Hi Norman, I achieved eight 9s and two eights in my GCSEs today, thank you so much for your revision help and motivation. The five pound gift cards and dt flashcards were also a big bonus :). 7:16 my exam is tomorrow morning and for the last month my mocks have all been between 2600 and 2700, but the last 2 Medify mocks I did I got 2780 and 3000… inshallah it goes similarly tomorrow🙏
I have my exam soon and ngl I'm really nervous now 😭 I'm not getting the best scores even with practice and you said it's harder in the real exam so I'm so screwed.
Hey man, congrats on ur UCAT score, its such a good score so you shouldn't worry about interviews. I just got a few questions about your experience. 1) For VR you said the passages were really long, were the passages really with long with heavy inference type of questions? 2) Was DM different to Medify? And were the syllogisms complicated? 3) Would you say QR was easier than medify?
Thanks so much!! 1) It was in the heat of the moment as well, but it felt like i had barely any true/false/can't tell questions, and just non stop inference questions and with texts that barely made sense. Tbh a lot of the questions felt straightforward and easy to find in the text, so I'm not really sure what happened. 2) The syllogisms were..strange, but not too different to the medify ones. They just were a bit longer (even the ones near the start which usually are fairly short). 3) QR felt much easier in the real thing than in medify, for most of the exam i was just doing the same thing over and over again.
Congrats bro. How realistic would you say the medify mocks and mini mocks are. Are they realistic of the actual ucat? Also what kind of score were you getting towards the end of your ucat prep
Have you done 9 entire mocks in total before the real UCAT? I did my first mock 3 days ago on med entry and got 2750- band 1,and I did a second one on medify today and got 2270 , like how, and band 3, I never got less than band 2, tbh I am devasted , and my ucat Is in 8 days
this happened to me as well, don't stress. My best scores in mocks usually were near the start. In fact, at the start i got 2750 also, but near the end i was achieving like 2350 and things and getting band 3 and 4 non stop. It's normal, I found that doing mini mocks helped more with making sure each individual section was as strong as possible. In terms of mocks, just continue doing them for the sake of practise and getting used to the questions, but don't take the scores you get too seriously because they vary A LOT. Like one time I'd get really good in one section and then I'd flunk it the next time round. Trust me, you'll do amazing, don't stress!!
@@NoumanSamiaww thank youu, you being really positive but seriously I wasnt doing bad before, I was doing pretty good and now when I am one week away from the exam it is all terrible, like After that bad score I tried to get more done, but after that I Just kept doing bad and bad and now at 22:05 I officially gave up cuz I cant even get one question right at this point, not even easy QR
yeah most of them were wayyy more difficult than the real thing. On medify, nearly every question requires like 2-3 steps to do, but for the real thing, about like 70% of the questions were all basic 1 step questions where the only thing that would take time is understanding what the graph meant. As long as you're able to do all the different things such as averages, percentage change, speed distance time etc. you'll be more than fine (QR was one of my weaker sections but ended up being my best in the real thing idk how)
omg thank you so much i was literally just crying over my crap scores in qr as i do alevel maths so thought what is wrong with me thanks again feeling much more better@@NoumanSami
Applying to unis with lower ucat cutoff scores, or applying to unis that don’t take ucat into as much consideration and focus more on grades and PS and stuff (you can find out how each university weighs all the different things on their course websites). Or even the fact that I had BMAT and so I could just apply to more BMAT universities if I didn’t do well in the UCAT. Or even, just taking a gap year and doing the exam again next year.
Big well done nouman what type of questions predominatly came up on the Qr section was there lots of graphs and table or was it sdt questions or percentages etc or the mixture of it all
Hmm it was mostly graphs and tables, and the range of questions that came up were similar to what you’d find on like medify, but it was all really easy, most of the questions were just one step questions that took less than 20s
Hey nouman, what's ur 5th uni and even if ur not sure, what other course would u apply for ur 5th uni? Also, what's ur ranked uni choices, what are ur top 4 choices of uni decisions
Hi can you recommend a time plan as in when I should start my Ucat studying and when is the best time to book the date what is the best portal to use I used medify the last time what do you recommend I struggled with the maths in the test can you recommend anything I should Thanks in advance
Nearly all 7s, 8s and 9s. One mark off a 7 in maths should i get it remarked? And 1 off in RE for an 8 which shocked me because I've always gotten 9s in that even my mock that got sent to edexcel came back with a 9 when I thought I really messed up so should I remark these the school will probably do them for free? Also congrats on your UCAT score so proud of you!!
Nice!! Honestly if you don't NEED to remark then there's really no point, but if you want go ahead. Your grades overall are still really good and you literally dont have anything to worry about for the future with those grades so be proud!!
@@NoumanSami Hi Nouman the only reasons I would was 1 because it was a personal goal of mine for so long and I'm so close and the chance of my grade going down is extremely low as a 6 is 112 and I got 144 but 2 because i might do a degree in economics and politics or economics and sociology which require a minimum 7 in gcse maths to apply. Overall I'll still be really happy regardless of what happens. I am pursuing completely new subjects economics , psychology and politics so that should be interesting. Keep pursuing your dreams in medicine wish you all the best for the future.
you dont need to worry, the days before my exam, i was getting worse and worse scores and i decided to take it slow on the last couple days and accept that by now, whatever I did wouldn't change much anyways, so just having the confidence that you'll do well will really help
