SHOUT OUT TO MY COUNTRY MALAYSIA 🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾
Dude, you commented on their fist comment 🤦♂️ better luck next time my friend.
I'm a proud Englishman but I'm glad I spent my childhood going on holidays in Wales. It's sad that one of the key member nations of the UK is so often overlooked by tourists. Sure it rains a lot but it's a beautiful country with stunning countryside scenery.
Some of the most incredible examples of British castles can be found, beautifully preserves in Wales. They're certainly worth a visit for the amazing insight into both the historical oppression of the Welsh & the sheer might of the English royalty at a time when Britain was starting to establish itself as an empire builder.
The produce is amazing like Welsh lamb & Perl Las & Caerphilly cheeses. Welsh beer is amongst the best available anywhere in the UK. It isn't often that you get a dodgy pint in Wales and it tastes even better when the rugby is on. Also Penderyn whiskey is worth trying because it is easily as complex delicious as some of the best Scottish & Irish whiskeys.
most of what you say i agree with but good welsh beer come on your haveing a laugh
I agree to, Wales is a very underrated place to visit, but, there is one big problem, it's full of Welsh people
Not saying Welsh beer is better than the likes of Shepherd Neame, Three Tuns, Robinsons, Theakstons or Innis & Gunn but it can be pretty close if not at least as good. Felinfoel, Penlon even Brains to name a few make some great beers. A damn sight better than anything the lager companies can produce anyway.
Shut Up! Wales is our secret place....Shhh!
Sadly Caerphilly cheese is no longer made on Wales. Also there's some great Welsh beers tiny rebel, crafty devil, purple moose brewery.
The smallest house has connections to my grandmother’s family!
Geraint Hughes That’s fantastic! What is the connection?
Hehe my grandad helped restore it lol
@@sagesheppard my family’s home was the first house just under the bridge. My great grand father was a mussel man of Conwy.
You are SO lucky!
You guys are always so happy and easy going, watching your videos always puts me in a good mood
I bet that small house would probably sell for half a million or more in London.
WELL, GARAGES DO
First off I love the Channel and I believe your some of the only ones that do Britain right!
One recommendation though is to visit Jersey in the Channel Islands as they have a tonne of interesting and cool places to go like a castle, different forts and even bunkers and war tunnels from WW2. Ive lived here my whole life and really recommend it as a holiday destination
I would live in that house, there are many apartments in NYC that size that cost 2000 a month.
It would be near £1 million to buy in London
About those bridges... Slight correction, they were replicas of larger brigades between across the Menai Strait between mainland Wales & Anglegsy just to the west. They were miniature versions of the Menai Bridge by Thomas Telford & the Britainnia Bridge by Robert Stephenson, both legendary engineers.
Thank you I had no idea despite living here for 5-6 years!
Full Welsh, English, Scottish, Irish breakfasts all pretty similar.
Visited Conwy in 1978. I was 12. Your vlog bought back a surprisingly number of memories, so thank you!
Wales is beautiful. Crab fishing off Beaumaris pier. Caernarfon Harlech Conwy and Beaumaris castles. Wonderful places. Great to see u in UK. Follow you and donate. Great stuff
Watching the video makes me happy as I’m missing wales at the moment. Studying in London and I miss the castles, people and weather.
Ah, I live like 20 minutes from Conwy. So cool to see you in my area! Hope you guys are having fun!
what is your damage heather me too Llandudno
I am so excited that your in Conwy!! I was there in May and loved it! I am originally from Illinois and moved to Orlando a few years ago.
Hey, I'm only 3 years late! But you just walked past my son's wife's parents house which backs onto the inside of the town walls, and you briefly saw my daughter's primary school. My wife and i had our first date in the castle in 1988.
Hi guys, I was just there last September or year ago. Stayed in the great B&B in the city center. Then we took a train to London and stay there for five days.
I love watching these 2 travelling the UK with their chilled happy vibe but it always makes me hungry when I see their food 😂
I doubt you two will see this comment considering how long it’s been since you uploaded this video, but since I got my AncestryDNA results I’m obsessed with learning what I can about Great Britain. Your channel will help answer some questions, I’m a new sub. 💜☮️💜
Love Conwy, my hometown and favourite place.
i Think its mine too.. Idk.
Wales is so beautiful, we just been there and made two videos :)
If you are ever back in Conwy way....head past the smallest house, through the arch and there is a lovely walk on the water. Also, the bluebell pub is a great vegan only pub. Outside of Conwy....glenconwy....beautiful and has an awesome national trust garden. Also over the bridge you head toward Llandudno...very traditional British seaside resort...cute pier, punch and Judy etc. Also the great orme....gorgeous little railway to the top, or you can get a cable car up there. Amazing views, cafe, gift shop, playground and a bronze mine.
