why don't they just make the movie just like the author had written it??? without changing everything it's the same thing they did with the Percy Jackson movie movie franchise they're really screwed up that movie and they were doing the same thing with Harry Potter
@@juanitamorgan5475 I disagree with you on this one. All of the movies except for hbp and gof were exactly the same as the books. The ootp movie was in my opinion a lot better than the books. I feel like the book was a little too bulky and packed while the movie was nice and compact. Keeping all the cool/important part of the book. Hbp did the book dirty, keeping too much of the “rom-com” part and cutting out a lot of voldemort’s past. I love the movies as they are (except for hbp, that ones the worst). Your comparison to Percy Jackson is completely irrational. Sure, the movies did change the story a little but most of them manage to capture the magic that the books had. In most book/novel-adapted movies, the director usually has to cut out some parts. Like for example, in the Philosopher’s Stone movie, instead of having Harry duel Draco, they introduced Norbert at the same time. This was an excellent change as it covered to parts of the story at once. But hey it’s your opinion so I don’t really wanna judge or criticise you so u have ur opinions bud.
Yes, the writers revamped way too much of the novel's timelines and better plotting and totally screwed up Voldemort's death. Rowling's work wasn't always perfect, according to some critics, but considering the fact that she had _everything_ foreshadowed and _linked,_ before she wrote a word, was genuinely quite brilliant.
I appreciate the 'bridge' scene at the end bc Harry was able to explain to Ron and Hermione (broadly) what happened. I never thought reading the book "yep, they'll show him explaining it to them." But they did. Bravo! HOWEVER: the headmaster's office has been a set forever. 1. Go up there. 2. Exposition 3. Fix wand 4. Snap Elder Wand, say you'll be placing it in Dumbledore's tomb and I'd be fine with it 5. Profit. It was so easy, and they didn't even do that 😔
The scene where Viktor Krum And Hermione dance at Bill And Fleur’s Wedding in The Deathly Hallows Part 1 really Should have made it in the movie. I am very disappointed that it wasn’t.
I think the film production company went overboard with making it a film and not its own universe. The viewers don't give a shit if a scene is added that has almost no relevancy to the main plot line. We are all addicted to the Lore of the Harry Potter world, rather than the cinematography aspects.
It wasn't included because it made no sense to the storyline. In the books, Ron and Hermione dance at the wedding, so the dance scene with Viktor and Hermione is unnecessary.
I was always gutted that they never found a way to squeeze Peeves the Poltergeist into the movies properly, Rik Mayall would have been a riot as the mischievous poltergeist! 😂😁
That was the problem: the kids kept laughing and ruining the shots. I agree that Peeves wasn't included, since his role in the stories is often quite important, and I _still_ don't know why they didn't include him with CGI. Lord knows, they wasted enough time on the usual stuff they added, thinking it was "cute" and better than Rowling's narrative.
I would have loved to see those scenes with peeves, and filch getting annoyed with him 😂 I'd also have liked to see the bit where harry drops the screaming egg down the stairs, and filch accusing peeves of stealing
@@banooca94 Yes, considering all the screen time they devoted to the Magic World's version of a "Car Chase" and all the other "cute" _junk_ they threw in, they could easily have had Peeves floating around like Slimer in "Ghost Busters."
Where was the choir scene in half blood prince, where they show half of Snape’s face in the light and half in the dark which was cut. I literally thought that was No.1🤷🏻♂️
They should have kept the redemption moments (Draco's and Dudley's) in the movies. Also, I would have liked to see the development of the romance between Tonks and Lupin.
Honestly, I just wish the movies had treated Ron better instead of giving all his good lines/traits to Hermione (who was a Mary Sue in the movies). I ship Romione, and it was so upsetting to see Yates/Kloves mess up Ron’s character as well as the relationship between him and Hermione. Like in HBP, they had Harry and Hermione standing apart from Ron, like he wasn’t even a part of their group - like he was an after thought! Rupert Grint was a perfect Ron, but it’s a shame that Yates/Heyman/Kloves had a weird boner for Hermione and shipping her with Harry!
alwaysahiccupandastrid Heromine wasn’t a Mary Sue so.... she had the a lot of knowledge to support how powerful of a Witch she had become. Like literally, all the films before Book 5 had her getting more and more powerful alongside Harry with him being more powerful due to his numerous experiences.
MGJMiller1995 I remember when I was reading the book, thinking about how the movie should be two parts because it was such a big book and had so much content! We knew a major character was going to die as Rowling had said as much but there was a huge story ark with Mrs Weasley too. I went back and forth thinking it would be her and Rowling said something about how she wasn’t certain when writing it who it would end up being... there was so much left out!
I have always said it, and I will say it again. I am so pissed, that they only mention Teddy by name only. The whole point to his exsistence was to show the cycle that Harry went through; being orphaned by a dark lord and going through the termoils that followed, can be broken! In the book, Teddy was raised by his grandmother (Tonk's mother) But Harry, Ron and Hermonie were very much an extension to his family. He would grow with love and support which is the polar opposite to Harry's childhood.
I’ll never forgive JK for killing off Fred, Dobby and Dumbledore! I cry like a baby every time! Honestly though the Malfoy scene and the Dursley scene should’ve made it, they were bad characters that had the best redemption arcs.
What about Sirius they had such a good friendship and if was as close☹️ as a parent or family member he had apart from the dursleys but I don't think you can count them..
I don’t know if this a deleted scene or not but during the battle of Hogwarts there is a tiny shot of Oliver Wood leading a group on broomsticks, fighting from above.
Is this a joke? The choir scene in Hp6 not even being mentioned here is an absolute joke. Probably the most beautiful scene in the whole series. So dark and really paints a picture of the mood at Hogwarts during the time.
They should've kept the scene where Ron explained to Harry and Hermione that when they say Voldermort's name that tips off the Deatheaters where they are.
Missing another intriguing one from HP4: when Snape accuses Harry of stealing potion supplies. Harry and Hermione are then shown together on the bridge with Hermione saying "Are you sure those are the two ingredients Snape mentioned?" Harry "Positive. Why?" Hermione "Well, he thinks we're brewing Polyjuice Potion, doesn't he." - Foreshadowing the reveal of Barty Crouch Jr who disguises as Moody using said potion. I love that scene, cause it makes the viewer aware of what's to come and that if Hermione isn't brewing the potion, someone else is.
