It's ridiculous that Ludger could even take them all on at once. Chromatus power is no joke, man.
What really gets me about this scene is that you're having this heartfelt moment with your brother with the blood of your slaughtered friends on your face

In my opinion, this is the most difficult boss battle in the game, or at least in the main story. This was the first battle in which I died, and had to retry around five times before finally winning. Long air combos and abusing Chromatus are pretty much essential for victory. You did way better than I did, Omega, well done!! This fight pretty much shows one of the reasons why Ludger is, in my opinion, the most powerful Tales of protagonist. Tales of Xillia 2's party seems to be the strongest party in the series (Lord of Spirits, Chromatus and three weapons, King of Rieze Maxia, spirit with control over time and space, etc.), and Ludger took out all eight members by HIMSELF!!
Ragna Sol They did make them less strong though, in my opinion. In Tales of Xillia, I felt as if they were simply OP... Like, with Elize and her healing, and well.... enough said... Elize and her healing -- no, just Elize herself was a cheat. xD

I can't decide which part of that is more painful; seeing how viciously Ludger turns on the party, or seeing the aftermath, knowing everything is effectively doomed, unless, during Bisley's wish, certain things happen in a way that Julius survives. Either way, Ludger is guilty of murdering the King and Prime minister of Rieze Maxia, along with everyone else, even Elize. Milla and Muzet are no doubt forced back to the spirit realm, but in the end, even if Bisley succeeds in this way, the spirits destroying the fractured dimensions, Ludger will live the rest of his life as a broken man, if not being executed.
he's basically victor, living on the outskirts of town in that dimension no one figured out who killed them so the same would apply basically i think this is how ludger became victor he refused to kill his bro and became this
gbdeck200 Nope. Victor already killed Julius, but not for a soul bridge. He killed him for more power/deceiving him and then his father, Bisley, afterwards to become the ultimate chromatus bearer. This is known because the title you get for killing Victor is "ultimate chromatus bearer" which is passed down after killing the last one. Well, that and he outright tells you he killed his brother and father to obtain that power.
Victor killed everyone because Bisley wanted to use Elle to pass origin's trial and Jude, Milla, etc. wanted to use Elle as a bargaining tool. So Victor flipped shit and killed them all.
For them to execute Ludger for killing Gaius, they'd first actually need to be ABLE to kill him... and he, for all intents and purposes, just ascended to a level where he KILLED Jude and Gaius at the same time.
Yes, I agree. Ludger is always close to his brother, and it's understandable. Julius is the only one who raised and did everything to make him happy. This game makes Ludger so suffer, but then, I guess they are telling us that not every hero comes back alive or with fame and glory. And what makes me more sad is, nobody knows Ludger's sacrifice to save the world (except his friends).

Correct me if I am wrong, but If you follow this ending you pretty much let Bisley get his wish. So Julius is saved, Elle is sacrificed and the spirit's are enslaved?
I love this ending because you get to be the game's Alvin. The traitor. So, they wanted me to kill my brother huh? Now, I guess it's time to slaughter the xillia 1 group~!
Oh yes, and the satisfaction of killing Alvin. He got what he deserved thanks to all that frustration and rage he gave to me in Xillia 1 (though one of the reasons I do like Alvin is because he has the ability to make me feel that way no other character could make me scream that much). Love this ending
You know ludger is op when he slaughters a whole tales cast including the final boss of the first game and someone who is basically the equivalent of a god. This would actually be one of my favourite endings in the series if it wasn’t for elize. I have to much of a soft spot for that kid. It is not even that i hate the xillia cast (there actually one of my favourites.) it is just to me such a potent ending for a series that is for the most part fairly light hearted. Though I will say xillia 2 was one of the if not the most somber title in the series
Damn! Glad you showed this Ending first just to get it out of the way and to show one of the endings that can be triggered in this game. Now I feel sorry for him. (Not to mention that at the time I kinda had my music playing over it so I won't here the audio since I know my heart will sink-in by the outcome of this.) Basically, Ludger is going down the same but different & similar scenario as his Future & Fractured Version of him after going to far and killing Julius. Along with Jude, Milla, Alivn, Rowen, Elize, Leia, Gaius, & Muzet. With all the bad choices and not doing the Character Stories before continuing the Main Story, and disrespecting everyone, including Nova. he now has gone berserk, Insane, & even in anger of corruption. Even Nova and even everyone around sees him as a monster too. And all because of Ludger's strong bond and care & his refusal to kill Julius and save him from becoming a Catalyst. Yo this Bad Route Boss Fight was also tense. All your allies fighting Ludger to use him a Soul Bridge and how it hard all of them are. Especially in groups. As interested this boss was, it's still bad and sad all around. Glad you should this first for all of us to see what happens if you keep pleading for a way to save Julius to no avail. I will admit though. At the start before the actual 1 Vs All (10:19), it was actually fun seeing. Especially when you're trying to get a fight scene reference for a Fanfic or Fan Animation in 3D. They all did an Excellent Job on that! Good for the creators!