In Victorian times, you would find five to six people to one full size bed and adjoining rooms were open to each other with very little privacy. This was common place in Victorian homes in America as well. I am sure it was easier to heat two adjoining rooms with an opening than two separate rooms with no opening. We lived in such a house whereby an earlier owner enclosed and separated the rooms with two separate doors in the hallway.
My friend Norma lives in Wales and I live in the southwestern USA. I absolutely love when she sends me things about Wales to watch.
Im from manchester i visited there on a school trip for the weekend they called it pgl...parents get lost hehe, lovely place
Another, brilliant UK vlog, you do it fantastic, you can genuinely tell you love it here. There's so much to see in this country, I've got around a lot and seen lots but I've not even scratched the surface. I love villages, just walking around tiny beautiful villages and having lunch and a pint in the local pub. Honestly wouldn't wanna live anywhere else. Britain is beautiful
I too have visited this city with my Welsh boyfriend. I loved it. So glad to see a vlog about this lovely piece of Wales.
Town, not city.
You ought to try Chester, the city walls are roman and you can walk almost all round. The medieval shopping galleries are worth a look too
There was a guy in the excellent 1974 TV film Dave Allen in Search of the Great English Eccentric (on youtube) who lived in a small box home, with a mini extension to put his feet as the bed wasn't long enough.
Full Welsh Breakfast. All the usual from a fried breakfast ie Sausage, bacon, egg, mushrooms etc plus fried cockles (small clams) and Laverbread (boiled seaweed usually mixed with oatmeal and fried as small cakes)
My Grandma moved to North Wales when I was one so every single summer holiday was spent in Llandudno (which is one of my most favourite places) with regular excursions to Conwy, Betsw y coed, Rhos on Sea and various other places in the area. It's very beautiful there and often overlooked as a holiday spot. I miss it very much and must go back soon. If you go back then you must take a tram ride up The Great Orme (the original victorian tram cars), see the views from the cable car, check out the mine they re-discovered a few years ago, do the walk round the Orme and hike across it. Views to die for and the whole area is just stunning
Yay, thank you for this video! I am going to Wales - Conwy on my own on Saturday and now I am so excited!
i love conwy one of my favorite castles. Cadw is the welsh government agency that looks after all the historic buildings and monuments and a lot of their properties are free to go around.
fyi if a welsh breakfast doesnt have fried cockles lava bread, glamorgan sausage, bacon, eggs, plum tomatoes (though chopped is ok), and fried bread its not a 'Full' welsh breakfast
also another welsh food to try is pyklets they are sort of a cross between a scotch pancake and a crepe
Excellent. I just studied the history of Wales. wow what a fascinating story!
I live about 25miles from Conwy and although I've visited the town many times over the years I must admit I've never been inside the smallest house..being 6'3" I thought it might been a struggle for me..but thanks to you guys I now know what it looks like inside...Thanks for sharing!
I just watched this and it takes me back. I used to go to school in Conwy, and I spent many a day skipping school and sitting next to the Smallest House or up on the town walls. Those were much happier times!
The castle is one of my favourite places to go when I visit my parents hope you enjoy the area. Warning the steps in the castle are crazy and get super slippy
Imagine how slippery when its raining.
In this episode I can see why you guys love the UK so much. I lived in England for 3 years and saw loads of fun places but never went here. Love this episode. Safe travels guys, blessings, James & Kim (treasure Hunt traveler's)
That tiny house just shows you what a person really needs in life, haha. Which is why I'm in love with the tiny homes movement that is becoming more and more popular. =) I may want to live in one when I get a bit older, just less to clean. haha Great video! I really enjoyed it!
Absolutely Ms Wandering, I'd rather live in a tiny house somewhere beautiful in nature, than a standard suburban home. The burdensome yoke of the upkeep on a large house, the traffic, the road noise, the pollution, are all more stifling and oppressive than a small but perfectly formed tiny house that inspires you to get active. I hope you get to build yours, good luck! :)
Where do you to when you've had an argument with your partner?#!
I think you're right Kyle, that's definitely one contributing factor. There is a big difference psychologically, when the choice is your own, versus an unfortunate circumstance thrust upon you. There are many people around the world living in tiny homes, but because they have no other option, they probably feel very trapped. That's definitely different than having decided to downsize and simplify, especially if that frees up funds for you to do other interesting activities, which poverty would prevent.
