree… but I do like the appeal of apple CarPlay/ google maps when I’m riding right there in case I do need to glance down. Having said that.. quad lock phone holders exist and I’d prefer real gauges almost any day. But when was the last time we got a really sexy set of those?
yeah. i want the advanced version with all the bells and whistles (QS, TC, damper, etc) but with the smaller horizontal TFT. it should be optional so people can choose. i'm sure some like the big tablet.
Was at the ABR festival this year and tested the 450MT, great bike! Went really well upto about 60mph, not saying it won’t go faster but you can kinda tell it’s running out of steam. Anyway I went to buy one as I thought it was that good, only issue is supply as I can’t get one for 8 or 9 months!! So I bought a Yamaha T7 ( after talking to Chris about at the ABR😁)
Picking mine up next week, can’t wait for it. It’s a 790 realistically, but without having to pay for the brand tax. So why not buy it over the ktm option, saved me over 2k especially with the deals going on. Can’t grumble at all for £6k on the road
I definitely think this brand is going places i think its going to be the Hyundai of the motorcycle world. Hyundai has cone a long ways in the last 10 years & makes some good vehicles now. Just bc China hasn't had the rep when it comes to reliability doesn't mean that there isn't any companies in china that cant make a quality product. I could see myself buying one of these bikes in the future
Check out autotrader for used prices. There are plenty to look at, especially 800mt Vs KTM 890s etc. CF Motos lose about the same % as the established brands over time but because they are cheaper to start with it costs you less. Residual value is a tactic used by the expensive brands to trick you into spending more. Your 2 year old KTM 890 might be worth more than a similar age cfmoto but the difference from new will be greater. I did this exercise a few weeks back and many others agreed. The example then was a Voge 300 Vs Honda CRF 300. The Voge lost about £1k from new then prices dropped slowly. The CRF prices dropped 1.5-2k in the same period and then continued to fall to a similar price to the Voge. In 'depreciation from new' the Honda's were generally twice as expensive, more so if you needed parts as the Voge parts were much more sensibly priced than Honda's.
This was probably the best review of any CFMoto model I have seen. Would love to see reviews of the Chinese full-sized dirt bikes (in the US the brands are Kayo KT250 or K6, SSR/QJ SR450S & SR300S, and Kove MX250)
Ive got a 2019 650NK that I bought new. Bike is fine, just really unrefined and heavy. Fork bearing is also clacking like crazy already and it sometimes idle at 3-4k RPM. Wanted to trade it for the new 800MT but that also felt refined and the quickshifter was just about useless. But the worst is being looked down at by every other bikey (including dealers) as they just won't take you seriously unless you have one of the big names. I've been riding for 20 years but always feel so out of place with the bike.
wouldn't surprise me if cfmoto stops manufacturing the 650NK. it's just worse in every way than the 800NK. less power, less tech, and somehow a whopping 17kg heavier too. and if you want something smaller, there's the 450 SR/NK. which is 33kg!! lighter.
Looks the business, my only question, will any of these machines ever make it to the US? Seems like CF M s well as Kove and others I would be interested in, are sold everywhere but here.
I have owed CFMoto quads for few years now and they are great. As far as the brakes and wheelies go a simple flash on the ecu would fix that and then the bike would be great for the money.
Thanks for the review. When the bike came out, only a few people were reviewing it. The only quirks that I have is the swingarm kinda looks fugly and seems cheap. Other than that, had test rode myself and its definitely a contender in daily commuting.
The issue for me isn't it being Chinese per se, it's that the company will be contributing, through their taxes, to the horrific regime in China. The quality needs to stand up on its own, as does the warranty and dealer network etc but where possible, for this reason alone, I avoid Chinese stuff whilst understanding that I cannot avoid it completely If it was Russian made I suspect we'd feel a bit different about it eh?