It would´ve been more impacting if we could at least see one hand of a character with some drops of blood. This game has been kinda graphic with the corpses in the train at the beginning and sort of it. But oh well, with the idea of Ludger killing them all is impacting enough XD
I felt a part of my soul breaking apart from each scene and character death. Its too damn much for me to take man.............too.......damn.......much!! :'(:'(:'(:'(:'(:'(:'(
Yeah, I would never have thought of that. I basically just blocked and got in tiny hits while running around to recharge chromatus. And then raeged if I didn't save a full chromatus for Gaius.
Ludger really is a monster! I guess this game not only have won the trophy for the darkest story and likely highest casualty count ever! But also for the strongest and most powerful Main Protagonist of all time! Remember! The guy only accessed Chromatus Level 3 when he slaughtered them! The only thing which is can defeat Ludger is if multiple superbosses in this case post-game final bosses jump him at once. Tales of Series are usually only know for giving once one hardcore boss at Post-Game at once the whole party have to beat. Throwing five to six and that is guarenteed end. But I suppose we will see when Tales of Arise comes in 2020 If I remember the order for Cameo Appearences in Tales of games. In Berseria the last cameos were Jude and Milla from Xillia so the next one/ones to appear in Arise should be Ludger Kresnik. I guess we will see if the two new main characters can defeat him without him getting nerfed that will be... quite interesting.
It was dark but not the way I expected. I even imagined I'll see the bodies in the typical anime-style (just paning over the bodies, no showing the faces, - heck, I even imagined I would see Milla and Muzet bodies dissintegrating or some shit - but oh well). In a symbolic sence its pretty dark, but not in a graphical way, that would have been 100x darker and twisted.
Ok so just to clarify, Ludger just murdered everybody from the party, correct? Also, thanks for uploading the bad ending, I wanted to know what was going on in English when I watched your Japanese playthrough!

Correct me if I am wrong, but If you follow this ending you pretty much let Bisley get his wish. So Julius is saved, Elle is sacrificed and the spirit's are enslaved?
Except Julius is becoming a catalyst so he is in trouble either way.
Kate S yeah but elle would become a catalyst right? bisley would get his wish since ludger did in the "normal" and "true" endings
Nope Julius dies lol
@@eliajshdjddjHe would live longer since he's sacrificed her for his brother but they would die once things are settled or if he dies to quickly.
@@hungerxhunger2548 doubt that. This ending is so out of character anyway
At...least you didn't destroy Elize with Form Destroyer this time...**cough** Still a monster. **cough**
Sonic260 Ah i remember that. Truly overkill
I love this ending because you get to be the game's Alvin. The traitor. So, they wanted me to kill my brother huh? Now, I guess it's time to slaughter the xillia 1 group~!
yah kill thim all love this ending the best 👍
Oh yes, and the satisfaction of killing Alvin. He got what he deserved thanks to all that frustration and rage he gave to me in Xillia 1 (though one of the reasons I do like Alvin is because he has the ability to make me feel that way no other character could make me scream that much). Love this ending
@@iva-jy2dj Terrible take
Holy crap did ludger really just...
