Theory no1. സുന്ദരത്തിന്റെ ആത്മാവ് ജയിംസിന്റെ ശരീരത്തിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ചതാകാം. വണ്ടിയിൽ നിന്ന് ഇറങ്ങിയ james ന്റെ ശരീരത്തിൽ 2 വർഷമായി കാണാതെ പോയ അഥവാ മരിച്ച സുന്ദരത്തിന്റെ ആത്മാവ് കയറിക്കൂടുന്നു. Theory no:3 എല്ലാവരും ഉറങ്ങുമ്പോൾ james മനസ്സിൽ കാണുന്ന നാടകം ആണ് ഇതെങ്കിലോ. സിനിമയിൽ camera ഒരിക്കലും നീങ്ങുന്നില്ല.നാടകത്തിലേത് പോലെ static short ആണ് എല്ലാം.സിനിമയുടെ പോസ്റ്റർ പോലും നാടകത്തിന്റെ വേദി പോലെയാണ്. ആദ്യം വേളങ്കണ്ണിക്ക് ടൂർ വണ്ടി ആയിരുന്ന bus അവസാനം നാടക വണ്ടി ആയി ബോർഡ് ഒക്കെ വെച്ചു മാറുന്നതും കാണാം. തിരുക്കുറൽ എന്നത് നാടകത്തിന് ഇടാൻ പറ്റിയ പേരാണെന്ന് പറയുമ്പോൾ തന്നെ james ഒരു നടകക്കാരൻ ആണെന്ന് മനസ്സിലാക്കാം. ഉറക്കത്തിന് മുമ്പ് side seat ൽ ഇരുന്ന james എങ്ങനെ പെട്ടെന്ന് window seat ലേക്ക് മാറുന്നു എന്നതും ഉത്തരം തരാത്ത ചോദ്യമാണ്.
ഒരുപക്ഷെ ജെയിംസ് ഈ കാണാതെ പോയ സുന്ദരത്തെ എവിടെയെങ്കിലും വച്ച് കണ്ടുമുട്ടിയിട്ടുണ്ടാകാം അവിടെ വച്ച് സുന്ദരം തന്റെ നാടിനെ കുറിച്ചും വീട്ടുകാരെ കുറിച്ചും പറഞ്ഞ കാര്യങ്ങൾ ജെയിംസ്ന്റെ മനസ്സിൽ stuck ആവുകയും, ആ വഴി കടന്ന് പോയപ്പോൾ പെട്ടന്നുണ്ടായ ഒരു influenceൽ ജെയിംസ് സുന്ദരമായി മാറിയതും ആയിക്കൂടെ, ചുമ്മാ ഒന്ന് imagine ചെയ്തതാണ്

The movie is centered around two main characters, Sundaram and his mother. Here when every one was confused with a stranger the old mother recognised him as her son's soul. In the village she was the only one never got confused or complained. It is all about the abundant tie up between a mother and a son. Being a son for a mother for a short span of time makes the act of Pilgrimage worthful.

As a tamil audience I understood those old songs played in the background are exactly related to the particular scenes, "veedu varai uravu" the climax song we used to play in funeral, which exactly matches when sundaram's soul taking off and James returning from the village.
