I’m in zone 6a one mile from the 6b border near Cleveland Ohio. Do you personally this sabal minor would do alright in the Cleveland Ohio area. I know for sure needle palms would but idk about sabal minor.
No cover here. Sabal minor are good to go to 0F (Or below) and it hasn't been under that here in over 20 years. So you wouldn't cover unless under 0F without snow cover.
I love my sabal minors here in Cincinnati!
I know I’ve seen yours👍
Looking to get some sabal palms for my garden.
Can I show you a picture of something that popped up in my flower bed?
Don’t know what it is - could be this …
I can't see pics on here sorry.
How well do Sabal Minor do in windy spots? Are they wind tolerant!? Do the palm fans get damaged easily or not grow well? Thanks.
The regular size minors do great in wind. The larger Louisiana do not.

Best to plant in a protected spot within a foot or 2 of foundation on South side. Will survive once established down to -5F or so.
Is that "Bonsai" a Sabal Minor McCurtain? They're tiny & slow growing but they won't be Bonsai /tiny for long after fully root establishments
No there are several varieties of dwarf Sabal minor
Do you wrap them somehow for winter? Any cover they have?

What's the fastest growing Sabal m I n o r?
var "Louisiana" as far as I know. A little less hardy than the smaller ones like McCurtain and 3-4' minors
I thought the Warren Arkansas form was hardiest
Probably a lot of varieties are similar
