Fonejacker / Facejacker were on terrestrial TV in the UK. His use of an old phone is for comic effect - the show went out in 2006! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fonejacker
The Phone Jacker is called Kayvan Novak he has been in a few films you will recognise and plays one of the main vampires in the "What We Do In The Shadows" TV show. Also check out Face Jacker, another show he does which is hilarious!
OMG, you've found the world of fonejacker!! I'm soooo excited! I would recommend Doovde player, Internet Services, Monies, George Agdgdgwngo Series compilation (that's a bit long but this character is one of my faves!) Those are classic. They're not watching the actual person while he's calling them, but the visuals are just as hilarious.
The confusing one where he speaks to the guy at the market, the fonejacker is using Cockney rhyming slang to form sentences which is used by natives of East London
Definitely worth exploring other Fonejacker scenes. The most popular characters in the series like Terry Tibbs, George Ngedegwango (spelling?) and the Indian Call Centre guy are all superb also the ‘Doovde’ guy, all regular characters and the funniest in my opinion but none of them feature filming the ‘reaction’ of the victim.
The guy that does all the voices is a guy called 'Kayvan Novak' he did a later series where he does a similar thing but in masks in person called 'Facejacker'
The great thing about British accents is that it changes every 40/50 miles or so. There are so many accents on the British Isles. Yorkshire,Cockney,Geordie,Scottish etc....
Sometimes even less than that! I live in Lancashire about 30 miles from both Manchester and Liverpool and can think of so many accents just in that radious
God almighty! Hahaha! It's like, 10/11 years since I've seen this and I'm actually gutted for the salesman! That's what a decade of life-experience does to you.
you probably didn't quite catch the one at the end. Londoners have a lot of thick slang that sounds like nonsense. that's why the guy still couldn't tell it was a prank. 🤣
I'm in tears watching these videos you take the time to look at but what has me in tears laughing is you laughing, I've seen them all before and they are still hilarious but watching you laugh makes me piss myself. Glad you appreciate English humour.
there was a hell of a lot in Bo' that was of its time and very British in 75% of the celebrities that were done on there....I don't think they'd get Trisha, Craig from BB, Martine McCutchecon Sara Cox, Vernon Kay, Junen Pingpong, Michelle McManus etc etc. Maybe the likes of Elton, The Osbournes and MJ might make the transition.
Do more of these please? There are plenty of more characters yet to be seen. Also he brought out a show called Facejacker after Fonejacker where he would wear prosthetic faces and play some of the characters from Fonejacker. I'd suggest that show after you've watched a few more episodes of this! Respect from The UK, 0121!
Hi I watched this with my friend for hours back in the day, we would crack up, good to see new people have just spotted it.nice to see u laughing dude.greetings from London.
it was broadcast 2006 ish .... second series was called Facejacker. He does the characters in person. 1st series the best - terry tibbs, charlie wong, internet service providings 👍🏻
I remember watching this must be well over 15 years ago and been in stitches when he was singing the song lol man I use to smoke so much cannabis back then watching this
If you like this you should check out the master of phone pranks, Longmont potion Castle. It's audio only but the funniest thing you'll ever hear. Especially one called Liter Of Salad.
Brilliant! Been waiting for an American to react to this! Great reaction! I hope u continue the series and eventually get to 'Facejacker' where Phonejacker (Kayvan Novak) wears disguises and creates real-life versions of his Phonejacker characters Borat style. Kayvan is a talented guy he's done a few TV shows and movies including the new Men in Black International. U gained a subscriber..will be back for more 👍
You should check out Facejacker. The next version of this series where the prankster is in a full body suit disguise acting as the characters from Fonejacker.
the tune is clearly pet shop boys west end girls.
correct. I got it straight away :)
Beat me to it, was about to post the same.
It was but I'd think a classical music but wouldn't have a clue 😂
Makes me crack up everytime. Legitimate sounds like a middle eastern character!
I know, right? It's actually really recognisable.
I love it when you are together. She is lovely man.
am i odd that i figured the song out in seconds....westend girls
same - we must be 'special'
When he said he wanted to put a deposit on that car, you could see the pound signs light up in the salesman's eyes !
I feel bad for the car salesman, lol. But then I just remind myself he's a salesman
Fun fact..Fonejacker is Waj from Four Lions
I used to work in that record shop at 12:03
That poor car salesman.
You guys are the best comedy "reaction" team on UA-cam. Josh's laugh is crazy infectious and Taylor seems so nice.

My fave is when he puts a speaker on a stores self checkout area, some guy is scanning peas and he is saying stuff like 'condoms scanned'
The record shop had me crying! took me about two minutes to work out he was trying to sing a Petshop Boys classic.
Oh I just realized he's singing 'West End Girls' by The Pet Shop Boys! ha lol
OMG, you've found the world of fonejacker!! I'm soooo excited! @11:30 Who else recognises Pet Shop Boys - West End Girls?
Johns laugh should just be a show in itself

God almighty! Hahaha! It's like, 10/11 years since I've seen this and I'm actually gutted for the salesman! That's what a decade of life-experience does to you.
Facejacker was the next set of pranks Kayvan did, not quite as good IMO but well worth watching
The car dealer was dreaming of that huge sales bonus
I KNEW you'd like phonejacker! I think you would LOVE What We Do In The Shadows.
you probably didn't quite catch the one at the end. Londoners have a lot of thick slang that sounds like nonsense. that's why the guy still couldn't tell it was a prank. 🤣

At 15:20 the prank is based on the very rare use of London cockney rhyming slang. ; )