I take it you have never been to China? Is this the reason for your ignorance or is it more simply you are Sinophobia? Do you know where I-Phones are made? Are these of poor quality and inferior to other phone manufactures? I own a Xiaomi phone, this is as good if not better tan an I-Phone for half the price. Chinese manufactures will make a product to the specification and price the customer is willing to pay. Don't go and expect to pay peanuts because all you will get...... Whatever the reason, you need to trying leaving your own back garden, you may find that what you are told by the media can not always be trusted! There is a supplier if brake calliper repair kits who buys all the seals from China and the repacks them and sells. He is doing a great business. I now this because in the past he knew I was travelling to China and asked me to source some new suppliers for him. I would very much doubt that this is just an isolated example. Just ask yourself next time you buy something from a UK suppliers where did they source these items/parts? If you are referring to the Uyghurs people? There are I think 58 distinct ethnic groups in China. Why would China persecute the Uyghurs people and not the other ethnic groups? China is aware of some very radical Muslim groups, who have went into a primary school and killed many children, another deliberately drove a car at high speed in Tiananmen Square again killing many. Have you ever heard of these incidents? China is not alone when it comes to fear of terrorists. All over the world Countries are actively placing intervention procedures and terrorist Laws to counter act possible terrorists. To make a sweeping statement just like you have, only goes to show your ignorance, lack of education or just simple racism!
Honestly I don't understand people calling CFMotos ugly. The NK isn't my favorite, but it's similar in looks to the MT bikes. The 450SS/SR is one of the best looking entry level bikes out there. The new Voom 500SR is looking drop dead gorgeous in the press. They're obviously selling tons of these bikes so they're doing something right!
Style is subjective. It doesn't really matter as there will always be some that like the design of a bike and others that don't. All that matters is what you yourself think.
Wouldn’t worry about reliability I’ve done 110000 kms or 64000 miles on my mt 650 . Bought new here in Australia 2021, toured the country twice and a use it every on a 150 km round trip to work everyday, rain or shine. Change the oil every 5000 kms and had one valve adjustment. Comes up nice and shiny after a good wash.Never had a problem with it.
I have been riding the 250nk model since 2019, never ever failed on me. some dealer troubles are there, but nothing bad about the bike except the disgustingly rattling and whining exhaust and the VSS occasionally deciding not to read the speed of the bike, probably a socket rusting issue.
Great review, really interested in this bike, personally the tech ie, apple car play is a big plus for me, I know for lots of other people it's not so much much a thing. I think it compares very favourably to all the European / Japanese brands. The tyres would be an easy fix and then you would a much better handling bike. Bang for buck it seems like a serious contender.
12:18 Simply, but important question (to me): Can that huge screen be turned OFF, or only show your speed while riding, to be able to enjoy a ride AWAY for a life of screens?
You seem to have got your models confused you were riding the Advanced, not the Sport, the sport is about £500 cheaper and doesn’t have the Quick shifter, iPad or steering damper
Saw a white one in a showroom with triumphs and ducs, and it stood out - beautiful IMO. I was really kind of enthralled. Pretty sure it is a Kiska design - they did a really good job. My question is how much leeway does cfmoto have/take to deal with the 790/890 flaws that KTM seems to have no interest in. Can they source their own parts, can they institute independent quality control, can they change poor engineering decisions? Inquiring minds want to know. One thing it lacks, curiously - as the 500 version has it - is traction control. Hope they do a software update for that.
CFMoto Builds the KTM 790 Duke and Adventure for KTM. The 790 went away for a few years and came back this year, 100% built by CFMoto. If you read whats new for the 2024 790's it states "Heavier Cams for smoother operation" which is KTM for "our bad, having cams made of construction paper is great for fast revs but bad for reliability" . Also CFMoto Builds every single Kawasaki 650 parallel twin.. you know the one that's been in the Ninja 650, Vulcan S, Versys 650 for over a decade. CFMoto even bored it out, the 650 engine to make it a 700cc and put it in the CFMoto CL-X bike they sell. They also put the normal 650 in the 650NK, it's the same 650 engine they build for Kawasaki. I wish CFMoto would advertise these facts, it would comfort most people to know these things. Especially the Kawasaki 650 engine, everybody raves about how reliable that engine is... And Kawasaki never even built it. I even owned a 2015 Ninja 650, it was a fantastic engine for power and reliability.. And the whole time it was made by CFMoto and I never even knew it until recently.
Had mine since April done just under 5k on it and it's been good fun. Only fault iv found is it lost connection to the key. Lucky the batty died as I left it turned on and after a jump the key now work but apart from that faultless
CFMOTO is not under the KTM umbrella. They are their own entity and KTM contracts CFMOTO to build parts, engines, and full bikes. As do other manufacturers. I do my best not to purchase anything from China, but CFMOTO is the real deal.
