They were huge internationally, very much embraced and adored. And they all were able t spotlight their vocals, and could all lead on different songs, that made them so special compared to other female groups.
I was blessed to have been able to view this completely device performance....just seems like the world is moving backwards...The Three Degrees Forever!
I have to say that I follow music historically Country, Rock, and Motown; that being said I have never seen any women in that era as Insanely Beautiful as Valarie Holliday!! I just recently discovered the Three Degrees and I am always Smitten by Valerie!
I'm so glad that Japan embraced the girls as they did. I don't get to see much back in the day footage from the states where it isn't lip-synced. At least they showcased the girls talent and let them perform live. I think this version of Love Train is actually better than the one I listened to the other day from Live In London. Thank you!
Great group and lucky enough to interview them in their dressing room backstage in Stafford on one of their earliest visits in the UK. Much jealousy back in the newspaper office, but later found out I had been sent cos our female features editor wanted somebody who could describe their frocks, make-up and ask about their ideal man!
even better audio and picture than the last version, this one shows, more than any other clip, why they ruled cabaret. You can't switch mics unless everyone knows what they are doing.
I read last year on UA-cam that they have been inducted into the World Records Book for the longest, continuous touring female band of all time over 50 years plus.
jonjor1987 Go on the Three degrees web Page the dates are there The tour starts tomorrow .Also their are 2 facebook groups precious moments and love and holding
This wasn't a 'remake'....it was part of the song list owned by Philly International, of which the Degrees and the Ojays were signed to. the Ojays also did a 'remake' of When will I see you again. Back in the day, it was not uncommon for a record house to have multiple acts covering certain songs.
The carefree days of the 70's!
Thanks for taking me back to down memory lane
They were huge internationally, very much embraced and adored. And they all were able t spotlight their vocals, and could all lead on different songs, that made them so special compared to other female groups.
They were such an exciting group. Vocally and visually.
These were the most beautiful ladies in music in their day. I've had a huge crush on Sheila for fifty years now.
Valerie was Drop Dead Gorgeous!
Beautiful ladies with beautiful voices...we just don't seem to have singers like this today.
Excellentes, merveilleuses The Tree Degrees.

This was one of Fayette Pinkney's final performances with The Three Degress, may she rest in peace.
I'm so glad that Japan embraced the girls as they did.

I saw this set and thought that looks like a Japanese music show! What pros.
Im a rasilroad engineer and if these three ladys worked with me I would never leve work LOL
Massive boost for the sales of handlotion and tissues at the time.
America failed these talented beauties… they should have been superstars… household names.
最後の「おやすみなさい」が、とっても可愛い!
OYA SUMINASAI. Pronunciation is Japanese.

I love these ladies, but this performance was god awful.
Super schmaltzy Vegas-style rendition. Reminiscent of a beauty pageant act.
Menachem Sachem Robotscowitz agree ! still entertaining and that's showbiz !
They mix their shows with some show style like that to entertain. It would be boring having every song in the same way! Gotta vary!
An unfortunate remake

ruined not at all like the original !!