@@NoumanSami yeah short cuts, things like the memory functions, were they actual useful to use? Cause I can’t seem to figure in what way they would be useful
i didnt use the memory function once, i honestly never understood how to use it. But in terms of alt+n and alt+p, I used it constantly, it helps save crucial seconds, because it takes some time moving the mouse each time to click next and then clicking an option and so on. Ik it doesn't seem like a big deal, but it does really help in making sure you have as much time as possible (especially when you're trying to guess the last couple questions if you have like 5s left).
Thanks so much!! I personally think that starting like 6 weeks prior is a good amount of time, doing an hour or two a day at the start and slowly increasing it near the end
Hi what unis are you considering I had a very similar ucat to you + same band and extremely similar gcses Would really appreciate some advice as I'm unsure on which ones I should strategically apply to
Akhi salam, Iam kind of confused on what A levels to pick and whether Engineer or Medicine has more demand in the working industry?. Iam thinking of picking A level Maths,Physics,Econ,Chem. However in the back of my mind I feel like also going through the medicine pathway. Any Suggestions?.
I was in a similar position man, don't worry. QR I found to be one of the easiest ones in the real thing, the questions were far simpler than the medify mocks
Hey Nouman u know how u make notes on ur ipad during lessons and then u make flashcards using remnote, do u also make typed up notes on remnote as well? I just couldn’t choose between anki and remnote as to what flashcard app I should use for y12, which im still figuring out Also how many hours would u roughly recommended to study after school and whether ud study all 3 subjects, or do u base what ur studying according to ur college timetable, I just wanna be organised and revise effectively as im not sure as to whether i should study all 3 subjects in a day? Also id rlly wanna see a study with me video ps - Congratulations Nouman with ucat and results!! 🎉I wish u all the best for ur future, srry for so many questions 😅
Hi, let me answer each question one by one.. I don't make typed notes on Remnote. I only use it to make flash cards, all my notes are drawn on my Ipad which then becomes the basis of my flash cards. There isn't a set number of hours of work I'd do after school each day. In fact, some days I'd come home and have absolutely nothing to do (rare though). Usually, I'd spend about an hour reviewing an hour's worth of lesson time. So if I had 4 hours worth of lessons in a day, I'd spend about 4 hours at home reviewing those lessons. Sometimes I wouldn't do it all in the same day and spread out the hours across the week but it really depended to be honest. And overall, I usually did all 3 subjects every day, the most being biology because of all the new content we were learning, the least being Maths because it wasn't something I really needed to constantly go over. Hopefully that helps!!
The all wrong clip was so real😭 Im so scared mines in 3 days. Ive literally done the absolute most and my scores cannot escape the 2600-2750 range fml😭
Honestly don’t stress and don’t overwork yourself. Whatever you do in these last days won’t really help towards your grade anymore, so all you can do is build up some confidence and make sure your time management is on point. In terms of scores, take them all lightly because what you get in mocks doesn’t reflect what you’ll get in the real thing (in a good way)
@@NoumanSami thanks so much I'm trying my best haha. One more thing, the official UCAT mocks are so laggy - does the real thing lag that much or is it like medify?
@@junebug2299 nah the real thing is super seamless, the shortcuts work perfectly as well. Only thing is, you can’t spam skip questions, like each time you move on to the next Q, the page refreshes a bit and then moves on
Assalamo Alykum Nouman Alhamdulilah when i look back at year 11, i have to say that it was a really good year. I did countless examination papers every day and got my teachers to mark them and because of my consistent sheer hard work throughout year 11, i won the "John Archer award for endeavour" at the year 11 celebration evening and maths award for doing countless examination papers. I got the John Archer award for endeavour because i was committed to my studies and worked really hard. Does that inshallah mean that i am likely to get those higher grades? like 7s, 8s, and 9s. I pray everyday that it inshallah happens
Assalamualeikum, I have read many of your replies to comments saying that QR was way too easy, much better than medify, which is very to good but dont u think you were just lucky? And we might be unlucky. I am so scared for QR, I feel like medify mock, all the questions are so long and I just wanna skip the entire mock due to the lenght of all questions, what should I do? Do u know if med entry questions are more similiar to the real ucat qr?
we all get roughly the same questions, it's from the same question bank so there will be a bit of variation, but most questions will be the same. With medify, most of the questions are 2 step, sometimes 3 step questions, but with the real thing, the majority of questions are just 1 step questions, with the occasional few requiring a second step, so overall it's just much quicker. The only 'difficult' part is getting used to the data and understanding what is going on, but the maths is very basic.
Ahh best of luck!! From experience, the stuff that you do leading up to the exam won't really change your score. I'd say not to overwork yourself, and focus mainly of having a strategy for managing your time, because apart from that, you can't do much else. The day before my exam, i spent mainly all of my time on AR, trying to familiarise myself with as many rules as I could, but I didn't do much else. On the day of the exam, I didn't even touch the questions just so I wouldn't get stressed and start to panic.
honestly dont stress, i was getting the same as you as well, but I found the real thing for QR much easier and a lot of the questions were much shorter than the medify mocks.
VR felt a bit more difficult, DM was very different in terms of how they worded a lot of questions, QR and AR felt easier in the real thing compared to medify.
i dont think its really based on hours, it hugely depends on the person. Just make sure not to overwork yourself and try and stick to doing max 4 hours each day

