Your videos have been so helpful to me this past year through college applications. UCSD is my dreams school even as an out of state student, and I got in for the fall quarter as a marine biology major in seventh college! Going back through your videos is really helping me calm down and answer my questions while I wait for my last few decisions before I commit (like 99% sure I'm going to ucsd though)
Loved this! I am a first-year at UCSD right now, and your videos really helped me adjust. However, the one thing I'm still getting used to is the dining halls. Not that they're not the best quality food (I will eat literally anything), but rather I'm just shocked at how much food prices and food portions differ from one dining hall to another. Can you do a video about the most cost-effective meals on campus? Or like insider tips on meals? Like I've personally found that if you ask for "half and half" of two different meats at the Wok at 64, they'll sometimes give you double portions, and generally anything that is "scooped" varies from person to person. Or that the smoothies at OVT are $6, but you can get the same one at Roger's for cheaper; you can also get the same bagel for 25 cents cheaper at Roger's because they don't spread the cream cheese for you. Also, like what not to get: pre-cut fruit in salad bowls (because it's so expensive), etc.
omg this sounds like a really good video idea! I did make a dining hall video but i didn't mention cost-effectiveness at all - tbh it's not something i think about a lot because i had a lot of dining dollars left over by the end of the year so i was actually trying to spend all my money. but if that's something you care about a lot and think you can help others with it, i would encourage you to go for it!
Depends on your budget, and career goals. If you are looking to go into graduate studies, UC will give you an edge. SDSU is know to be VERY social, while UCSD is know to be VERY intellectual and mellow. Your best bet is to call the marine bio dept at both schools and try to get intel on internships and post-grad job placement. (All the best!)
Yes, I'm involved with a church called Lighthouse Bible Church :) I really love it and am super glad that I'm part of one - it has been very instrumental in helping me grow my faith
I'm deciding between UCSD, UCI, and UCSC so this was super helpful! Thank you for making these videos.
no problem; thanks so much for watching!
I'm going to UCSD in fall!! I'm so excited because of your videos! Thank you so much for sharing your experiences!

Your videos made my decision easier! Thanks Rachel 🙏
I like hearing about this college even though I live in a different continent 😂
lol thanks so much for your support, grace!
I need help.. I got accepted to UCSD and SDSU where should I go? I also want to major in marine biology.
go to ucsd. They have the scripps institute of oceanography which I believe is like number 1 in the nation.
