The plan has always been to convert my Defender 110 into a camper that we can take off road, off grid and on big road trips. BUT I never really had the motivation or need to get started, until we decided to do a week in Scotland completing the NC500.
Obviously I decided to do this about 4 days before we actually left, so this video is me, very stressed, trying to convert a bare shell essentially into my first camper build.

I did this a few years back. One good addition was rear view mirror camera. Also night hearter.

All you should buy cheap Drift cars and do some drift days. Andy’s Designs are so good.

So glad this has come out. Bought a 110 and binged these vids waiting for it. Is a 1989 200tdi utility so a 5 door but got the roof tent and awning on it looking forward to some adventures!

not sure if you mentioned it but id recommend getting a carbon monoxide detector, especially if you're have a diesel heater, would 100% be worth getting a vent too, im sure you can get a vent for the sliding rear windows that just slots into the window gap and you shut the window on it and it has grill.

A quick lesson on hard drives and not losing important data again, I'm sure you did your own research, not trying to be condescending, but I worked for a data recovery company for a bit so I know some of the tricks.
Firstly, any drive you're regularly moving around (especially external hard drives), absolutely needs to be solid state IMO, if it's got a spinning mechanical hard drive inside they're very sensitive to vibration and shock even when not powered on, so an external hdd that's regularly moved around is a recipe for data disaster. SSD's don't suffer from this, although they're not invincible, they're much better suited as external drives that are moved around a lot.
Also if you do find your files corrupted, DO NOT try and recover them yourself with free tools on the internet or whatever, if it's because of a hardware problem I'd give you less than a 1% chance of succeeding in getting that data off the drive and if you then send it off to a data recovery company after trying yourself, it will significantly reduce the chances that the data can be recovered. Once a drive has corrupted files like that, spinning the drive up more and trying to read/write data to it will only corrupt more. The exception to this is if the files are just a nice to have and not mission critical.
Great videos regardless, just gutted we lost out on two to a drive failure!

The mirror’s definitely need to be body colour, wing stays red also, but the cupra lurking in the back tho 👌👌

I think silver wheels on that TTRS, silver mirror caps, Chrome badge, leave the spoiler red.

Please get yourself a cheap computer and put 4 drives in it and make a NAS so when you data dump videos 2 drives can fail before you loose anything

I may be l8 for some soxs but boy do you need to make a trip to go see ya boy Lz or as you say Lzed
for your bed piece instead of messing about with the legs underneath just screw a 2"x 1" batten under your cupboards to support the bed base looking at it it should fit about 18mm under your hinges for the doors then just slip your bed base onto it , if you want to tidy the joints up between edges ie roof and walls & the roof and your cabin headlining just glue or pin some of the rope you used for your swinging laptop table or some thicker rope if needed . just a few ideas for you , have you fitted a battery to battery charger which charges your leisure battery as you drive it may be a split charger for your alternator type ?

Mick needs to wrap the top of the spoiler in a nice shiny silver, highlight the spoiler while not taking away from the car (as you’ll be removing all the black, thank fuck 🤣)

Gloss black roof and spoiler and mirrors is the look i always go for!
I'd say tidy up and stain the wall panels you aren't keen on then put up a picture and a couple little shelves with elastic to stop it falling. Perfect place for enamel mugs etc save you space underneath and proper home vibes. The tent and inner bed combo is perfect for 3/4 of you going to a drift event over night.