*the_aussie_girl* Funny you should mention that stupid bridge, as that's yet another of the filmmakers' faults: changing the scenery in later movies. Suddenly, it's down a steep hill to Hagrid's cottage that's now _two_ cottages Siamesed together; there's now an enormous clock with a giant pendulum that somebody's fevered brain concocted; the Headless Hunt is seen galloping around Hogwarts; the Gryffindor Portrait Lady's thinks she's an opera singer... The least they could do is stick with the original architecture---and leave out so much of their own barf.
@@the_aussie_girl5569 I agree. When they aren't leaving scenes out, they're not including characters that were in the scene in the book---or assigning dialog to another character than the original. I don't suppose we'll ever see a remake of the series, though wouldn't it be great to have a TV series that sticks closer to the books?
@@oldenweery7510 hm.... I'm not sure if I'd like a movie remake, tbh. Maybe it's because I first watched the films and read the books after, but even after having read the books multiple times to the point of book backs breaking, I remain rather fond of the movies as well. I fairly enjoy the actors choosen for their parts, I like how they executed the beasts and magic and I understand that with books as extensive as HP they can't fit everything in a movie.
Why the hell did they delete draco malfoy's scene it's so amazing and the young dursley and his mother's scene too and although tonks and lupin 's scene would have made me heart broken but it's so beautiful to be deleted
the dursley scenes should have definitely been in the movies. when dudley said “i don’t think you’re a waste of space” and “i don’t understand, isn’t he coming with us?” to harry that added so much sympathy to to dudley’s character and that it shows how dudley always thought of harry as a brother.
I was soooo disapointed as a child, that peeves isn't in the movies. It's even worse when you hear why 😥😥 Thank you for the list. I love Harry Potter content. Always. ;)
The deleted scene from COS (#7) is actually found in the extended version of the movie, as well as the extended potions class and the troll aftermath in the Philosopher’s Stone
Harry is the owner of the Elder Wand. He has owned it since Malfoy Manor. It wouldn't make sense for Draco to have it. And it will cause a Butterfly effect of other things you would have to change.
Warren Mazengwe but Harry didn’t fight in the battle with the elder wand he fought with Draco’s wand even in the final battle so if Draco gave Harry whoever’s wand he did it wouldn’t have the effect cause that’s a elder wand thing other wands can’t change owners
I feel like I’ve seen almost all of these in the movies because it was on tv and they would show them but then again I never saw them in theaters only on tv and dvds every time I would see my grandma every now and then lol
I totally understand why it was cut, but my favorite deleted scene was the scene where the choir is singing In Noctem. It shows the darkness coming over Hogwarts the night Dumbledore was murdered. It's visual storytelling at its best. No dialogue, just visual representation. It was likely cut for pacing reasons, because at this point in the movie, the plot is moving along at a fast clip, and it would have been a screeching, grinding halt if they kept it, but I still just love it. My biggest pet peeve of deleted things in the movies is from Prisoner of Azkaban. Out of all of them, the climax of that movie was the most rushed. The movie-makers made the mistake of thinking that it was the dementer stuff that was the climax. It wasn't. It was the Shrieking Shack scene in which we get the truth of who betrayed Harry's parents. A part of that was the revelation that the writers of the Marauder's Map were James Potter and his friends. That fact was left completely out of the movies, and it drives me crazy to this day.
how bout the deleted scene when Ron knew that speaking Voldemorts name can track them down, it would have been great cus other fans thought that Ron was just stupid... that scene could have done a great character development for Ron
Mercy! I really loved Lupin and Tonks in the book. They didn't get to shine in the movies. I think if you didn't know their characters from the book the movie didn't truly highlight why their death was so sad!
That moment when you realise that in the deleted scene of Philosopher's Stone, Snape moves close to Harry's face and lectures him....just to get a better look at Lily's eyes. And they make him speechless.
They are all amazing, I’d have put Petunia and Dudley 3, Draco 2 and Remus♥️Tonks 1 but I love it. There are also totally cut scenes that we can’t find anywhere, neither on UA-cam or something. For example the discussion between Lily and James or most touching and important of all (from my opinion) is when Remus asks Harry to be Teddy’s godfather. Also scenes like when Remus and Tonks tells Harry they got married and they go away when Scrimagew (I dunno how to write it) arrives ‘cause Remus is a Warewolf. Anyway from my point they shouldn’t have cut nothing from the film
The deleted scene with Petunia should have been included in the final version of the movie. When we lose somebody important, it may be not just us: somebody else might be suffering from this loss. Just like Lilly. She was Harry's mother but Petunia's sister as well. Family is family
Finally Harry potter again...... Im always waiting for harry potter's contents from this channel. The explanation on this channel is very complete. Love this channel😃😃
the fact that the remus and tonks’ scene was only about 30 seconds long is why it should have made it into the movie, it was short but it meant so much, and i will forever be pissed that the scene had not made it into the movie
@History Freak and it would have made the series come full circle with Teddy being another orphan. Lost his parents in battle to Voldemort, like Harry lost his parents in defence to Voldemort.
The philosopher’s stone is still my favourite out of all 8 movies. It was just a very good movie overall and the most accurate to the original book I feel too.
I think the Dursley departure in the final cut should have included all captured scenes - Dudley saying Harry wasn't a waste of space is important, and Petunia's reflection on Harry's mom's death would have explained, for folks who didn't read the books, why Petunia hated the magical world - because it took her sister away forever, and Harry being a wizard was a reminder of the power that took her sister away. Petunia didn't have much of an arc in the films, but that would have been the best ending to her involvement in the films I think
As far as I'm concerned, the film version of "Prisoner of Azkaban" entirely bollix'd up a lot of major plot points, such as not being clear on the exact history of the Marauders' Map, the "reveal" between Sirius and Lupin in the Shrieking Shack (done so sloppily that no one who hadn't read the book could possibly have understood what was going on), that wonderful, touching moment when Harry's Patronus approached him and Harry realized it was Prongs, and Sirius's final line to Harry, "You are truly your father's son!" -- yet another important and emotionally moving moment that didn't make the cut.

