From a fellow business owner and from what I’ve seen through your videos I’d be making Mike the top dog supervisor, when you’re not around he can manage everyone. Perhaps it’s a question of leadership now as to why it took them 4-5 hours to get 4 posts put in, if no one is in charge while your not around they think they can do whatever they want. If everyone knows Mike is the boss he can keep them moving and if not rather than saying it’s everyone’s fault as a group you could then question Mike as to why nothing got done. Mike is the kind of guy you wouldn’t need to worry about in my opinion, he would keep the ball rolling.
Hi Tom, I think that the fence looks really good. It gives the property a nice clean look for people passing by on the road. Don't be too hard you on your crew. They seem to be a good bunch of guys.
Wow for such a young man you are wise beyond your age and yes indeed if an employee damages the customers fence it is always best to admit to it and fix it because karma is a b-word and can ruin a business reputation and that is what i like about you. Thank you for the breath of fresh air. I am hoping to start a small business this fall or early next year but need to get out of California before I do there has been a lot of small business that start in California but go bankrupt in less than a year due to high taxes and high rent 1 out of 10 new small businesses are bankrupt in under one year
Great seeing content from a bigger landscape business vs these solo UA-cam landscapers with 4 trucks pretending to be a bigger company. I’m down in Florida and run only 3 trucks mostly commercial maintenance and it’s very relatable with the strugglers you go through with employees. Sometimes I feel like I’m running a daycare for adults vs a landscape company but I guess it just comes with growing a business. You seem like a great boss and have a lot of trust in them allowing them to drive around in $90k dump trucks
They are gonna find about it anyway it is what it is other co workers are always gonna find out about screw ups don’t matter if it’s in a video that’s life
Mike is the best guy you have hands down whoever is talking about Mike is crazy you should give him a raise and make him your top Foreman .....