The only people pushing tiny homes are the same people pushing carbon footprint reduction, the elite who live e in enormous mansions and fly on private jets and have fleets of private cars.
But yeah, some people don't need all the trappings to be happy.
You're going to have to elaborate Dan, because you post makes zero sense in isolation.
Robert Stephenson built the railway bridge at Conway; he was a renowned railway engineer, who followed in the footsteps his father George Stephenson. Thomas Telford built the suspension bridge.
Seeing as you're in the area I have the following suggestions:
Portmeiron (an eccentric tried to build an Italian sea side resort in Wales and it turned out quite odd)
Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch longest station name in the world. I'd be happy to pronounce it for you.
Blaneu Ffestiniog railway, a historic narrow guage railway through the hills.
portmeirion has got hideously expensive to get into these days though
Ffestiniog is lovely though
I'd second the portmeiron suggestion, even if it's expensive it's one of the most unique places you could ever visit.
Anglesey is a good place for a family holiday. My family spent a week there when I was in my teens. We were in a caravan within sight of RAF Valley and were able to watch the trainee pilots doing aerobatics on certain days. You couldn't predict when.
The tiny house OG is in the Philippines. People here are living in tiny because Filipino loves to be near hospital, church, market, park, school and work. Thats why the cities are combisted already.
Ahhhhh i love Conwy. Always makes me feel like a medieval princess to walk the castle
I'm proud to be from wales and i live 5 minutes from there so I'm really lucky
Great video guys, we recently visited the smallest pub in Britain, great fun! Regards, Elaine and Simon😎👍
A TALKING DOG!!!! 🤣❤️
way away.....leave the queen out of this she not a dog just old.
I've been in that house too, and have read of the history; my recollection is that the man that they referenced was much taller than 6 feet
Go to Snowdonia National Park and then visit the village of Beddgelert. Both charming and as beautiful as F.
The very sad story of Beddgelert.
Danny Westwood the very 'made up by the local publican to boost visitors in the 1800s' story of Beddgelert. it is sad though.
@@dogstar75 What, it was made up??? I've been feeling sorry about that for thirty-odd years now. I had no idea it wasn't true!
Danny Westwood i visited the sodding grave before i found out.
I went to North Wales for a week last year. Loved it. I went to Conwy as well, I didn't go in the tiniest house, but I did see it. My friend who lives nearby managed to find free parking near the castle too! Good to have a local with us. I also climbed Snowdon as well. I want to go back, it was a really good holiday!
you should go to Caernarfon Castle its not far from Conwy
A symbol of English domination by the accursed Edward the first!... more military castles in Wales than elswhere!
Great video! I've been there end of July, we didn't have the opportunity to visit the smallest house though, thanks for filming! So so cute! Lol
I absolutely LOVED this video. Thanks for taking me with you!
Hey Guys, we live in the north of England, we leave on October 5th for a years travelling and vlogging around the world,, we have a day or 2 free before we leave if you are around on your way up to scotland. Lots of history in and around Sheffield, eyam in Derbyshire is so interesting and Manchester and York are great places to visit.
I was born in Deganwy , My mother was born in a cottage directly behind the smallest house and that makes her a Jackdaw.
North Wales is such a beautiful place. We especially love Conwy and spend many weekends here as it's where my parents have their caravan sited during the spring and summer months. We've just spent this weekend there, staying in the lovely cottage next door but one to the Smallest house. Glad to say the scaffolding around the castle has been removed too so it looks loads better
The dog literally has a name tag on its collar lol
It's unwise to put your dog's name on its tag. Dog thieves are not unknown and it can make it easier to control it if they know the dog's name. Just put your telephone number and your name on the tag.
We stumbled across this house in 2014 whilst we were camping in Conwy in 2014
Hello I'm really liking your videos you are very nice people. I went to the smallest house in Great Britain when I was 7yrs old., I am now 54yrs olld This video fetched back some lovely childhood memories.
Great movie :) finally we were there and it was great:) greetings!
Gosh you do break a sweat walking around those walls! Haha! But i love it every time.
Beaumaris castle on Anglesey is a superb castle
It's weird discovering my hometown through the eyes of a tourist but I love it
Conway is somewhere I've visited many times. Wales is a beautiful country and it was very nice to see our american cousins enjoying it too. A lot of visitors just see London and the UK has a lot more to offer.
This was the original tiny house. 3:46
I really hope your endless adventure won't end because I c can't imagine a life without your channel right now lol.
Thankyou for showing us.
