      If you did device experience any water damage or moisture, this will most likely be the issue. We would recommend to replace at minimum one speaker and test it to see if it resolves the issue. It's difficult to fully confirm without the proper evaluation. Hope this helps!

    I had two additional flat screws at the top of my 5S motherboard that you didn't show removal of. I removed one, but didn't see the other in the top little L box, so that little box snapped off! OUCH! After all that! Will the motherboard still work if this little top box isn't connected to it?

    I just watched the 5S take apart repair guide which happens to be exactly like the one I have. I followed the instructions to the 'T' and was really proud of myself until the very last step on the motherboard. Maybe the antenna was rotted but it broke when I tried to remove it from the motherboard and bounced across the room...into a deep dark hole somewhere. What do I need to replace this antenna lead. There are so many different types I don't know which one to choose. Help please. Reuben Atlanta, Ga.

    Hi I don't know if you'll reply to this but I really need help. So the back camera (which should lie flush with the back cover) of my 5s got pushed in. I'm planning to open my phone myself to fix that. It still works but I hate how it looks and I feel it would be hard to clean in the future! So, will I need to unplug the battery first before fixing the camera or can I just go ahead and reposition the camera? Thanks

    My daughters 5s had water damage. I replaced battery. Now it frequently and randomly says its over heating. With a few pushes of the sleep button usually starts working again. Also when plugging in the lightning charger, it says "may not support this device". To charge we must plug in then turn off and let it charge while its not thinking about whether its compatible or not. Any ideas?

  • @Partyhardrocker
    @Partyhardrocker 10 років тому

    question. Is that a problem with the screen or motherboard?
    so i dropped my phone in water and i got as much water out as possible then put it in rice for 3 days. after the three days it worked, with just some water marks on the screen. the water marks on the screen faded away and the screen was working okay. about 5 hours in from the marks being away the screen started to malfunction and wouldt respond to my touches and sometimes it would just go black all of the sudden and overtime the screen turns black and its on, but just black, and i can still slide to unlock and stop alarms and navigate through the phone and open apps because i hear the music and games i open. like it works but its not displaying a picture sometimes.

    I had my phone repaired from a cracked screen a couple of months ago. I noticed my self view camera does no work. Can it be that the screws that hold down the ribbon connectors were mixed up? If so are these screws different sizes and have a specific hole to fall in place. Thanks in advance.

    • @Repairsuniverseusa
      @Repairsuniverseusa  9 років тому

      The front facing camera has your proximity sensor as well. This may have been damaged when installing the new screen. However, you can replace the assembly and should resolve your issue. www.repairsuniverse.com/iphone-5s-front-camera---sensor-flex-cable-replacement.html When taking apart your iPhone, the screws are different sizes. So keep in mind where you removing them from as they would need to be placed in the same place.

So i plugged it into to the charger (just to turn it on) And it shows that the battery is completely dead (empty battery, one red bar) then it turns on (white back round black apple logo) then screen goes black, then it repeats? Battery Dead-Apple Logo-Black Screen. (Prior to the disassemble my battery was at 100%) Whats my issue? Assistance would be much appreciated..
