      @@BionAvastar3000 thank you and you’re welcome. Regarding washing your hair in warm water causing yellowing, I would say that’s absolutely a myth. I wash my hair in hot water and most people I know also wash in hot water. The only way that water is going to discolor your hair is if it is loaded with minerals. Heat damage is going to occur with tools that are direct heat tools reaching over 365°. My recommendation for avoiding heat damage is to use your hairdryer below 200° and any of your flat irons or curling irons should be below 365° and as low as you can possibly go. The only way hot water would be damaging your hair is if you were showering above 200° and nobody can do that.

    Hi Joli I still haven’t used your QuickSilverHair kit yet so it may be all I need to help resolve my issue. My hair for months has been looking like you described as champagne color. It doesn’t look yellow but more like sand. I have been and still am recovering from multiple broken bones in my left toes,foot ankle and leg. I just got out of the hospital and months in rehabilitation center. So I could not wash my hair. I know yucky. I’m wearing a leg boot still home recovering. I’m not certain if I have hard water but I think so. I’m going to try your products once I’m more able. Just showering and washing my hair is difficult. I do use Seen but had been using medicated shampoo before all this happened. I also noticed that a product I was using as a conditioner shampoo the kind that doesn’t lather at all. Has a light very pink tinge. I just noticed the color and immediately stopped using it and have only been using seen. I had been using the other brand since I ditched the dye in 2015 and had beautiful white and dark similar to yours. My hair is approximately your length. Can you recommend anything other than just giving seen a try on its own no other products and hopefully it over time will help. If after using your products the QickSilveHair clay mask and nothing works I suppose I should buy a consultation with you. Because having beautiful long natural silver hair is sad when it looks dirty all the time. Thank you for reading this entire book. Stay blessed. And I sure hope you’re feeling well and the shoulder is still healing ❤️‍🩹

      After looking more closely with better lighting that shampoo conditioner has a more salmon color. If that caused my discoloration am I stuck with it?

    • @QuickSilverHair
      @QuickSilverHair 2 дні тому

      @@brendaLynn1234 I would recommend continuing to use the Seen products alone and see how well they help resolve some. With your product that was a pink color. It’s possible that the QuickSilverHair clay will actually do the trick in helping to remove some of that staining depending on what that color is coming from. You can find out about your water by doing an Internet search for your city plus the words water hardness. All local water authorities published the data on the water or you can call your water department and ask them how hard the water is. Another way to tell is if you have any calcification around your faucets and showerhead. If you continue to have issues that you can’t seem to resolve a consultation would probably be the best option. I think focusing on healing and getting better is really important for you right now, take it easy and get well. I am still in the healing process and learning to live with some of the issues that my shoulder will likely have for the rest of my life, but it is so much better since I had it repaired. I always use the Seen shampoo (love it!) but I find the Seen deeper conditioner just doesn’t give me enough slip to detangle so I add some Jessicurl Too Shea to it. I recently tried the LUS brand black label deep condition & repair as my rinse out and it feels more conditioning. I have soft water and I don’t use a lot of product, usually just a leave in, Seen Curly Cream, no gel and the Seen Magic Serum. Still, my hair has been dry and a bit frizzy lately and I realized I hadn’t clarified and deep conditioned in almost 4 months. I usually use Curls Blueberry Bliss as my leave in and it does have silk amino acids, so maybe protein buildup? Yesterday I used a pretty strong clarifying shampoo (bumble & bumble Sunday shampoo) and deep conditioned with the Bounce Curl Aryuvedic Deep Conditioner for 30 minutes and the difference is amazing. Soft! Shiny! Wavy! I said to my husband…when in doubt clarify and deep condition!