Did anyone else cry at the Tonks/Lupin scene
I honestly kinda glad to tonks came she would be so depressed when she found out Lupin died
My friends & I were peeved that Harry didn't repair his wand with the Elder Wand.
Profit. It was so easy, and they didn't even do that 😔
The whole finale of deathly hallows was shit especially this bit and Voldemort’s death
I was peeved that they didn't add peeves
@@banooca94 :=)
@@marissarosenberg8606 yeah, but we dont get to see Romione dance at the wedding either.
*Herm-own-ninny*
It wouldn't make sense. Especially since Ron danced with Hermione in the book, not Krum
I would have hoped for Eric Idle to have played Peeves.
Trina Q I too was peeved they didn’t add peeves!
9:41 would have given me peace because in the books, Petunia never said what she wanted to say to Harry when they left.
Where was the choir scene in half blood prince, where they show half of Snape’s face in the light and half in the dark which was cut.
I literally thought that was No.1🤷🏻♂️
me 2, that scene was SO powerful.
Where can I find this

Everyone?
Could NOT agree more!
They messed up Ginny's character too!!! She was so much stronger than she appeared in the movies!!!
alwaysahiccupandastrid Heromine wasn’t a Mary Sue so.... she had the a lot of knowledge to support how powerful of a Witch she had become. Like literally, all the films before Book 5 had her getting more and more powerful alongside Harry with him being more powerful due to his numerous experiences.
@@isaiahowens5322 she definitely was a Mary Sue
Even in the end of HBP book, Ron was the one to tell Harry that they would go where Harry will go, not Hermione.
The best HP deleted scene. Is in HP 6 when They show an montage of characters right before Dumbledore‘s death
Omg yes! The scene was so eerie and I'm surprised it didn't make it onto this list!
"En noctum'"
Why couldn’t they show nevilles backstory
Exactly! or when his mom gave him the wrapper, it’s only moment we’re he had a connection with his mother
Most of these scenes are seen on the SYFY airings of the Harry Potter franchise.
Conor Tague SYFY and Freeform both always add the deleted scenes back in. They're just going off scenes that were left off the theatrical cuts.
7:20 Short on time to grieve his godfather? The longest book was the shortest movie. They had time! 😂
MGJMiller1995 Chamber Of Secrets: Shortest book, longest movie.

