straight to the point no bs tutorial. some guys making 15-min+ video and still manage to make it unwatchable...
Thank you! Hopefully you read some of the comments, there are ways to avoid putting your mouth on a petroleum based product, but in a pinch…my lungs make a lot of compressed air 😂
Thank you for making this tutorial easy to follow!! I followed your instructions and my 2010 Prius 250K miles worked flawlessly!
I bet your Prius is happy to be clean!
The video was awesome. Thank you. Why didn't you change the internal filter of the injector?
Fire!!!🔥
Thanks for the video. +1 sub ❤
Excellent, thorough tutorial with the exception that you you forgot to show removing the air intake box apparatus. I got a glass jar and soaked my injectors in carb cleaner for about an hour. Unfortunately I didn't take off the upper o-rings beforehand and they disintegrated in the solution. But soaking the injectors for about an hour in the carb cleaner seemed to clean them up pretty good.
It’s a good idea to replace those o-rings anyway so at least you were sort of forced to 😂
Great video! Now I always read that the pump you hear upon opening the door was for the brakes. No?
You do also have a brake pump on the Prius so it’s likely you’re hearing both (one from the engine bay and one back near the back seats by the gas tank)
@@GirlieGarage thanks for the reply
Makes me feel like a fool but boy i want to take off that rentention bolt and inspect the fuel rail takes me about 90 minutes tire off EGR out all that.. maybe i dont have to but i still broke one and now the car is a paperweight till a used set gets here....ill try cleaning
You can wrap the end of the spray can straw with eletrical tape to fit snug in the hole, hold power to the injector, depress sprayer nozel. And bam no putting your mouth near things that contain petroleum distillate. You can get MS and other weird life problems from exposure to petroleum products.
Thank you, that is definitely a good tip
How do you disconnect the wiring harness @1:00? It's not as obvious as most other couplers. Thanks
Got it, just pry it up from the sides with a flathead screwdriver
You make it look easy but my fuel injector is stuck. Does your vehicle need an injector puller?
Which side is it stuck on? The engine side? If that’s the case, you’re going to replace the lower seals anyway, I would pry from the lower seal to get it to pop out
I wonder if it's worth doing on my car. I've never cleaned the injectors and I seriously doubt the previous owner did either.
Better fuel economy? Worth it!
@@GirlieGarage Better fuel economy? Say less.