Me and my partner recently returned from a little Conwy getaway. Hope you guys had a lovely time!
The woman at the tiny house was in Welsh National Dress in case you didnt notice xx
Thank you, dears!! It was very interesting.. I love Wales!!..
Thank you so much for this video. I live 40 minutes east of Conwy in Mold, a small market town. I really enjoyed seeing Wales through your eyes. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. The weather! I know, we're used to it, but sometimes it's a real pain! Hope you guys are safe.
I appreciate that you didn't say Con-WAY and tried your best to say Conwy, as a welsh speaker I can't bare it when people say Con-WAY😂 Loved seeing you 10 mins down the road! :D
Honestly, we weren't sure which way we should say it, so we took a gamble 😸
who would have thought that tiny home would be on trend centuries later?! 😜
I go to Wales quite regularly, just started to finally visit Conwy properly in the last few years myself, I would normally just pass it by on my way to Criccieth, but I find it a really nice place to go, rent myself a small cottage up the road and drive on in.
So small and tight entrance but Eric managed to get in it. Alison enjoyed it.
Hi we went twice to conwy this year .we stayed in the walls of the castle in a cottage .its a beautifull place and seeing your video brought back memorys to me .when you went down the sea front by all the boats its lovely isnt it .did you get fish and chips down the front in the little alleyway by the toilets oh boy ive never tasted fish and chips like them they are amazing .the smallest house is good to its hard to belive someone living in it .we had a week in one cottage and later on in another cottage .myself my husband and our dog mac he enjoyed it too getting spoilt everywere we went all the dogs were very well behaved .i think it was one of the nicest holidays ive had very relaxing .if youve not visited there make sure you visit you will not be dissapointed x
While you're in north Wales you should definitely visit Beddgelert, Caernafon Castle and Betws-y-Coed
Conwy castle ..... beautiful place. Built by Edward 1 (the long shanks ) .
portmeirion worth a visit next time you do north wales
No Mate Come to Southwest Wales
I understand how portmeirion is a nice place for a visitor, but as I work there my views are totally different! xD I see that damn place every day, and have done for over 20 years. Loved going for walks there as a kid with my mother on saturdays. Lost its magic the day I started working there.
Doc Martin
I live like 10 minutes away from Conwy 😄
OhSxnch I live in Llandudno :)
The walking bridge was by Thomas Telford.
I think with the previous houses that were next to the smallest house, the same thing might have happened as with Caernarfon Castle where in the late 50's they demolished a bunch of houses that had been built right up against the castle walls, as part of the renovation and conservation of the castle walls and structure. Seems like the smallest house was saved because of it's significance.
The area next to the Smallest House was the site of the printing works of the local paper.
Love it in Wales , should of bought a bottle of Meade whisky in the shop just outside the castle near the bridge
And if you don't like whisky, get the original Welsh honey Mead. It's like drinking nectar.
Stayed in Conwy a few years ago and loved it, such a beautiful historic Welsh town! I accidentally dropped a keychain off the wall in that gap to the left at 7:42 , don’t suppose it was still there? 🤣
Wifi not working started raining sounds like welsh summer to me
It’s so much fun following along with you on your journey visiting all these countries. Places we may never see ourselves, but are inspired to dream about going there some day. Thank you so much for sharing your travels and all your hard work in putting this vlog together.
Conwy Castle looks like a great castle to visit. There are many castles in the uk
U guys would like Barry island which is in essence, the quintessential British seaside.
Beautiful View! Thank you for climbing!
I was in Conwy in 1984. Thanks for the refresher!
This is the very first & only time I have seen the inside of this lovely little house. 😏😉
Love how you guys give little history lessons of the places you visit.
Who would want to live in a ty bach? :-)
The usual fate of lesser castles, abbeys etc if they fell into disuse, was that the local townspeople would help themselves to the stone to build their own houses.
Just to explain: tŷ bach (literally, little house) is a Welsh-language euphemism for 'toilet'.
Better live in ty mawr! (large house)
I love cats soo much.. Thank you for the start
Loved the little dog more than anything. Such a cute little face🐱
Yeah Conwy .. spelt meanty childhood holidays there, running around the castle. I remember the smallest house well.
Amazing, guys, thanks very much for sharing with me!
I would SOOO live there! I don't need much. It's perfect!
I’m from Wrexham north wales and I spent most summers in Colwyn one of the wonderful places in wales! I love it
Just watched your latest video and heard you visited Wales. I’m from the south but was actually in Conwy a couple weeks before you guys 😆
Love you guys and glad to see you're having so much fun in old Blighty.