7:16 my exam is tomorrow morning and for the last month my mocks have all been between 2600 and 2700, but the last 2 Medify mocks I did I got 2780 and 3000… inshallah it goes similarly tomorrow🙏

Allahumma Barik Nouman WWW You did so well
Jazakallah khair!! Thanks so much!!
I have my exam soon and ngl I'm really nervous now 😭 I'm not getting the best scores even with practice and you said it's harder in the real exam so I'm so screwed.
Don’t stress, just stay calm and make sure to be confident, apart from that good luck! Just remember you’ve done all you can
Congrats
Please make a video on the UCAT!
What in particular do you wanna see
Hey man, congrats on ur UCAT score, its such a good score so you shouldn't worry about interviews.
Congrats!!!

Thanks!! Also what is your pfp

THANKSS
allahummabarik that is so good! how many weeks of rev did u do?
Congrats bro. How realistic would you say the medify mocks and mini mocks are. Are they realistic of the actual ucat? Also what kind of score were you getting towards the end of your ucat prep
Hey congrats on your score, I’m just about to start year 12, when would you recommend starting your revision for the UCAT?
After your end of years
Hope u see this but may I ask what *free* digital notetaking app u recommend, I’m starting my journey for being more productive. hope it works 😅
yo I have mine today and have done minimal revision...
wish me luck
Edit: I got 2600 and got band 2
Best of luck!!
how did you do
Have you done 9 entire mocks in total before the real UCAT?

@@MubeenArif-d1w How did your exam go in the end? I have mine in 2 days and I am petrified
Congratsss mines soon and I wanted to ask uno some of the mini mocks for QR were they harder than the exams 😭Qr
yeah most of them were wayyy more difficult than the real thing.
Finallyyyyyy. I was waiting for so long
Took ages to edit, it was gonna originally come out on Sunday but yeah.. at least it's out now

Big well done nouman
what type of questions predominatly came up on the Qr section was there lots of graphs and table or was it sdt questions or percentages etc or the mixture of it all
Hmm it was mostly graphs and tables, and the range of questions that came up were similar to what you’d find on like medify, but it was all really easy, most of the questions were just one step questions that took less than 20s
Hey nouman, what's ur 5th uni and even if ur not sure, what other course would u apply for ur 5th uni? Also, what's ur ranked uni choices, what are ur top 4 choices of uni decisions
Brother I have a question.
Is it possible to give the ucat from BANGLADESH?
I am in A2, so it will be very helpful if you helped me?
Can you make video on the UCAT SECTIONS
@NormanSami what is the website link you used to practice for exam can I have website link. The same website shown on video please.