God damn
This ending was so utterly depressing .... I wouldn't be able to handle going through with it
***** Same that's why i UA-camd it lol. This ending was twisted.
Your style of gameplay is simply perfect you have my respect
I physically cannot listen to elize cry out in pain in this battle. I literally started crying
I've been seeing this video for the past 4 years evey now and then and I only just noticed 17:16 there was a baby
I didn't even know this was possible!
Its like oMega is the lord of tales here...those skills are unbelievable.
Damn! Glad you showed this Ending first just to get it out of the way and to show one of the endings that can be triggered in this game. Now I feel sorry for him. (Not to mention that at the time I kinda had my music playing over it so I won't here the audio since I know my heart will sink-in by the outcome of this.)
Basically, Ludger is going down the same but different & similar scenario as his Future & Fractured Version of him after going to far and killing Julius.
Best ending in any game ever.
Never will trigger this ending. Screw the trophies, a tales game should not end like this. I want my happy ending!
***** Sometimes you find the best treasures in a tragic event/life.
this game has no happy endings
This is really dark.
Best ending by far
+Jimmy Chongo to me its horrfiying
yup, best ending
good ending is there something f@#$#@g wrong with u
+ender gamer Yep
Ikr
Happy 10th anniversary TOX2 T-T This might be the bad ending but it is my favourite ending.
Slaughter the weak AHAHAHHA
It would´ve been more impacting if we could at least see one hand of a character with some drops of blood. This game has been kinda graphic with the corpses in the train at the beginning and sort of it. But oh well, with the idea of Ludger killing them all is impacting enough XD
I felt a part of my soul breaking apart from each scene and character death. Its too damn much for me to take man.............too.......damn.......much!!
:'(:'(:'(:'(:'(:'(:'(
Me who slaughtered them all
WHO IS THE MAIN CHARACTER NOW PUNKS!!
Nice to know that the game has NO IDEA WHAT TO DO IF YOU GO AIRBORNE :O
Yeah, I would never have thought of that. I basically just blocked and got in tiny hits while running around to recharge chromatus. And then raeged if I didn't save a full chromatus for Gaius.
hell this is one bad ending that I won't regret having. saving ur family is the same as saving the world.
i agree 👍
Well, by doing this, he doomed the world so not really.
would you rather spend time in a world where your family doesn't exist?
No Name He didn't doom it. Bisley made his wish, Elle was sacrificed which probably means Julius was cured and the spirits are now enslaved.
@@superbeaner4428 yeah but he is fighting that guy now and since they didn't show up to fight him I assume the fight was longer than usual.
It seems like every dark game I have played has this subtle dark pink/purple shade to the atmosphere.
Just like his other dimensional counterpart. Ludger is able and probably destined to kill the entire party of he so chooses.
I guess we will see if the two new main characters can defeat him without him getting nerfed that will be... quite interesting.
damn bro those combos are amazing
Rollo is like dammmmmm
It was dark but not the way I expected. I even imagined I'll see the bodies in the typical anime-style (just paning over the bodies, no showing the faces, - heck, I even imagined I would see Milla and Muzet bodies dissintegrating or some shit - but oh well). In a symbolic sence its pretty dark, but not in a graphical way, that would have been 100x darker and twisted.
I wonder what Chronos and Bisley would've said to this
@4:11 is how I sound on the porcelain throne
Hell of a way to lighten the mood. I laughed my ass off.
Post the good ending already so these feels can go away Q.Q
The feels will never go away. I actually managed to cry during the True (Good) ending... and a tales game has never done that to me.
I got this ending on the first try....Jesus....It really gotten me fucked up badly. But, beautiful.
This ending is quite tragic for someone who betrays his own team
14:50
Nice combo.
Really can't imagine how gore it is considering ludger uses hammer, twin daggers and guns at the same time
Elise :(
Okay but the citizens just watched the murder of eight people lol.
Idk if it was just me, but for the first half of the battle it seemed that leia was seriously trying to kill you xD
hearing you beat up elize just made my heart shatter. :(
Ok so just to clarify, Ludger just murdered everybody from the party, correct? Also, thanks for uploading the bad ending, I wanted to know what was going on in English when I watched your Japanese playthrough!