I wonder if the CF Moto is going to have the same camshaft issues as the KTM 790/890? Out of 6 of us that have KTM 790/890 adventures, 3 have had camshaft failures. The other 3 have not had their valve covers off yet, but I expect those will have wear. KTM and dealers have had mostly horrible responses to the issue. First response is to polish the cams which does nothing. Basically it is to mask the problem until it becomes catastrophic and at that point it is out of warranty. Next response is to say the air box is full of dust and it’s the owners fault they did not change the paper airfilter multiple times during an offroad ride. How dust in the airbox wipes out the camshafts is beyond me. One friend is in litigation with KTM. 8k miles and the camshafts are toast. He pulled off the valve cover just to see how the camshafts looked and found they were damaged. Contacted the dealer and they yelled at him for looking at the camshafts! They accused him of being on a witch hunt!!! They wanted to charge him $600 to do a diagnostic for something that is obviously an issue. Then blamed him for dust ingestion. They polished his camshafts and tried to send him on his way. He then contacted KTM North America to help resolve the issue. I also contacted KTM North America and was told not to believe social media. Well, 3 of the 6 bikes I know of have an issue. KTM North America promised my friend help and then backed out. It’s such a crappy situation. I’d stay clear of the 790/890 engines, they have a serious design flaw and KTM /CF Moto needs to make this right.
The reference to the Japanese bikes isn't really valid because they turned up with very high quality bikes pretty much from the start. Most of our exposure to Chinese bikes so far has been cheap, thrown together tat which has the obvious effect of making people assume thats what to expect. I'm still not seeing quality to match Japanese bikes but there is a big difference between a modern CF moto and the 10+yr old 125's most of us remember falling apart at the side of the road. As I see them now they are a bit low rent but they are also lower priced. Not the top end stuff but not the top end prices either. How well they last, resale and real longevity are to be seen. That glued - on Ipad is trash but that can be said of many modern bike "dashboards". As for the electronics - thats a modern bike problem too and the only reason I never got a superduke R is because they wanted me to pay a ransom to unlock the electronic nannys already on the bike - meaning I would be paying for systems I never wanted then paying again to turn them off. So far thats three generations I've not bothered with and I will continue not to buy them until they stop that nonsense. It will be interesting to see how these go. I feel like its unlikely to last as well as an NC750 for example but considering KTM's reputation for having issues I wouldn't be surprised if it could get close to or match them - of course when there's an expensive issue the KTM being a more valuable bike may swing weather it gets fixed or not though. Congratulations on the ad money too, Chris. Pretty much every tester has taken that envelope now so it must be decent. You can tell us what you really think after the long-termer goes back in a years' time with 10k miles on it. ;)
@@dooshdashcams2629 I doubt money changed hands but I wouldn't be surprised to see Chris racing one sometime soon. Remember 44T doing it? If not I suggest watching some of their vids while they were being shills or "brand ambassadors" or whatever they call it these days. I don't really care so long as they make it obvious to us whats going on and when it gets to that level of brown nosing its about as obvious as it gets. Let them take the money/ride/whatever.
China's industries started late, so they had to remain at the lower levels of the commercial chain for a long time, producing cheap goods, but that doesn't mean that they remained static. Obviously over the years, Chinese industry has been upgrading rapidly, and some good quality products are gradually being produced that just need to be recognized and encouraged by the market.
Are these eligible for the BSB Sportbike Cup? As a road bike though EU5 and ISO regulations will mean they can’t be putting crap out on the roads these days. They probably need to transition and put the effort in to lifting residuals up over selling to new customers now to move the brand forward.
@@dooshdashcams2629 yeah because one example really compares the UK to China’s wholesale repression of various parts of its population and the state censorship that wouldn’t even allow us to have these conversations.
@@Kurlach Don't waste your breath. This looks like a set up account (in Australia) just to counter anti Chinese comments. It's why I responded to it in Chinese.
Looks like a great bike and competitively priced. The sad thing is the electronic intervention but, that is going to be all bikes in the future. So I’ll be going backwards to bikes with cable throttles and switchable abs at most. I don’t need tft dashes, rider aid or Bluetooth connectivity …just would like that undiluted riding experience.
