Digging the vibe…I’m part way into the video. I think when it comes to food y’all are conflating the capacity to derive and/or experience pleasure from unhealthy foods with the notion that they should exist. The ability to enjoy sweetness in foods or textures and mouthfeels doesn’t justify transmuted food products. Humans are a viral-parasitic species. That means they’re necessarily required to transform natural resources into artifacts in efforts to supplement and offset their natural limitations and deficits. This same principle applies to food. We transform raw natural foods, first into hybrid life forms that are easier to process (harvest and ultimately digest), and then into products that we can combine in efforts to create different levels of pleasure and experience. God (if that’s what you want to call it) gave us the capacity to taste and experience pleasure from food. In efforts to maximize pleasure for ourselves, we combined and recombined natural foods that have been already been processed and hybridized into recipes and food products. Those are not mutually inclusive things.
