@@christopherastbury-mg2iz I mostly used 55x7 mm, but on the edge where the curve is, I used 45x7 mm. You could go even smaller at the curve to create a more round edge. The challenge is to find slats that are perfectly straight 😅

Swanky roof! Looks great. you can put nice flexible LED strips on them for ambiance lighting. Make it an RGB strip, install a bar, boom box, and you're ready to throw a party in there!

I agree! Though I'm still pretty proud about the first build 🙃 There is insulation on the ceiling. It's the black stuff you see 😎

Just discovered your channel recently and am still catching up on episodes. Just wondering why you went to the trouble of making a wooden ceiling and not just have the standard Defender ceiling?
Welcome and good question 😎 The reason is that the original Defender ceiling is "much" lower than the wooden ceiling, which is mounted almost directly to the Defender's roof. That's why.