The scene where Draco gives Harry his wand would've been the perfect redemption for Draco. It would've shown how good and brave he was in the end.
Yes more Remus and tonks
I think the films really mishandled the Nymphadora Tonks character entirely.
Miss Giggles I love Tonks. She makes me proud of being a hufflepuff
10:36 the moment Snape indirectly saved Ron from being poisoned
What about Teddy Lupins scene??? I really wanted to see Teddy
Teddy was casted. Yeah, he was. But the scene was freaking cut. The actor is Newberry Luke.
Draco's scene should've made the final cut
I’ll never forgive JK for killing off Fred, Dobby and Dumbledore! I cry like a baby every time! Honestly though the Malfoy scene and the Dursley scene should’ve made it, they were bad characters that had the best redemption arcs.
What about Sirius they had such a good friendship and if was as close☹️ as a parent or family member he had apart from the dursleys but I don't think you can count them..
What about killing Hedwig, she didn’t deserve to die

my favourite deleted scene is 100% when Draco throws Harry his wand in DH2
I don’t know if this a deleted scene or not but during the battle of Hogwarts there is a tiny shot of Oliver Wood leading a group on broomsticks, fighting from above.
lydia laver
Yeah. I noticed him as well as the other Quidditch players
Is this a joke? The choir scene in Hp6 not even being mentioned here is an absolute joke. Probably the most beautiful scene in the whole series. So dark and really paints a picture of the mood at Hogwarts during the time.
DJ Magz
Oh yeah I agree! Imagine how much time they practiced for that scene, and then they just cut it off
Can I see it somewhere??
Kareena Nagpal Yeah its on youtube
I should have not watched this, I'm now crying and want to reread the books
Also in HP4: the conversation between Snape and Karkarov Harry overhears in the courtyard during the Yule Ball
@@oldenweery7510 honestly, I don't care where the scene I mentioned is set as long as the conversation takes place
The troll moment was so cute. The way Ron says "that's what friends are for"
Why the hell did they delete draco malfoy's scene it's so amazing and the young dursley and his mother's scene too and although tonks and lupin 's scene would have made me heart broken but it's so beautiful to be deleted
the dursley scenes should have definitely been in the movies. when dudley said “i don’t think you’re a waste of space” and “i don’t understand, isn’t he coming with us?” to harry that added so much sympathy to to dudley’s character and that it shows how dudley always thought of harry as a brother.
I wish Sirius didn’t die ..🥺
I was soooo disapointed as a child, that peeves isn't in the movies. It's even worse when you hear why 😥😥
Thank you for the list. I love Harry Potter content. Always. ;)