      @@tracyvision oh yes!! It’s like rebooting a computer, when it starts getting wonky, time for a clarifying and DC. @@ChillyWilly0810 hmm, interesting. Are you blow drying or heat styling? And do you use a microfiber towel? Also, if your hair has gotten the best out of the clay, for now switch bi-monthly, and use a deep conditioner with it like this Mielle DC: amzn.to/40NJNUg I have no issues with Aveda, I used to be a receptionist and sales person in an Aveda salon. I'm a wool spinner so I need to defend my craft and fiber of choice. I've only done one demonstration at the fair because of a couple people stopped and were furious with me. One lady actually yelled at said wool wasn't ethically harvested! His crazy woman actually thought sheep are killed for the wool. Sheep need be sheared in the spring or the animals are miserable. Look up Dollie the lost merino, and how being lost nearly killed her! Many people do eat mutton so the animal is never wasted. 4H kids often learn to care for livestock with baby goats or sheep. Yes they are sold at the fair, but are usually sweetly donated back to the child. So being a sheep to shawl spinner and knitter, I can say it is definitely sustainable. My sisters and I wore wool sweaters my dad and grandpa wore. A nice Woolrich sweater made between 70s to 90s still look great! I've knitted literally hundreds of socks. I have knitted hockey socks so sturdy that they went through 4 kids. I have quit buying from companies for excluding wool garments. Being from farm country and having FFA children,I can swear to you that ranchers and farmers care for their animals. If you could see little kids leading those spring born animals on a leash daily, you could change your mind. Goats eat down grasses and can prevent acres of grass fires. I'd rather have 2 goats mow my field than the neighbor's big equipment. I'm up by the Canadian border so I wear wool 9 months a year. My daughters wore wool dresses ice skating and to church. Now cotton can be sketchy. It is often spun on a Charka in India for pennis a day. I've seen a picture of Ghandi spinning cotton on one.😢 The thing I worry about the most is the dyes and chemicals used to soften fabric. Lye mercerizes fabrics and wool. Yikes! Remember that when you pick up a shiny cotton. I try to find UA-cam videos on fabric processing. I'm wondering if our po.yester bras are contributing to breast cancer. That is something I intend to start making mine with historical patterns and under processed cotton. Cheers! I don't mean to offend anyone, but wool is Wonderful!!!! Haha. Always Christmas gifts are knitted all year long.

      @@cherrie1890 I absolutely hear you. I am also a knitter and understand that when you are making it yourself that is the most sustainable practice. What I’m talking about in this video is more on a large scale manufacturing process. When the companies are making thousands of garments cheap and calling it sustainable…it’s fishy. And when said company, is doing it in China and sending to the U.S. direct one garment at a time…not sustainable. For me, I would consider most any natural fiber more sustainable than synthetics. There are ramifications one way or the other to large scale production, that’s what I’m hinting at more than anything else. Thank you for sharing and watching. Keep knitting.

    I agree that our natural hair color goes best with our skin and eye color. I have been letting my silvers grow out for 1 year now. I am using the dye strip technique which is helping the hair transition in a subtle way. I needed that for myself to get used to seeing the change. But I really like the way it's looking with my grays peeking through more and more now. It looks like highlights. I don't know when I will start to part my hair on the other side yet. I may want to wait awhile since most of my whiter hairs are in the front. Something I am noticing is that older women with obviously dyed hair are looking dated to me. So, to me, letting the silvers show is looking more modern and up to date. Thank you for bringing your thoughts and wisdom to this space!

    I started graying at 47 and discovered I was allergic to hair dye. So I let it grow and do its thing. The gray came in just in the front of my head around my face, so it framed my face nicely. After the grey grew down to my chin, I opted for a shorter cut and then people thought I'd gotten it dyed that way on purpose. Slowly, the gray started working its way toward the back of my head. I asked once about getting some grey highlights/low lights to get rid of some of the brown at the back of my head and the stylist refused. She told me people paid good money to get what I already had. lol! I still have some brown hair underneath and I'm 62. It's interesting, but not bothersome at all. What I love about it is that it's a white grey in the front and a slate grey in the back. Also, the grey has wave to it so now I get to play with and learn about wavy/curly hair, which I always wanted! I'm having a wonderful time! It's a different journey for every woman. My mom colored her hair well into her eighties (blond) and she looked so washed out. Once she decided to ditch the dye, she grew a headful of beautiful slate grey hair and it was perfect on her. She wished she'd let it grow out decades sooner. I'm so glad I did.

    As a half-grownout silver swan I question why putting dye on hair has become so normalised as a work requirement. You wouldn't expect someone to change their skincolour to stay in employment. Shouldn't the same principles apply to hair? Is this also a requirement for men? Once you view it from the other,silver, side of the coin the whole thing seems ridiculous.

    I had, initially, considered getting the Malibu C for hard water and using it on some brassy areas I've had difficulty getting rid of. After reading the negative reviews on Amazon and watching your video, I will be passing on it. There are a couple of reviews that make the product on Amazon, being authetic, questionable. There are a couple of reviews from people who used it in the past. They said the product they received is not the correct color and suds up like shampoo, burns, etc. Another woman claimed it caused chemical burns to her scalp and hands. There are several 5 star reviews from the UK saying their hair extensions turned orangy/ pink on vacation and that was the only thing that removed it. I suspect several of those are the same person just using different screennames because theyre to similar not to be suspicious. 🙄 Thankfully, I won't be trying it to find out.
