21 years ago, when I had my daughter, for no apparent reason, I started calling her mugwort as a nickname. At the time, I knew nothing of herbs, nor what mugwort was used for. It just felt right. I still call her "Muggs" to this day.
My Uncle nicknamed me Mugwort at two days old! He was 12 years old and my 1st "best friend". I have been known in my family as Muggs for almost 59 years!
Thank you Terri. It was good to see this clip having already read your blog post on Mugwort. This is a herb I haven't used yet, but you are sparking my interest in it.
Lovely informative video and blog Terri, ty. I have cut a big bunch of mine to dry for decoration around the house. I hope you're ok there in the Clifden flooding!x
Thanks Wendy. We are all fine being 6 miles away. It was an unexpected flash flooding following torrential rain. The places affected were houses on a flood plain and some close to the river. Very sad for those people. Hope you are well.
Lovely:). thank you for be-ing, with much appreciation from Vancouver Island. ps. Hmmm, feelin' the Love and soaking in it as per each of your vids. xo
Thanks for the information regarding Mugwort Terry not a herb I have in my garden. Stunning though, we too here in Tasamania have been blown about by the wind, seems to be always around the equinoxes and the solistice.
Thank you Susan, the chickens are doing fine! I let them out of their run thinking that they could free-range - we do this every year but had to put them back in for another little while as they ate all the chard! Thanks for thinking of them.
hello Thankyou for you're wonderful videos I'm new to herbs an i have the most beautiful mugwort in my garden i harvested on the full moon what i wish to know the flowers are still buds its not flowered yet can i use them once dried for tea? for sage? for smoking? i have also left some mugwort so i can experience it in full bloom the flowers once the flowers open how can i use these? Thankyou x
I have been looking for mugwort everywhere I went around Dublin. Cannot find it anywhere. I've seen some once, by the road driving back from Wicklow but obviously I wasn't going to pick it from there 🤷♀️
Depends on the issues. There are lots of herbs that help women, particularly the nervines such as Chamomile, Lemon Balm, Passiflora, St. John's Wort. Sage can help with hot flushes - as I say there are lots of herbs but you would need to see a herbalist for a formula for YOU rather than for the menopause. A herbalist will treat YOU not the symptoms.
My beautiful lady, you should have a basket.😊 For all these wonderful things you are collecting
Mugwort is such a fabulous old name.

Really enjoy your videos...how are your chickens doing? Love from Oregon

Artemisia is said to have anti-inflammatory,antioxidant. antifungal, and antimicrobial properties, right?
That's right. There are several different Artemesias - Wormwood for example - they would have varying different properties.

I will be doing another video on Mugwort quite soon
I have a patch of Mugwort growing in my garden too! It’s one of my favourites and also grows everywhere in my area along with Wormwood!
I love the way those two are so similar but so different.
Danu's Irish Herb Garden yes! Love the silvery grey leaves of Wormwood!
I have been looking for mugwort everywhere I went around Dublin. Cannot find it anywhere. I've seen some once, by the road driving back from Wicklow but obviously I wasn't going to pick it from there 🤷♀️
Hope you can find some.
In TCM this is Moxa, its moves stagnation in the channel meridians.
That's right! Plants are so giving and provide so many services for us.
