Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else wants to uncover electronics repair forum try Saankramer Electronic Magazine System ( search on google ) ? Ive heard some great things about it and my co-worker got great results with it.
Really great guide - thank you very much! Your guide helped me to repair my daughter's iPhone 6 which she had dropped into the toilet... So water damaged and would not even power up. This guide is very clear and well put together. Some of the "tear down" videos show how to disassemble - that's the easy part! Its putting it all back together that is challenging. I drew a map of the iphone and put the screws I took out onto the map so I could put them back in the correct place. Not all the screws are the same! Different lengths and types. Used isopropanol 99% to clean all connectors and wash the RF board and then baked in a very low oven to dry off. Now fully working and I have a very pleased and relieved daughter! Thanks again!
I was going off of iFixit. I mainly made those timestamps just for a personal project. I believe the actual GSM cable is toward the bottom right, around where the loudspeaker is. After adjusting that on my iPhone, I noticed that it connects a little better. Before adjusting it, I had some intermittent connections, etc.
Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else wants to learn about circuit board repairs try Saankramer Electronic Magazine System (just google it ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my mate got amazing results with it.
I would appreciate little details like the metal plate that covers the connections for the screen, the middle screw is slightly longer I think and the screw closest to the top right corner of the phone is a lot longer than the rest.
Anyone considering this, search eBay for "iPhone 6 magnetic mat." It has an image of the inside of an iPhone 6 with circles where each of the screws go as well as places to put the brackets and small parts. It's magnetic, so as you remove each screw, you can simply place it where it goes on the image. It makes things so much easier. Almost too easy.
Thanks for the video. There are several times where I cannot see what you are doing because your hands are in the ways and you do not move them. Like when you are installing the ear speaker and connections between the two halves. I figured it out. Thanks again.
You should have disconnected the battery first before disconnecting the LCD digitizer... Also you should NOT have used a blow gun AT ALL on the battery. You also fail to mention to be highly observant when removing screws: a lot of them look the same but are completely different, you have to make sure to put them back EXACTLY in the same spot. In all honestly this guy in the video somewhat knows what he's doing but is no professional by any means
the Front Screen and the actual video display screen are broken how do i search those parts? all i find is front screen replacements....but i need the screen that actually displays the video
I'm having issues with my gps on my phone I've tried everything I can think of short of doing a reinstall on the phone. Do you think replacing the wifi antenna maybe the cause. Someone else suggested it, that's why I'm asking?
hi my iphone completely died, the apple store will replace it but I'm desperate to get some photos off of it before I do that. it won't turn on when plugged in, to wall or computer. Is there anything I can do or is it a lost cause?
I followed this guide, opened phone no problem, replaced a part no problem. Closed it up, turned it on, no problem. I noticed it began to get very hot even when screen was off. Turned it off, set it aside. Now when attempting to turn it on, no display. Plugged it into a charger, nothing. Thoughts or advice?
FUCK GOOGLE + what part did you replace? The phone only warms up when the battery is being used more frequently & when the LCD display is on Also, don't keep it in your pocket on hot days! That's a recipe for disaster!
Johan Camargo hi dear, we supply the broken phone repair machine and parts for phones, contact us if you have any interested, email: crystalxiong@szcarlife.com or skype: amyxiao99999
anyone trying to follow this guide, beware. i've read that damage can be done to some of the componets of the phone if you do not put each individual screw back to the exact hole it can out of. this video fails to mention this.
+Joe That is solid advice The motherboard can be damaged by switching screws around. Off camera we use a magnetic mat to keep the screws organized and feel that is the best practice. Thanks for the comment.
I don't think that phone is new. When removing the battery there should be 2 white stickers that would pull from away from the base of the battery. Instead here I see black stickers that are used in service. So don't use head gun. Instead pull away the two stickers from the base of the battery and replace the stickers with others. Using black stickers will cause to use force when removing battery.
Repairs Universe he means this phone was apart once before. One video i fought with the battery tape for 10 min while the repair videos battery fell out in his hand after a min of pretending to unstick it.
Isaiah Ravelin Yes after water damage I wan't a total tear down. Easy to find tear apart video but this one was the best with re-assembly. Damn there are a lot of screws. But back together and works fine. The only two pieces I changed to make it 100% was the battery and the digitizer assembly because I couldn't get rid of the water marks under the glass.

This is not the first time you take apart your phone
you making it feel like it is too easy
It's challenging, however with practice you'll be able to get this done just as smooth.
