Thank you, Rachel. I am 2018 admitted student and going to visit the campus this April on Triton day before making the final decision. I have been watching a lot of your videos and they are very helpful! Hope to see more
wow thank you so much for making this video!! Thank you so much for this video!! I was admitted to Warren College for Mathematics and this video was super helpful!! After watching this video I can't wait to start :D
I’m really looking forward to going to ucsd it’s such a beautiful campus😍 Very nervous though cause like, college😬 Ur videos make me feel more prepared to go here so thank you for making such good content!
Hi Rachel, could you make a video explaining the classes/GED's for Sixth College? Like explain the classes, tips and if you like your professor etc. I would love it so much if you could! ❤️
I recently got accepted into Muir College as a Psychology Major with a Specialization in Social Psychology. I’m a little nervous about the classes, since senioritis is hitting me HARD right now😂 and I’m scared that I won’t regain the motivation I’ll need to succeed at UCSD. Are the classes hard? Do they require you to study for hours in your room, or do they allow you to have a social life? Also I’m going to be commuting from North Country, so I’m concerned about my schedule. I just wanted to know a couple things. Like how many times a week are your classes? And how long is each class? Anyway, I’ve been watching some of your videos to ease the anxiety I keep getting just from the thought of going to a UC. Fortunately your optimism helps a lot so thank you very much for that, keep making more videos! :)))
Hey, congratulations! I totally remember being in that state of mind--I think my brain shut off for the last three months of senior year, lol. Don't worry about not being able to regain motivation. Because summer is so insanely long, you'll be aching for college by the end haha. Anyway, at the current moment, classes aren't super hard. Freshman year has been pretty chill for me honestly in terms of coursework, and you have a lot more time in college than you do in high school, so it's not that hard to have a social life. In terms of class schedule, most classes are either Monday-Wednesday-Friday and fifty minutes long, or Tuesday-Thursday, 110 minutes long. Depending on how you schedule your classes, you can have anywhere from 0-5 classes a day, roughly. It's nothing like a high school schedule (looking back, I have no idea how I survived in high school!). I'm super glad my videos are helpful, and I will definitely be making more UCSD-based content :)
Hi there at Brandy Lynch sorry to bother. I'm really wanting to get into UCSD as a Psychology major and would like to know how it's been so far for you. Have you thought about switching majors. Are the classes hard for this type of major. Itd be much appreciated if you respond thank you have a nice day. Also if you didnt go to UCSD after all how is it in general the type of work that this major would go through
Omg thank you so so so SO much this vid was so helpful. I just got admitted into UCSD in sixth college too and I was upset a little at first but I’m feeling a lot better about it now.
I’m wondering if you know how easy it is/ if it’s even possible to switch which college you’ve been admitted into. Also how’s the view/ location of the sixth residence halls
It is possible to switch into different colleges, but I think it's pretty hard, and tbh getting into a college you don't necessarily want isn't that big of a deal on campus--I haven't heard of anyone switching colleges. In my opinion, your college doesn't really play a huge role in influencing your college experience; most students just take it as a fun way to identify with something besides UCSD. As for Sixth, I absolutely love it here. The location is near the bottom of campus, and the res halls kinda look like a summer camp--there's a lot of trees and grass and raccoons (lol). Even though it's at the bottom of campus, it's really close to Price Center and the UCSD bookstore. We have an interesting reputation, but don't let what anyone says about Sixth bring you down. It's a great place to live and has been an awesome experience for me thus far, and I wouldn't want to change anything about it! (Plus, you can't beat the GEs or the writing sequence.)
Can we get a room or school tour?! I’m an incoming student going into muir in the fall and I can’t find a lot of recent videos on UCSD. Please keep making more videos for incoming students! We’d really appreciate it
Hey, Heber! I actually already filmed a Sixth College res hall/room tour (ua-cam.com/video/X2lMmoyrHzg/v-deo.html), but I'll try to film a campus tour sometime over the next few weeks :) My next video should come out sometime today or tomorrow, and I will definitely keep making UCSD videos! Most of the videos on my channel have been filmed on my life at UCSD, so if you want any more content centered on that, you can just dig into my channel lol. Hope this helps, and congratulations!
heya! love the video :) i was wondering if you knew anything about seventh college? i’m really concerned about the ge’s, location, dorms, etc since its new and i’d be part of the first class :0
What are ur thoughts on marshall? Like the GE, dorms, majors, ppl there..lol also if you are accepted as undecided, how easy is it to switch to business major even tho I saw business is cap major?btw love ur video💕💕
Marshall is cool - I have friends who are in it and the GEs are relatively easy. Its location & dining halls are good too :) And I'm not sure how easy it is to switch into a business major, but I think compared to trying to switch into CS or a STEM capped major, your chances are pretty good!
thank you for your video about UCSD, this is the only way i can get to know this school-as well as my dream school, unfortunly i have zero opportunity to be admitted by this school in my rest of life because i am not quailfied.
