My daughters were 5 and 7 the first time I tried to play this. My youngest one was making some scowling faces as I blasted through it completely wrong. When I finished, she told me I was Fired... Fired... Fired! Great song. Thanks for the video!
Often wondered why Tull offered Tony Iommi the guitarist job. Watching this you can see how riff driven they were in 71. Thanks for this. Hope your keeping safe
There is something that is very hypnotic and mesmerizing about that t-shirt. I can't help but stare at the 3-D glasses while you are playing. Great cover by the way!
Man that was some 70's era dope guitar playing! I knew a chick whom was cross eyed and named Mary. Aside from the weird way she would look at you when well, let's just say enjoying one another she was beautiful and i used to think of this song when we were together. Anyway, very nice playing JJ. MT
Martin is touring with his own band which is awesome 👌 Next year he's doing a 50th Anniversary of Aqualung tour playing the entire album, catch it if you can, it'll be amazing!
Ian Anderson has addressed this many times. Tull never claimed that, the similarity if the chord structure was noticed by others and brought to Anderson's attention. The Eagles supported Tull for some dates where We Used to Know was played ( the Tull " original " ) so it's not impossible but Anderson isn't bothered in the slightest about it.
Would that happen to be an orange amp in the background? If so how do you like it? I'm looking for a new amp and have been looking at the 35rt so was just curious....
I have noticed that you play the bar chords with your index and pinky fingers as opposed to the index and ring finger. Is this a personal preference or a preferable way to play?
Holy cow ... what a great performance, JJ. Your playing on this *nearly reaches* the "Jaw-Drop" mark on the scale of coolness.
Most definitely !
Martin Barre is soooo underrated!
Completely
You better believe it !!!
Outstanding!!! Great song from a great album. Thanks. You are the best on You Tube.
Jethro Tull always good! Martin Barr was and incredible guitar player
buckinvt Ian Anderson made fun of Barre in interviews for being so “basic”. Ian always thought he was the smartest guy in the room.

Man Jethro Tull is just a great band!!
Bravo !! Great Tull Tune , catchy riff and just a Rock n Roll Classic , 🤘🏻
One of the most powerful riffs in rock God please bless me with a riff this 😎 kool someday
Saw them back in 76-77. Awesome concert :-)
i saw the same tour
You shot a load on that one. So much technical writing from JT! Good job and thank you!!
That riff at 1:23 (and throughout the song) is just classic Ian Anderson/Martin Barre. Love it 😍

Man
My college days relived !
Study music

Love Tull✌️♥️🇳🇿
Oh hell yes, Jethro Tull at the Fabulous Forum in 71 ish. Old English 800 and some other stuff I’m still burning off, I hope.
Nicely done . Thanks and all the best.
Another Exceptional Cover............................
Thxs James. Big influence on me as a young man. My first concert in 70 something 😆
Aqualung has a lot of gems
Kickass!!!! Thanks!
Jethro Tull - YES!!! 😎👍
Great playing. Great song
What a great song, and it looks like you had fun playing it!
Seven years since the PT channel version and just as much verve! Great job!
You show so beautifully how great Martin Barre is
Great song. Even better shirt! ;-)
The shirt? That's Sergei the meerkat ain't it? LOL!
Excellent
Epic job and great taste in music 👍
Awesome! 👍🏻
Nailed the Martin Barre Les Paul tone🔥💯
Excellent.
Love that les Paul!!! Great choice for this lesson!! Thanks!!
Hard rocking riffs from Martin Barre!
Awesome!!
Fun to watch that one JJ. Great playing.
Great 👍
So pumped you've done a Tull song!
Bravo!
Very cool 😎

Awesome job James!!
Super guitar cover 👌
Top notch
Nicely done JJ
Nice choice my man🎶‼️😊👍
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
U killed that shit!
James you rock ,why didn't you start a band like nervona....
I’ve started several bands, but fortunately, none were like Nirvana.
Martin Barre ❤
This is your song,🎙️🎬📻
Well done!
With Martin gone, maybe you can get a gig! Good job!
Martin is touring with his own band which is awesome 👌 Next year he's doing a 50th Anniversary of Aqualung tour playing the entire album, catch it if you can, it'll be amazing!
Aqualung and cross eyed Mary knew each other😂
As long as we have the Les Paul out.... 😄🙋🎼🏅
classic
👍👌😎
I didn’t realize you had two les Pauls.
OAN, jethro were underrated. I read once that they claim the Eagles ripped of hotel California from them.

Killer

Orange amps kick ass !
Dude how many guitars have you got?
so extra cool you even care bout this tune
Ambassador Bill. Chive on JJ.
I have noticed that you play the bar chords with your index and pinky fingers as opposed to the index and ring finger. Is this a personal preference or a preferable way to play?
Well, for me it's both. But I fret chords differently from a lot of other people.
Remember the Thick as a Brick cover with the leggy girl? Anyone?
Unless you mean the 10 year old boy I think you're referring to the cover of A Passion Play 😅
Chive on
tab....
Sorry, I don't use tabs. I just play by ear.