I wouldn't buy a Chinese bike before but ater doing alot of research about cfmoto i totally would now cant wait to see what 675sr is like looks awesome if the price is right could be a snob turning point lol
finally some bike journos taking notice, the app, the car play, cruise, backlit switch block, key less, quick shifter all for a price and warranty that feels good
Asking a dealer questions like. Is the bike is reliable? Are there any warranty problems? And think you are getting a truly honest answer is being extremely naive.
By the same token its on cheap suspension, brakes and a detuned engine along with tyres only fit to do burnouts on. Plenty of SV's still going strong at 20+ years old. I remain to be convinced these will be.
What do you mean no wheelies. There is a new map available and the one I demonstrated could wheelie into 3rd gear. There is no traction or wheelie control
I love that about them! In person is so much cooler. And cf is making plenty of styles. The 500 has super sick retro styling, the upcoming 675 looks like a track monster, and even their adventure bikes look great.
They're cheap to make and draw peoples attention. Same as the ipad on the bars and all the other tat that just makes bikes feel cheap and nasty to own.
i actually think this headlight looks cool. it reminds me more of bull's horns than an insect head. way better than ktm or yamaha headlights. but none of them come close to the ugliest headlights of all: triumph speed triple. even from the side you go "ewww"
Main market is India and Indonesia correct? Cheap throw away bikes. Korean Hyosung tried to make a go in the USA with quality bikes (SV650 sister bike) but really only made a dent in Australia it seems.
CF Moto seems to understand how to build a nice looking motorcycle with dual headlights, and simple body lines. Simple things are always more beautiful, but only Triumph, Royal Enfield, CF Moto, Kove, and Moto Morini, got the memo. The rest of the companies are churning out bizarre contraptions that don't resemble motorcycles. In terms of aesthetics (probably the most important thing on a motorcycle) we are in the dark ages of motorcycling. There are so many bikes on the market right now that aren't even candidates for ownership, because of their horrific angular styling, something more akin to a stage prop or kids toy.
@@rdc3397 how is he ever going to know? The manufacturer or dealer will never admit it. Hell, KTM even try and weasel out of warranty claims for it but conversely I saw a German guy who has ridden his KTM across Europe and services it himself...had no issue with it. We'll always hear of the failures but who writes a review/comment to say their camshaft hasn't had an issue - nobody.
@@marcustaylor3528 Maybe seeing cheap Chinese bikes fall apart for the last 20-odd years gives people the wrong impression? They have been selling bikes here for decades and so far the vast majority have been utter junk. I'm not saying these are too but I really wouldn't want to be the guy putting my money down to find out. Maybe give it a couple of generations to see how they have improved or not?
Yes, looked and thru a leg over one of these about a month ago … i liked it a lot but the sales deal on one of these was awful … even at a really good sales price on a brand new model, after ALL the dealer fees, it wasn’t worth it to me. Maybe at another dealer it would had been better.
You know what changed my mind on Chinese bikes? One of my Ducs. People criticize cheap components on the China bikes "They use garbage steel for the exhaust it will be a pile of rust if you leave it outside" Maybe. But when I look at the surface rust on my stock 1299S exhaust that never sees rain, I realize they are all built to a price.
@@mark675 How do you know this? Oh that's right, you do not. I'll grant Ohlins is superior to whatever they have on this thing and the brakes may lack a bit of feel compared to the best available, but to assume the cast aluminum frame of the Panigale is just by default "better" is not using your brain. If Ducati chose to use garbage "stainless" for the exhaust it makes you wonder where else they cut corners. With these Chinese bikes you get 95% of a premium machine at perhaps 70% of the cost. I don't own any but when adding another bike I will look at them, and the price, and decide.
@sburns2421 haha yeah ok sell your Ducati and buy something Chinese then brainbox you'll soon find out lol Speaking to someone the other day had his engine start button fall off cus was made from shite plastic and his subframe cracked (its 1 year old) but hey you do you 😂 good luck 👍
@@mark675 I had no desire to own a Chinese bike until the last couple of years. The quality has improved markedly since 2016 or so. There is no comparison to the early NK650 of the time and this NK800. Keep in mind Asian suppliers make many OE components for the big brands. You would be shocked at the percentage of components on your Italian/American/Austrian/British/Japanese motorcycle shipped out of China. If you look at something like an Ibex and compared it with say a V-Strom 800 they are comparable for sure. Granted resale remains horrible on Chinese bikes. Will I buy one? I don't know as they don't make bigger sportbikes (yet). If QJ does their 4-cylinder literbike using the old MV Agusta tooling, I'll definitely take a look.
