I wish to clarify some facts from the speech. Homo sapiens sapiens is a subspecies of the species Homo sapiens. The Homo sapiens had another sub species called Homo sapiens idaltu, which is now extinct. Two other sub species are also suggested in recent research, the Denisova hominin and Red Deer Cave People, but the status both as a Homo species or a Homo Sapien sub species is yet to be settled.
The species Homo sapiens belong to the genus Homo, which in turn is derived from the genus Australopithecus. Homo has several species, at least 12 from the last count - Homo habilis, Homo erectus, Homo rudolfensis, Homo gautengensis, Homo ergaster, Homo antecessor, Homo cepranensis, Homo heidelbergensis, Homo neanderthalensis, Homo naledi, Homo tsaichangensis and Homo rhodesiensis.
Homo floresiensis is currently classified as another Homo species, but debate continues whether it is a species related to the genus Australopithecus. Dispute also exists whether Homo neanderthalensis should be classified as a distinct species or as Homo sapiens neanderthalensis, placing it as a subspecies of Homo sapiens.

@@sumangm7 Just getting the facts around 5.20 that there are only two recogonized sub-species of H.sapiens - H.sapiens sapiens and H.sapiens idaltu and two other suggested sub-species- Denisova hominin and Red Deer Cave People. As said here, Homo floresiensis is not considered a H.sapien sub-species, but another Homo species.
@@HarikrishnanTulsidas but I think his point was different at 5.3. I guess he was trying to say that Sapiens Sapiens , Neanderthals, denisovans and floresiensis were contemporaries... which is true by the evolution tree. That's all...
@@sumangm7 I am sorry for demanding exatitude here. He says "Humans, i.e., H.sapiens sapiens came around 150,000 years back. Along with us, in H.sapiens there were three other "species" - Denisovans, Floresiensis and Neanderthalensis. None of them expect we sapiens, survived." Denisovans is a suggested H.sapien "sub-species" (but this is not yet confirmed). Homo floresiensis is another "species" of the "genus" Homo, not a species of H.sapiens. Similarly, Neanderthalensis is a species of Homo genus (but could be a sub-species of H.sapiens called Homo sapiens neanderthalensis, which is yet to be confirmed). Even if he is talking about co-exiting Homo species, there are not just three, but at least 12 (or more) as I mentined above.

Human knowledge is subjective and progressive in nature. What We Know Today May Not Be "the truth" Tomorrow. Mr. Ravichandran also falls prey into this. We need objective scrutiny of all knowledge which should be a constant process, in order to reach an objective conclusion. And we should be humble enough to admit the fact that we know only partially of anything and everything.

മത വിശ്വാസം ഒരു അന്ധമായ വിശ്വാസമാണ് എന്നതിൽ തർക്കമില്ല എങ്കിലും ചില അഭിപ്രായങ്ങൾ ശരിയല്ലാ. ഹിന്ദുക്കളുടെ ഇടയിലെ ഉച്ചനീചത്വം (discrimination) ഒരു അന്ധമായ വിശ്വാസമാണ് അത് തലമുറകളായ് വന്നതാണ്. താങ്ങൾ ഉന്നതകുല ജാതരാണ് എന്നു സ്വയം വിശ്വസിക്കാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നവർ, മറ്റുള്ളവരെ തരം താഴ്ത്തി അധികാരം നിലനിർത്തണം എന്നു ചിന്തിക്കുന്നു എന്നു മാത്രം. എന്നാൽ അതിന് മതേതരത്വമായ് (Secularism) ഒരു ബന്ധവുമില്ല. കാരണം ഭൂരിഭാഗം വരുന്ന ഹിന്ദുക്കൾ ഗ്രാമവാസികളാണ്, നഗരങ്ങളിലും വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം എന്ന ആയുദ്ധം ഉപയോഗിക്കാൻ കഴിവുള്ളവർ ചുരുക്കം. Nehru കൊണ്ടുവന്ന secularism എന്താണ് എന്ന് അറിയാത്തവർ, ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ഒരു ചരിത്രം നോക്കിയാൽ എന്തിന്റെ എങ്കിലും പേരിൽ അക്രമിക്കുകയോ, കളിയാക്കുകയോ ചെയ്തവരോട് മാത്രമാണ് പ്രതിഷേധം എന്നു മനസ്സിലാക്കാവുന്നതാണ്. രാഷ്ട്രം ജതി മത ചന്തകൾക്ക് മുകളിലാണ് എന്ന സാമാന്യ ബോധത്തിൽ നിന്നു കൊണ്ടാണ് congress സിനെ അധികാരത്തിൽ എത്തിച്ചത്, അല്ലാതെ Nehruവിന്റെ Indian constitution പഠിപ്പിച്ചു കൊണ്ടല്ലാ. ഈ വിശ്വാസം പലിക്കാൻ സാധിക്കാതെ വന്നു അവർ ജനങ്ങളെ vote Bankങ്കായി കണ്ടു (പല രാഷ്ട്രീയ പാർട്ടികൾ) ഇവർ തന്നെ ഇവിടെ മതബോധത്തിന്റെ വിത്തെറിഞ്ഞു, ന്യൂനപക്ഷവും ഭൂരിപക്ഷവും എന്നു തിരിച്ചു. തരം കിട്ടിയതിനാൽ ന്യൂനപക്ഷങ്ങൾ അവരുടെ ദൈവങ്ങളെ സ്ഥാപിക്കാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചു ഭൂരിപക്ഷങ്ങൾ അവരുടെ ദൈവങ്ങളെ തിരിച്ചറിയുവാൻ തുടങ്ങി. ഇനി ഈ ദൈവങ്ങൾക്ക് എന്തെങ്കിലും ചെയ്യാൻ പറ്റുമോ എന്ന് മനസ്സിലാവാതെ ഒരു തിരിച്ചു പോക്കില്ല നമ്മുടെ ചിന്തകൾ മാറുന്നല്ലോ!