The deleted scene I will never forgive is Draco throwing Harry his wand

"I'm not worried Harry, I'm with you" has to be one of my favourite HP lines, always makes me tear up
I am bummed that they left out harry and ginnys kiss after ginny wins the cup, that was one of my favourite moments in the whole series

I wish they would have included the duel with Voldy vs McGonagall, Slughorn and Shacklebolt. Would have been amazing to see.
Remus and Tonks’ Death is even sadder when you realize it mirrors Lily and James Potter’s Death... :=(
I will be so happy if you can make a Top 10 Golden Trio moments
I just love the fact that Hermoine thinks that being expelled is worse than death
So sad they didn’t keep the clip where draco threw him his wand 😭
Cornelia Tulstrup why? It was bullshit.

So sad these moments were cut.
Malfoy still got a little bit of redemption. He knew it was Harry at Malfoy Manor and he intentionally didn't tell Bellatrix.

Mercy! I really loved Lupin and Tonks in the book. They didn't get to shine in the movies. I think if you didn't know their characters from the book the movie didn't truly highlight why their death was so sad!
I wish Harry Potter had extended editions like LOTR.
It honestly would have been a way to make so much more money and I would have gladly given it!
That moment when you realise that in the deleted scene of Philosopher's Stone, Snape moves close to Harry's face and lectures him....just to get a better look at Lily's eyes. And they make him speechless.
Gyes i am really crying every moment i'm hearing about Sirius Black. Sirius will be ALWAYS in our hearts!

I’ve been watching one a night. Just have DH 1 and 2 left.
If they combine all the deleted scenes and make it into a movie, I will definitely watch it.
Tonks and lupin should get more lines together
The deleted scene with Petunia should have been included in the final version of the movie. When we lose somebody important, it may be not just us: somebody else might be suffering from this loss. Just like Lilly. She was Harry's mother but Petunia's sister as well. Family is family
I recall seeing one or two of these deleted scenes on cable.
I tell you what is missing, all Peeves scenes
Finally Harry potter again......
Im always waiting for harry potter's contents from this channel.
The explanation on this channel is very complete.
Love this channel😃😃
the fact that the remus and tonks’ scene was only about 30 seconds long is why it should have made it into the movie, it was short but it meant so much, and i will forever be pissed that the scene had not made it into the movie
@History Freak and it would have made the series come full circle with Teddy being another orphan. Lost his parents in battle to Voldemort, like Harry lost his parents in defence to Voldemort.
Not only did I love the moment Harry and Dudley shared but I really love the rock skipped with Ron and Hermione.
The philosopher’s stone is still my favourite out of all 8 movies. It was just a very good movie overall and the most accurate to the original book I feel too.
Remus and Tonks relationship was so beautiful!! I only wish to have seen them live and share their stories with Teddy!
The Half-Blood Prince was *2009?!*
Now I'm really feeling old
The trelawney dinner scene was less about her being unimpressed with Umbridge and more about the fact that she's blind and struggling with her food
I remember seeing the Dursley scene when I first watched the film in the cinema
The deep depression Harry was in at the end of Goblet of Fire & beginning of Order of Phoenix was also completely skipped over
Just met tonks in the game yesterday.
Beo when I saw Lupin and Tonks scene...😭 I could not
As far as I'm concerned, the film version of "Prisoner of Azkaban" entirely bollix'd up a lot of major plot points, such as not being clear on the exact history of the Marauders' Map, the "reveal" between Sirius and Lupin in the Shrieking Shack (done so sloppily that no one who hadn't read the book could possibly have understood what was going on), that wonderful, touching moment when Harry's Patronus approached him and Harry realized it was Prongs, and Sirius's final line to Harry, "You are truly your father's son!" -- yet another important and emotionally moving moment that didn't make the cut.
