    Pick out the simplest box and then pick out the next simplest box. Look for patterns. Do Not spend too much time looking for the simplest box.
    Make a list of patterns. List down every single pattern in the list on the minute given to read on the day of the exam
    .
    Flag questions.

    This popped up in my recommended 3 days before my UCAT and in my last few days I used these strategies and ended up with an 870 in AR! It was always my weakest area (when I first started practicing I was averaging 550-650) so these tips really helped.

      It was good ty for asking! A lot better than BMAT. I’d say verbal reasoning was the hardest part. Keep practising situational judgement! I was a little disappointed with my result for it. I did well enough to get into a good UKCAT uni, so *keep practising* 🙌🏾

    • @MariamMo
      @MariamMo 3 роки тому +2

      Aryan Sharma hi! i’d say focus on the areas where you feel you’re not so good at, and keep practising those sections. also come up with a strategy for the exam, for eg i found it was easier to read the q before i read the text. also if a q is hard, don’t spend too long overthinking the answer, this will make you doubt yourself, always go with your gut instinct. i gave myself a time limit for each question, so i had around 20 seconds for each q before i had to move on. this helped me make sure that i didn’t run out of time. also take an educated guess or use a process of elimination if the q is really hard! you don’t want to run out of time. make sure you keep calm during the exam too! anxiety and stress will cause you to panic, so just remember that you’re trying your best and that’s what counts! good luck ☺️

    For 13 minutes, answering 55 questions is really hard. How did you think of every pattern that quick? did you guess some answers?

    • @abdullahimran4624
      @abdullahimran4624 4 роки тому +8

      Truth is it's not really 13/55 minutes per question because most of the time, each of the A/B pattern has 5 questions for it. That makes gives you a minute or so to complete the entire set, so 40 seconds to identify the patterns and 20 to answer the 5 questions (because after knowing the patterns it's quite easy).

I’m gonna follow all your tips and I’ll come back to this comment after my exam and say what I got in the section. It is honestly my worst section. I want to around 700-800 in abstract reasoning. That’s my goal. I’ll do A LOT of practise abstract reasoning questions everyday, hopefully it will pay off.

      I Used the ISC Medical School questions first to gain an understanding of the types of questions and the timing, then i used medify. Medify is the best thing you can possible use in my opinion. Overall last august i got 770, AR: 900, QR: 870, VR: 650 DM: 660, I would say my mistakes were not practicing enough verbal reasoning properly. Its difficult to read and process the information on medify because i found the texts were really long so a lot of my practice for those questions was guess work, but on the day, i found the texts were shorter but because i hadn't practiced it properly i still just kinda skimmed and guessed. I would recommend having some sort of technique which works for u and sticking to it for VR rather than doing guesswork. DM medify questions are just so varied and some came up like they did in medify others different. QR and AR i just practiced so many questions and got better and better. Also, use the mousepad on the RHS of the keyboard and become very used to it, it can save u loads of time. medify is fantastic because u constantly practice in timed conditions, u dont ave the option to keep going when time runs out and there are thousands of questions. But ultimately i got 4 interviews mostly due to my score on this so get medify for a month if u can and do all 4000 questions.

      learn to utilise the keyboard numbers on the right hand side, if u get quick with em you can save lots and lots of time. also practice because u need to develop a certain way of thinking of picking out the relevant information and ignoring the useless bits. honestly its all practice, the harder u work the better u will do.

      You need to do as well as the best person did in QR in 2006... It's a bit weird...

      lozylazyluzylizylezy 22 if you're passionate about medicine then go for it, you might still have a chance. Some unis however won't accept those gcse results at all (like Liverpool), but I see what you mean about them being low. If you fit the criteria you can apply for programs at unis that lower the requirements from AAA to ABB like Access to Leeds for example.

      Hey, I’m in a similar situation. I know I won’t get predicted 3 A’s but I’m still going to try and get into medicine. It’s all about your determination and passion for it. But keep in mind next year will not be a joke for you.
