Hope you find this video helpful, myself I haven't had any injuries from guitar playing but have had so many other injuries (currently still healing from scar tissue being removed from my eye) past injuries I've had include torn ligaments in both wrists, fractured finger, torn rotator in both shoulders, tendonitis 2x in elbow, (plus many more) So if my technique isn't good I feel it pretty quickly. If you've had injuries or tips leave a comment & give your experience. Thanks for watching please like & subscribe or join me on Patreon (link in description) 👍

Good info and reminder to pay attention to how my arm/wrist/hand is feeling at all times. I have a pretty good habit (I think) of immediately stopping the moment I feel anything that could be called "pain". It's easy to get into a zone during playing/practicing and forget about good form. Thanks!

I'm pretty good about not pushing through pain on guitar but I've injured myself a couple times doing home improvement projects because I wanted to finish the job & ignored pain. Thanks for watching/commenting 👍

I'm left handed but learned to play right handed cuz that's what my grade school friend showed me. There were only right handed guitars around and no left handed pianos. Right off I'm all screwed up. Broke my left wrist twice skateboarding. Left middle finger cut off and reattached by the best neurosurgeon on the planet. Never thought I would play again until my best friend showed me a video of Django Reinhardt. I can now play with all fingers and can flip anyone off with along with the best of em. That tension thing you talk about is really important to be concious of. It really does work. ... when I'm trying new fingerings and for instance when my brain wants too lift my pinky but stays planted and my ring finger comes off the fretboard instead. It's like muscle memory that needs to be reversed. Best medication is Painkiller...Judas Priest! 🤘

I'm glad you got use of your finger back, that's enough to give any guitarist nightmares. For me Django & Jason Becker are the 2 that I draw inspiration from if I get hurt or feel like giving up on something. 🤘
