There are lots of quality of life stuff they've done too, like you can finish order from the main screen by clicking on the check mark that appears when they are done and when you hold down the hotkey to see where people are working you can add and removed workers directly.
Watching him hoard blueprints like he does and get away with it makes me realize how abuseable trade mechanics are in this game. It's actually really funny to watch.

@starburst98 I did it, devs gave back embarkation points if you didn't finish game before update (maybe bug). I had hard game and lost couple times at it. I didn't finish it, to get back embarkation points and try again when update came. I had almost 20 points, and was easier run and won that game. That is one perk i lost when game entered in 1.0 :). I am waiting for next update to see if it restarts game, or i lose it (ancient seal game).
You might be far enough ahead that you've realized this but they've created "small" camps for all the resources. So at like 10:50 you don't need the trapper's camp at that point. You only need the advanced camps for the large resources you find in the more dangerous glades. Also, just click the arrows next to each race to see what they like it is also makes it easier for viewers to see what you have.
@nohbdy99 I believe large resource camps work faster on small nodes than small resource camps. And maybe they give more resource for same amount of nodes.
I just got Saelig in the sale, I have an event in OSRS and I should be getting my next tier of vehicles in War Thunder for when I'm playing with friends who are higher tier than me. Watching these videos makes me want to play Against the Storm instead. I'm just one man.
As i usually just watch civ6 content, it's really interesting to watch potato play a game he isn't fantastic at. Like, he's clearly still good just off fundamentals in the genre, but then sometimes picks an absolute noob trap option like the -hostility for woodcutters cornerstone (when some really good other options were present!) It's jarring.
Meat specialization is actually so powerful it can kill you. If your trees have a chance to produce meat (like on the seal closing maps), meat spec can fill up all the lumber huts with meat, and then your hearth goes out, when you run out of wood.
@@the_hate_inside1085 Just build small storage next to each woodcutter, and put 3 haulers in main storage, it should fix it. And if you have access to coal it is not big deal.
40:10 Potato saying that he is struggling for workers when he has 8 unemployed workers (and 2 more on a glade event, so over 1/4 of his town) is just PEAK potato gameplay
@raydearie9805 It is normal to lose couple first games before you learn basics. But now there are training option, not sure if it is playable from lvl 0.
PotatoMcWhiskey You can min max villagers resolve drop in storm by letting it drop to 0, and only then burn fuel in heart to get back to >0, then again stop burning until 0. Couple times that micro management and you spend less fuel.
This is a fun game, a little repetitive if you are already near the middle and figured how to prioritized what you need to have. Human, Dwarf and harphy are the best combination as I know. Also this game trigger ocd.
Hey so I noticed this video didn't show up in the recs after your first video on this game, and also that you have a playlist with the first and third videos but not this one. The playlist seems to be just named bronze seal, which imo is a little vague
Love you Potato, but curious if you or anybody else has feedback, despite Against the Storm being out there for over a year, there seems to be almost no awareness based on YT video views, almost nothing over 10k views aside from yours. Yes the few making videos will get you well on your way, not hating on them, but this game deserves way more love.
@JeffreyGoddin City builder games are niche segment, and this is weird city builder, even smaller market. I hope they make fisherman hut DLC with new species and buildings so i can support them more.

You can stack extra embarkation points. So imagine going into a seal with 30 extra points and buying all the super expensive bonuses.

This game seems to be inspired by the Stormlight Archives, but isn't quite set in the world of the stories. Or am I imagining things?