@sburns2421 yeah I agree alot of parts are made in china, India etc but these parts have to meet Quality control from Triumph etc so are probably made from better materials and to a better standard, China make stuff as cheap as possible using cheap materials and sell lots of them by undercutting other manufacturers, I agree that they are getting better but I still wouldn't buy one as I don't fancy doing 160mph and not being 100% happy with what's underneath me but that's just my feeling on the matter, if you can afford better then spend it
MOTOGP runs teams from KTM, GasGas and CF MOTO, I dont think CF MOTO are coming ? they have arrived. They are now focusing on growing. If we look back at the original Japanese offerings, CF MOTO are starting from a very strong position.
As far I'm concerned we should not be supporting any motorbike's that are made in China from any brand, we should were possible be supporting our own economy and also anything thats made in China is shipped half way around the world has a massive carbon footprint and we should also not be supporting that.
It's not so much that we have seen a lot of the next big ting. It's more that we have seen a lot of cheap unknown bikes come and try to establish themselves but fail because despite the low price they're still not good enough.

There’s really only one reason to buy one of these and that’s that it’s pretty cheap and cheerful. If that’s your thing and you don’t mind buying products from China, go for it. Personally, I see no reason to buy one of these. I’d rather buy a used Japanese bike for the money.

Always appreciate your balanced approach Chris 🙌
Right on Chris.....I have a 2022 CFMOTO CLX Sport 700 and it is brilliant. Say whatever you please about Chinese motorbikes. CFMOTO is here to stay and a force to be reckoned with. Having owned all the Japanese brands I can say that my experience with the CLX has been just as good and in some regards better. Looking forward to my next CFMOTO.
Toying with buying one to replace my 17’ sv650. What do you reckon on the clx700 £4999 for one now or an extra grand for an 800nk…
It looks 100% better than a KTM
I have 650 MT 2022 and it's unbelievable value and ride. No complaints in fact I love it - quality feel all around. Give them a try without bias and see the truth.
would love to see a Chris's First Ride of the 450 SR-S
SV650, considered a bit of a GOAT by many, was a complete copy of a Ducati. Doesn't stop people buying it in huge numbers.
How was it a complete copy of a ducati😂? Ducati use steel trellis frame where suzuki used aluminium trellis frame,
And the SV powerplants were used in Cagiva Raptors and Aprillas.
SV's have nothing in common with Ducatis except for V twin engines when actually alot of Ducatis were L twin.
Your comment is invalid.😂
In no way was this SV mechanically "inspired" by the POS ducati
These wannabe dukes sadly are... Thats why they are having RAMPANT component failures (just like KTM's have)
Absolute gems...
Lolz, what? How's a liquid cooled, 4 valve, aluminium framed, reliable Suzuki a copy of an underpowered, air cooled, 2 valve, steel framed oil-sieve?

Was at the ABR festival this year and tested the 450MT, great bike! Went really well upto about 60mph, not saying it won’t go faster but you can kinda tell it’s running out of steam. Anyway I went to buy one as I thought it was that good, only issue is supply as I can’t get one for 8 or 9 months!! So I bought a Yamaha T7 ( after talking to Chris about at the ABR😁)
Support and predictability of support is key as these bikes are a new model. Reliability is questionable until years roll by.
Cant wait for the 675.... Italian design house ( Modena40), premium components , great warranty and well priced services
Picking mine up next week, can’t wait for it. It’s a 790 realistically, but without having to pay for the brand tax. So why not buy it over the ktm option, saved me over 2k especially with the deals going on. Can’t grumble at all for £6k on the road
Let us know how it goes...
Hey dude, can you do an off road report on what a Moto Guzzi v85tt can do in the right hands ?
The problem's going to be residuals.. they'll be worth buttons on a trade in etc.
True, as of 2024 but that could change quickly. I remember when people were saying the same about Japanese bikes (yes, I am old)
Fancy wood buttons?
@@terrynicholson9273won't "quickly"
They're worth buttons to begin with... Who cares about residuals when you're paying 30% less than a KTM anyway
This was probably the best review of any CFMoto model I have seen.