Can you prepare on a laptop, and still use all the keyboard shortcuts?
Hi i love your videos because they're very informative and helpful. Im just wondering what exam board did you do for chemistry and biology?
Hi thanks so much! I did AQA for both
@@NoumanSamiThank you!
Hi can you recommend a time plan as in when I should start my Ucat studying and when is the best time to book the date what is the best portal to use I used medify the last time what do you recommend I struggled with the maths in the test can you recommend anything I should
Thanks in advance
I am literally terrified i have my exam in 2 days and my medify mocks are so bad
you dont need to worry, the days before my exam, i was getting worse and worse scores and i decided to take it slow on the last couple days and accept that by now, whatever I did wouldn't change much anyways, so just having the confidence that you'll do well will really help
@@NoumanSami thank you so much! Also congrats you got such an amazing score🫶🏽🫶🏽
for QR, did you use any of the keyboard tricks?
what like shortcuts? i used shortcuts everywhere, so so useful
Congrats Norman!! Btw how many weeks before the UCAT exam do you recommend we should revise for?
Amazing video and editing as always
Thanks so much!! I personally think that starting like 6 weeks prior is a good amount of time, doing an hour or two a day at the start and slowly increasing it near the end
Hi what unis are you considering I had a very similar ucat to you + same band and extremely similar gcses
Would really appreciate some advice as I'm unsure on which ones I should strategically apply to
Akhi salam, Iam kind of confused on what A levels to pick and whether Engineer or Medicine has more demand in the working industry?. Iam thinking of picking A level Maths,Physics,Econ,Chem. However in the back of my mind I feel like also going through the medicine pathway. Any Suggestions?.
I have mine in 3 days and don't feel prepared at all 😭 especially on QR.
I was in a similar position man, don't worry. QR I found to be one of the easiest ones in the real thing, the questions were far simpler than the medify mocks
@@NoumanSami 2580 B2 😬
thats good!! You've got lots of options
Hey Nouman u know how u make notes on ur ipad during lessons and then u make flashcards using remnote, do u also make typed up notes on remnote as well? I just couldn’t choose between anki and remnote as to what flashcard app I should use for y12, which im still figuring out
Also how many hours would u roughly recommended to study after school and whether ud study all 3 subjects, or do u base what ur studying according to ur college timetable, I just wanna be organised and revise effectively as im not sure as to whether i should study all 3 subjects in a day? Also id rlly wanna see a study with me video
ps - Congratulations Nouman with ucat and results!!
@@NoumanSami thank u sooo much nouman, yep uve definitely cleared the doubts i had regarding revision!!
Only thing is, you can’t spam skip questions, like each time you move on to the next Q, the page refreshes a bit and then moves on
How did it go?!
Assalamo Alykum Nouman
Alhamdulilah when i look back at year 11, i have to say that it was a really good year.
Can I have the website link you used to practice the same website shown on video please
Its called Medify, its paid but its so so worth it
Congrats on your score man! I got mine tomorrow 😭 What should I do today?
Ahh best of luck!! From experience, the stuff that you do leading up to the exam won't really change your score. I'd say not to overwork yourself, and focus mainly of having a strategy for managing your time, because apart from that, you can't do much else. The day before my exam, i spent mainly all of my time on AR, trying to familiarise myself with as many rules as I could, but I didn't do much else. On the day of the exam, I didn't even touch the questions just so I wouldn't get stressed and start to panic.
Thanks man!
How did you do
When did you start preparing and what resources did you use - did you pay for any resources?
I started like mid-june and I only really used medify which i did pay for but it was very worth it
Did the AR section include patterns which were fairly easy to spot? Unlike the ones in medify mocks?
Yeah most of them were pretty easy
@@NoumanSami that's good coz I normally end up missing some questions coz of time coz other QS take too much time
hi Nouman, I'm getting 600-650 in QR mocks in Medify which made me very worried. How'd you compare the real QR and the medify one?
honestly dont stress, i was getting the same as you as well, but I found the real thing for QR much easier and a lot of the questions were much shorter than the medify mocks.

I’d say around 2 months before your exam
what are you trying to get into? dentistry or medicine?
medicine
wow,@@NoumanSami thanks for the fast reply, inshallah you get into the course of your choice at the uni of your choice, keep hustling :)
@@vapourOnGodspeed Thanks!! And yes inshallah, hope it all goes well.
what app you used for UCAT revison?
Medify
If i get good mark in ucat test then university give me scholarship?
Most likely no, but the UCAT will help in getting an interview
How did the subsection compare to medify?
And would you recommend doing the official UCAT question banks
VR felt a bit more difficult, DM was very different in terms of how they worded a lot of questions, QR and AR felt easier in the real thing compared to medify.
oh and SJT felt easier than medify as well
tbh i didnt do much of the question banks, i mainly just did the official ucat mocks
How many hours roughly would you say you would need to do well?
i dont think its really based on hours, it hugely depends on the person. Just make sure not to overwork yourself and try and stick to doing max 4 hours each day
@@NoumanSami Lol I have 2 weeks left so I kinda need to do a lot more
I’ve only really practised the first two parts too… only realised I could apply for dentistry after I got my grades so that’s when I decided to do UCAT so it’s quite last minute unfortunately .
I’m taking a gap year btw I’ve just finished Alevels
ah i see, yeah it makes sense to do a bit more in your case, best of luck though!
Are you going to do BMAT as well?
Yeah
How many mocks did u do in total?
I think i did 9 medify mocks (full ones) and like nearly all the mini mocks, as well as practise mocks A, B and C on the official ucat website
How many hours did you spend in total?
I can’t really put it into hours but my revision began in July and I’d do about 1-2 hours each day at the start, which then became like 4-5 hours each day near the end with the last week or so before my exam
Thank you for letting me know@@NoumanSami
