I realise the reason I love watching your channel (as a Brit). It's because I'm genuinely interested in the cross-culture reactions and observations. Watching people 'react' to comedy or music from their own culture is pretty dull tbh, but there is real value and learning opportunities when it's people from the US watching the UK or vice-versa. Thanks for all the entertainment guys
Yeah that's what I enjoy, seeing how they don't get certain jokes due to the culture divide. I think it's easier for a Brit to understand American comedy than for them to understand ours.
I loved how on the third meet, our dude is all "yea, that's just a universal thing" , and then Mickey goes on and says "it's internationally known and respected" Like boom! confirmed.
I was going to write a comment saying pretty much the same thing, but no need to now as you’ve just nailed it. I think (sorry I don’t know you’re name) this guy would probably like Micky Flanagan, due to his down to earth observational style that we can all relate to
I'm in the UK and I put your video on when I get up and you put me in a good mood for the rest of the day. Micky Flanagan is hilarious and I love it that you enjoy him too. Hope you're both well. Keep up the good work 👌 xx
Suggestion: "Carrot in a Box" Jimmy Carr IN TEARS After Game with Sean Lock & Jon Richardson! | 8 Out of 10 Cats Bonus Suggestion (1min30 clip): Shooting Stars - Vic's Tattoo - Series 6 - Episode 1 Highlight - BBC Two Don't know if it's been mentioned here before but Shooting Stars is an insane quiz show by Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer that ran on and off from 1993 to 2011. It's almost impossible to explain, you'd have to see it to believe it. The ridiculous humour is probably not for everyone, but there's definitely some great clips.
@@AfterWorkReactions I hope you like them. I grew up on shows like Never Mind the Buzzcocks (it's a music quiz show probably be tough to find clips without copyrighted music) and Shooting Stars. People used to always say that American's would never understand the humour in Shooting Stars, but I'd be curious to find out.
@@AfterWorkReactions If you do like shooting stars, 'Vic Reeves big night out' was before this which was a stage show with same guys Bob and Jim. Alan Partidge i'd recommend. Coogan is a bit of a tit IRL but Partrdge was great.
Love these reactions. One thing about Micky Flanagan: he has an awesome laugh. Check out the episode where he was on Would I Lie To You. He's constantly laughing at Lee Mack's brilliance and it's infectious as hell.
Watch the Micky Flannagan talking about 'eat well for less' you might have to see a clip of eat well for less first but micky talking about the pople on it and greg wallace is hilarious
New suggestion for you - Ben Elton's police sitcom The Thin Blue Line with Rowan Atkinson. It ran for two series and is a brilliant parody of policing in the 90s and deals with issues of race and discrimination along the way. Absolutely brilliant.
Try Mickey’s routine about his date with an American woman whilst staying in New York, absolutely hilarious. I come from the same area in London as Mickey and his comedy has always resonated, especially his early stuff. Makes me homesick for the East End in the 70’s and 80’s.😄
6:15 "facebook, on a page called Channel 4". Channel 4, unsurprisingly perhaps, is a TV channel over here in the UK. They do have some decent stuff and are possibly the 3rd biggest free to air channels, behind BBC 1 and ITV
More Karl Pilkington please the last ones were brilliant as the rest of your videos are. You have barely scraped the icing on the cake when it comes to Karl
@@AfterWorkReactions Thankyou very much. It's nice to see you actually do listen to subscribers. You are a million times better than the obnoxious tw@ts ashtyn&jon. Please never change, your videos have kept us entertained during this lockdown and of course, keep up the good work!
And after just watching the video, i agree...you DO need to listen to the podcasts. Maybe not to please us but to entertain yourself. It did, at the time at least, get a Guinness world record for being the worlds no.1 downloaded podcast. It has gave me hours if not days of amusement with all the karl/ricky content available out there. I actually listen to the podcasts whenever I am doing chores around the house (so nearly everyday lol) honestly im hooked, i may need help haha
I rarely subscribe to people's personal channels, especially when they from another country (I from UK) but your charisma and your laughter is captivating, I wish you and your partner the very best of the seasonal wishes and please accept my best regards, mk
This was a great choice to react to. Please check out Rhod Gilbert. In particular his keeping of an anger management diary. He has a great accent. Any angry rant just sounds great in a Welsh accent.
I’ve been to see Micky Flanagan three times … he’s absolutely hilarious!!! And you’re reactions are great - I’m from England and it’s really interesting to see an American react to a comedian I would consider to have very English humour (and a strong accent too!)
An absolute pleasure watching these videos lately. So interesting to see how an American reacts to the English comedy. Great to see that you have a brilliant sense of humour. I would definitely recommend some Lee Evans. Another legend when it comes to comedy. Stay safe and keep hitting us with the brilliant content!
You should react to his going out or out out bit which is now a famous and common phrase here in the UK if you are going out or out out ( it will make more sense to what it means when you watch it)
I love how much you like British comedians it really restores my faith in the Americans as I never see Americans enjoying or “getting” the jokes but yeah, very good content 👌🏻
Love these reactions, hate reactions when the Americans don’t get the humour or hardly have a reaction, this guy has the best laugh gets it the humour and totally understands different cultures
After Work Reactions, your welcome big fan of both of u. Wld love to see you react to ua-cam.com/video/q6Ogp7-0A5Y/v-deo.html peter Kay heckled by strange noises they are absolutely hilarious.
Watching 'Bill Bailey's masterpice' might be fun, it was a very short stand up show that Bill Bailey performed in front of prince Charles and Prince Harry
Haven't heard from him for a while. First saw him as a team captain on 'Was it Something I Said?'. You ought to check-out Mitchell and Webb-Remain Indoors (all 4 clips), it's quite prescient, now...
Ben Elton, Jasper Carrot, Lee Evan's, Billy Connolly to name a few great British comedians are great to watch. Russell Howard and his mum in the USA is hilarious, especially at the dog hotel in New York
Should do "Ross Kemp Takes on Armed Men". He is a British actor turned documentary maker who is known for confronting the worst humans around the world. Keep it up though and stay safe!
I saw him live in concert last year and he really is that funny. He has his own FB page set up to watch more videos. But did you really have to make a video of yourself sitting watching another video? Micky Flanaghan would have a field day with you, my friend.
Yes more more more, love these reactions, if I can recommend anything it would be some more karl pilkington stuff, it’s endless and it’s all really great, if you haven’t I’d recommend the meet Karl pilkington video. He is also on some great animated videos of him being asked questions by Ricky Gervais and Steve merchant from their radio show which are hilarious, But anyways keep the reactions coming either way, they’re great.
After Work Reactions After Work Yeah just watched it bro, really love your reactions, love em cos I’ve enjoyed Karl’s comedy for years so it’s nice seeing someone else enjoy them just as much, also another one id personally recommend as one of my favourites is Karl pilkington - the hulk/Susanna heavy handed, it’s only short but just him ranting about his diy and his wife, really funny, but anyway keep up the videos you’ve earned a sub 😁
Dear fellow subscribers,, if we don't get more Karl Pilkington by the end of the week we all riot. Agreed? A social distance riot of course but hopefully it won't come to that as we all trust Josh and Tay! But after seeing this willing to extend the riot til Tuesday as we all love Micky ! Micky Flanagan may just be my favourite comedian.
