Completely correct. She brings an air of intelligence, thoughfullness and culture to the proceedings, apart from being beautriful. A much better edition, funny enough but also intelligent, and without the shouting over one another that marrs the proceedings quite often.

The cat story was ridiculed because of the ridiculous slant put on it . But I guess the real story is that many native marsupials and birds are now on the brink of extinction . Why ? House cats and cats that have gone feral in Australia are ultra efficient killing machines who unlike most other animals kill for the sheer pleasure more than a need to survive .

Emma Webb is just adorable! Aviator to me is a term I associate with the American armed forces and generally implies an aircrew member, whereas Airman or woman is a member of the RAF and not necessarily part of the flying personnel.

The USN use the term "Aviator", because it is more descriptive than "Pilot" since Aviators land on aircraft carriers which is well hard, whereas "PIlots" merely use airfields!
Aviator is what the US Navy and Marines historically called their pilots.

Charles should remember that other countries in Europe were involved. Has the UK ever had an apology from Rome on their enslavement of England? No of course not. He should also know that the people that started the slave trade were the Chieftains of that area - in other words the relevant African countries are at fault at starting it! As a Bond fan I'd like to tell Flintoff that I've seen all Moore's films multiple times and he hasn’t a hairy back! Maybe it's Connery he's thinking of! He didn’t "mount" anyone either! Flintoff is a jerk!
Agree, and I think Moore was an excellent Bond and he was a fantastic human being as well, a man that Flintoff couldn't hold a candle to in any regard.

Aircrafts man/woman is an entry level rank. Regardless of whether the recruit is in an airborne trade or not. Aviator as a term is bloody ridiculous as it iplies an airborne trade.

I always understood the terms 'Airman/Airwoman' to be the RAF equivalent of 'Private' in the Army and 'Seaman' in the Navy.
An 'Aviator' is surely Flying Aircrew.
Delighted to point out that the term AVIATOR is just as 'sexist' as AIRMAN. A female flyer is known as an AVIATRIX. Of course one wouldn't expect the RAF to be aware of this !
Very few RAF personnel are Aviators. Cleaning the bogs in the Officers Mess doesn't make you an Aviator.

My cat Dusk is the feline equivalent of Attila the Hun. Many mice, we run around the house trying to catch them, Dusk is always the one who does, dragonflies often half alive wings missing, frogs, birds, flies, moths. Often she’ll leave bits on display, a foot or a tail, like a serial killer’s trophy.

Australians have banned cats from outside for years they have to be in an enclosed run when they are in the garden, according to the powers that be cats become feral and kill birds and small mammals so some councils ban them.
I think we should let them out and put humans in.
Using Aviator is wrong because not all the recrutes will become pilots, so thats plankish in it's self, the RAF should know the correct usage of a word like aviator.
Correct but I would add that the word Aviator is male and Aviatrix is female so they are still wrong.

Cats. I love and adore cats BUT they kill wildlife. Ancient Egyptians had the cat goddess, Bast, mainly because she protected their grain stores from mice, cats were much more than pets in those days. In Australia, domestic pet cats, an introduced species, have already destroyed many native species of flightless birds and ones who generally inhabit low-hanging branches. Cats are amazing, brilliant survivors and can adapt well to almost any environment, from a city slum in Moscow to a desert in Australia but I in this case, think local, rare species take priority. It can be managed by neutering feral cats.
My plank of the week goes to JHB who talks the big-un on twitter and on her show but when she as Sajid Javid on the phone she just throws soft ball questions at him then goes on to say to cover her back that she ain't got time to ask him the important questions.
How about just ask the important questions in the allocated time you have, just a thought.

Don't be ashamed of your forebears for protecting the native wildlife which in many cases are near extinction from cats who have gone feral and slaughtered native animals who were not equipped to defend themselves from introduced species and our european colonisation .
To be fair to Australia vis-a-vis cats, there are a large number of small animals which are at risk and very attractive to cats in hunting mode so it is not entirely unreasonable of them to be concerned. Cats can be very happy indoors, and it is more common to take cats outside on a lead in the US and Canada to have adventures and enrich their lives, than it is in the UK.
Totally agree! Just watched Mike's interview with Adin Lang and although Mike is usually my voice of sanity, he was a plank, in fact an uber plank - rude and wouldn't let the guy talk. It's TALK radio ffs. Thought Adin was calm and reasoned . So my plank for nex t week is Mike for being a door handle.

Airman/Airwoman is a rank epitaph and the lowest rank at that, aviator suggests someone who flies an aircraft, but only officers do that and they are of a considerable higher rank!
I'm sorry. The RAF has ALWAYS had plenty of women. I served for 12 years and virtually all our staff in the admin, parachute and Air Traffic departments were female. PLUS.... ALL RAF personnel were referred to as Airmen or Airwomen, not just the flyers.