Would love to see reviews of the Chinese full-sized dirt bikes (in the US the brands are Kayo KT250 or K6, SSR/QJ SR450S & SR300S, and Kove MX250)
Doesn't say much for Bike World does it.
Kove, GPX and SSR are the chinese brands to go for when it comes to dirt bikes and off roaders
I have a Cfmoto quad… I use in the outback Northern Territory Australia, it runs circles around other quads.👍🏻 tough bit of kit
I've been riding for 20 years but always feel so out of place with the bike.
wouldn't surprise me if cfmoto stops manufacturing the 650NK. it's just worse in every way than the 800NK. less power, less tech, and somehow a whopping 17kg heavier too.
and if you want something smaller, there's the 450 SR/NK. which is 33kg!! lighter.
Another great video Chris, I just gor Husqvarna Svarpilen 801 and it's just perfect ❤❤❤.
Keep up with great work
Looks the business, my only question, will any of these machines ever make it to the US?
The quality needs to stand up on its own, as does the warranty and dealer network etc but where possible, for this reason alone, I avoid Chinese stuff whilst understanding that I cannot avoid it completely
If it was Russian made I suspect we'd feel a bit different about it eh?
"horrific regime"? You can say that with someone like Biden ruling the free world?
And how much of that activity runs thru your mind while riding 😂

Because tough young riders know their fashion, because they're tough.
because they aren't designed by chinese guys. they are designed by Kiska. an EU company. :) Cfmoto isn't really 100% chinese.

What’s the dealership network like for repair & maintenance?
Glorious MK. My local dealer.

@@sirwes2924 It'll be interesting to hear about the cfmoto 790 reliability relative to prior KTM iterations.

Well excuuuuse me but considering the issues KTMs have, if cfmoto sells KTM copies, they are at least pricing them right
I wonder if the CF Moto is going to have the same camshaft issues as the KTM 790/890?

China's industries started late, so they had to remain at the lower levels of the commercial chain for a long time, producing cheap goods, but that doesn't mean that they remained static. As far I'm concerned we should not be supporting any motorbike's that are made in China from any brand, we should were possible be supporting our own economy and also anything thats made in China is shipped half way around the world has a massive carbon footprint and we should also not be supporting that.
Build your own iPhone and start that local Asian Restaurant you've been dreaming of.
Chris, Your first question should not be, “Is it just a KTM?” It should be, “Is it or its components made by slave labour in Xinjiang?” 😒
It's not so much that we have seen a lot of the next big ting. It's more that we have seen a lot of cheap unknown bikes come and try to establish themselves but fail because despite the low price they're still not good enough.
CF are average. Quality, average, performance average, support average, even hooking up with dinosaur review channels to market bikes,.average.
It's a great bike for the price but I'd still pick an used Yamaha MT09 over it for the same money.
chocolate camshafts?
China is good for us consumers. We get best bang for our buck and keeps the competition sharp.
Bit biased going to a business selling the bikes to ask them if there good and reliable, what dealer is going to say anything negative
Its clearly a paid advert. CF moto have been doing it a lot with various journos.
@@siraff4461yep, absolutely other bike companies never pay for this type of blatant stuff, and Bike Review is more ethical than Julian Assange and Ralph Nader combined.
Blimey 4 year warranty on a ktm engine.....that's very brave 😂
There’s really only one reason to buy one of these and that’s that it’s pretty cheap and cheerful. If that’s your thing and you don’t mind buying products from China, go for it. Personally, I see no reason to buy one of these. I’d rather buy a used Japanese bike for the money.
😂 just to spend more money for less features, basic looks and the same maintenance as every other vehicle, go for it.
@@marcustaylor3528most people keep their bikes for 3-5 years then trade up or trade in. If you enjoy losing over half your bikes value the second you drive it out of the dealer, go for it.
@@marcustaylor3528okaaaay, let the Aprilia v Honda maintenance battle begin!!
Looks to be a better finish than my 890 duke has, that's not saying much though 😂
The KTM commitment to longterm Fit and Finish has a wee bit to gehen.
Yamaha has a 49/51% cowned company with CFMoto as well. Let us see what they make out of it.
that tft display is just stupid
This bike it's great at low price
