Just a great band that a lot of people have seemed to have forgotten about.. It doesn't get much better than Paul Rodgers, and the accompanying band.. They were on top of the world at one time.. Wish they would reunite, and do a tour.. Thanks for the lesson, and memories...
Damn, I remember this episode. Never could have imagined it'd be resurrected for my educational purposes half a century later. Then again, never could have imagined me a half-century later. So on and so forth indeed. Thanks James!
Man to be able to sing like Paul Rodgers .., When he was in Free and his voice was a tad dirtier and slightly more raw, the ultimate rock and roll voice right there.
I saw Heart back in 1975-1976? I spoke with Roger Fisher, weird dude, great guitar work....Howard was a strange replacement. With Mick Ralph's health I wish Bad Co would call it a day, the bad was Paul Rogers and Mick. Thank you James! you have been helping this old guitar player remember many tunes that I use to play, a few of which I was playing wrong.
Great Job! Kind sir. I love visiting your channel when my Arthur is acting up*neck to arm:(.. I play with my eyes and ears vicariously through you my new friend:)
They burst out of the Swan Song gate and never left FM classic rock radio playlists. It’s been what, 46 years now? The inner sleeve of Mott the Hoople’s LP “The Hoople” had a shout out to their ex-guitarist saying “Mick Ralphs appears to be in bad company”.
Al Matulevich he should have had a couple ex-cons over. Then it could be the song bad company, on the album bad company, by the band bad company, played with bad company!

Hey James. Just bought my first Gibson Les Paul after owning a Strat & Tele for a year or so. The LP is brand new and hadn’t been really set up yet, but I’m finding it way harder to play than the Fenders. Do you notice a huge difference between your various guitars or does it not make a huge difference to you. I’m finding the LP’s fret height & string spacing throwing my intermediate fingers off.
I can't deal with some frets that are supposed to be medium jumbo because some are too wide and too tall, and some are not properly crowned correctly and have a wide/flat spot on top. I have a US Strat with low, thin frets and it is very easy to play...very little effort to get the correct sound. Your guitar may deserve a complete setup by a good guitar tech? Hope you find the solution!!!

Saw them on their first US tour. Swing Auditorium San Bernardino CA they opened for Edgar Winter. This was their first song played. Great show
Yes, Howard Leese, formerly of the rock band Heart. Rich Robinson was also in Bad Company (briefly) when Mick Ralphs was ill.
Good playin' right there...🎸👏
Thanks for the clinic

You Rock JJ
Great song, great cover. Thanks.

Bad Company on the album Bad Company by the band Bad Company

Akin to Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath on Black Sabbath
Al Matulevich he should have had a couple ex-cons over. Then it could be the song bad company, on the album bad company, by the band bad company, played with bad company!
. . . based on the 1972 movie, you guessed it, Bad Company
More cowbell baby!!!
Hi James, that shirt reminds me of Tony Braunagel from Kossoff's Back Street Crawler. :-)
Love your work! Been a fan for years going back to the privattricker days. Learned a lot of cool Stones songs from you ☝️🤘
Outstanding young man outstanding :-)
Nice work man, crammin this one for practice tomorrow, ha. Good feel man
Yeah,......great sound man
Do you think you could ever show us your pedalboard? It would be helpful for many of us beginners. Love your videos.
I don't use pedals, except for an occasional wah or phase shifter. There are some effects built into the amp (Peavey Vypyr 100).
Jesus, I am old as dirt lol I remember that song from highschool! Great content boss, thxs
Rock on!

nice vid was wondering what amp you are useing and any pedals also
Hey, great cover, Im trying to learn this song from watching you at 0.25 speed!! Do you happen to have a tab for that solo?
Sad to think "How Bout That" is 28 years ago! R. I. P Brian!
More cowbell baby!
Dig the shirt 👍
Very cool man. Great job
Great cover. How in the world is Bad Company not in the R&R HOF? If nothing else, Paul Rodgers HAS to be in there for his career
Great song. One of my best friends is Mick's 1st cousin. Music runs in the family.

If you are struggling with it after a strat then you really need a good setup. Well worth the money to get it done
matthew, might just be a matter of getting your fingers/sense memory used to the new feel

I bought a new Epi Les Paul and it's the same thing with me. I really need to get it setup by a professional, so I can't blame the guitar......
@@paulreilly5618 its worth the $50 setup, it will play like butter my gibson is faster and easier than strat!
Love the shirt.
Yes it's Howard. Mick Ralph's had a Stroke.
Oh man, hadn’t heard about that. What a shame.
I've got a fever! And the only prescription is more cowbell!
where can i get that more cowbell shirt???
Bad to the bone, yes you are J.J.
are you in rochester?
No, I moved from there in 1995.
I don't understand why Bad Company isn't in the RRHF. Is there a grudge issue with them?
how did you get the chords sounding so big? is it a volume thing?
Fender Tone Volume helps, but doing them as 5th chords is part of it, I think. Seymour Duncan 59 pickups, too. :)
What concert is this from?
Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert.
I notice you don't own an Ibanez. Do you just not like their sound ?
Is Mick still with us?
Yes, but it sounds like he won’t be playing again. Paralyzed on his left side, I think.
Mick Ralphs must have saved his ridiculous boots from Mott The Hoople for that Don Kirshner Bad Company appearance...stunningly feminine!
They're kind of flesh-colored, and it looks a little bit like he's wearing shorts.
As you do! Doesn’t everybody?! It isn’t a long way from that to dressing like Tim Curry as Frank N Furter!
@@jamesjames9275 Ha! It looks like he's wearing culottes with high heels. My mom, god rest her, would be envious AF
Yeah it's Howard. Mick had a stroke.
I have that tshirt lol
