I woke up to this... needed it for my confirmation!
It was 1973 and I was in the navy and while standing in an office on base, I suddenly became aware of myself floating above myself and aware of both of “me’s”… my learned friend I was with saw the shock on my face as we left and I explained what had happened… he said “come with me” and handed me a copy of Be Here Now…50 years later I am renewing interest in Ram Dass as I resolve this nonduality and Being… this UA-cam allows us to hear Richard as he spoke and experience his passion… last night at 2 AM this video suddenly appeared and played… my guess is it’s life changing… pretty cool if you were to ask me… thanks for putting this out for me…

What a gift from the universe not only to have had Ram Dass but also to have UA-cam offer it up to us decades later in the comfort of our homes ... without even knowing it was the nourishment we needed.
I suspect that I woke up to the auto feed at precisely the time I needed ...to hear the content where Dass is talking about the disturbance that a rising Kundalini causes... I think it's possible that as everyone's frequencies rise, we could have some friends and neighbors going kooky on us. People complain about ascension symptoms but they don't know how lucky they are that they don't have symptoms that can land them in Bellview!
Hahahaha. I woke up at 1:45am to this too.
Same thing happen to someone I know who went into the navy. He left his body and floated above it looking down and watched his body walk itself to his officer and quit as he spoke the words i quit re-entered his body

He said somethimg about being a spiritual leader and bringing shiva back down. I woke up from sleep to these words. Before I woke up, I had an intense dream that I was with two other friend's and we were invigorated from having fun somewhere, but we were about to clock in to a job. We took off sweatshirt, put on our vests and we swiftly went in to start helping. I woke up with a huge energy that it was time to get up and get to work. Then I realized what was playing. Its time. We're here becuase the people need us. To guide them back to the way of the spirit.
May I share some snippets of thoughts . Still trying to figure out how to wrap all this up in a way to explain but it's like attempting to make it that ruins what it is ..and isn't. Lol everything and nothing at the same time..sameness and difference at the same time . Lol ah the conundrums but it all makes sense.

I was super fortunate to see Ram Das at the 2017 Rainbow Gathering in Oregon. I think it was the last or maybe 2nd to last he would attend. Such a special person. It’s a privilege to learn from him.

I wish I was old enough in the 70s to have attended lectures from both Ram Dass and Alan Watts..both were great spiritual teachers and thought leaders - love the present, God is me, be balanced, serve others, inner world over material world..a great path to peace and happiness..they were both very learned academics who had tremendous insight..I know that I become an even better version of myself if I can aspire towards their teachings ..all delivered through almighty God 🙏🙏

I had a taste of awakening a couple weeks ago and it has brought me into a sort of depression mourning my character and the pain it will leave my children when I die.
You're not dead yet. You can end the karmic pattern with your children by living now as and from who you really are. You can gift them the example of your humility and courage. That legacy is extraordinary!
Be here now. Keep listening to the wise teachings of Ram Dass.

He was not perfect but he was extra-ordinary !
Also, your depression will pass if you allow it to. One of our lessons is self-love/self-forgiveness... it's real. Breathe and release. Respect the experience of your kids but give them the possibility of growing spiritually and respecting you. They may surprise you if you give them time. Also, when your kids chose to become your kids (which they really did as part of their soul-contract before taking birth) they agreed to have whatever their experience was with you. By being challenged, even in the worst ways, we expand. We also get the chance to heal the world by taking in garbage, alchemize it through divine qualities like forgiveness etc and spit out unconditional love. This is what turns us into spiritual masters. xoxo

For those who have kids, maybe think " if i made different decisions. . . . " , i came to a realization that my kids are my guru. - learning unconditional love - I've grown exponentially in becoming a parent - anytime i do anything with my kids, rather play or yell at them, it reveals to me a part of myself i didn't see before. You tell me, sound like guru? They're the one's joyful and happy. We're stressed, pissed, anxiety. Who really has it figured out?
We have bills. Kids are ignorant
I always said my children are my greatest teachers. I have five! And they teach you even more when they are adults. Oh, what a journey!

First month round the clock feedings can be difficult, probably know by now. 2-3 months you can introduce baby rice cereal from grocery store. They stay full longer, sleep longer. I know it's hard with the sleep dep. Hang in there. Take turns on a nightly basis
The line about feeling joy nursing an AIDS patient was revealing. The motivation of such people is morally and ethically complex.
At 56:53 we see how wild this world is which makes impossible possible with enough time (sequence of events), because I did just happen to stumble in to his lecture

“You might as well get on with it [IT],”, is a pointer. The IT is that which is already/always silently present. This is what today’s non-dualist teaching offers. Just notice that which isn’t changing or doing. That’s Being. Abide there. Done. That’s it.

Ram dass has become a guru for young western minds trapped in delusions. Whether it be in our mind or politics, relationships, etc.