Okay so I got admitted to Revelle as a Chem major and I was so stressed out about attending in the fall but watching this video has made me so excited!! Thank you so much! Also, any advice for orientation?
Ahh yay! I don't know what Revelle's Orientation is like specifically, but I'd just say to be open, meet people, and try to have fun! (Just note that depending on how long Orientation is, it can kind of drag a little bit.)
I'm applying to UCSD majoring in Biochemistry. Could you recommend to me which college to go to? I want to pick a college that emphasizes its STEM education and less writing as possible. Many thanks in advance!
thank you for this video! i got accepted into warren for economics. i was wondering if you know anything about warren? like the dorms and whats nearby? i was also wondering if you know anyone in the econ department and how they are liking it?
Hey, Maia! Congratulations! Warren is right by Sixth and relatively close to Marshall and Price Center; it's right under Geisel and has some pretty cool architecture (& also a great view from Canyon Vista, its dining hall). I know a couple of people who are Econ or Econ/Math majors, and while I don't really know the specifics of what that's like, they don't seem to hate it?? Lol. I do know that the Econ building is in Marshall, so the walk shouldn't be too bad (although you will have to walk uphill). If you like economics, I'm sure you'll do great!
Allison Wagner yup, i should have clarified in the video! i meant that ucsd isn’t located more specifically near the downtown city part of san diego; la jolla is decidedly more suburban. thanks for pointing it out!
Alex Chavez the school sends you an invitation. They send it to a certain amount of students so if you didn't get one then you're not invited, sorry... But you got accepted!!! Congrats
Could you please tell the differences between colleges? Including foods general education requirements etc. Also could you please explain gdes as well? About to apply to UCSD!
So..I got into Marshall College under political science major and I’m having trouble deciding on whether to attend UCSD or another school and the fact that there are barely any videos of people attending Marshall college or even mentioning it it’s really hard for me to decide any advice ? Also is it going to be harder to choose dorms and classes if I wait to enroll until mid April?
Ahhh, Marshall has the best food! And being a poli sci major in it is good because it's super social justicey and a lot of the GEs are geared towards that! (I mean, it's named after Thurgood Marshall.) And I think that the UCSD poli sci department, while underrated, is good--I have a few friends who are poli sci majors and the classes seem really interesting. And no, as long as you SIR by May 1st, I'm almost one hundred percent sure that when you SIR doesn't affect your enrollment time for dorms or classes. Hope this helps!
Hi Maryam! I'm a lit major too (yay!). Changing your major depends on what major you're trying to switch into. A lot of STEM majors are capped, and Computer Science is notoriously hard to get into, so I'd reference the UCSD website for more in-depth information. If it's another humanities major, however, it likely shouldn't be too hard. Good luck!
I got into Sixth for a Behavioral Cognitive Neuroscience major and I was wondering how selective that major was. I’m too busy and far to visit so I was wondering if you take classes with people out of your colleges? Regarding dining, would you be more open with an unlimited dining plan so you don’t have to worry about eating too much at once? And do you like UCSD? I kinda have my heart set on Umichigan but I’m very curious about UCSD since I got into their neuroscience program
Hi Tyler - Congratulations on both UCSD and UMich! I honestly don't know how selective cognitive neuroscience is, but I have several friends who are cog sci, so I think it's a pretty popular major here. To answer your other questions - Yes, we take classes with people out of our colleges! The only times we take classes with people specifically in our colleges are with our college-specific writing sequences; besides that, the people you're with are essentially based on your major and what general education courses you're taking. As for dining, an unlimited plan is nice, yes, but it's also restricted based on your number of swipes. Also for UCSD, depending on how much you eat, you can buy a smaller dining plan and a larger dining plan. And if you run out of dining dollars by the end of the quarter, you can buy more from other people, often for half the price. So I wouldn't worry too much about running out! And yes, I love UCSD! I love campus life because it's pretty chill and not super competitive, and the people I've met all seem to be on my wavelength. College in general, though, is pretty awesome, so I'm sure you'll love it wherever you decide to go!
I think it just depends on which college you're in and what majors you're trying to get. If you're in a college with less GEs, you're not required to take as many classes, so you have more time to take other classes. If you're a humanities major (comm, lit, vis arts, etc.), you can probably double major easily. I think if anything, it's easier to minor in something (or multiple things), because a lot of times college gen ed requirements will overlap with specific minors; for example, Warren makes you take a bunch of "areas of concentration" general ed classes, which I've heard are easily transferred to a minor.
I don't know too much about this, sorry! But I do have some people I could connect you with, so feel free to email me at r2seo@ucsd.edu or DM me on Instagram @rachelaseo and I can see if they'd be willing to talk to you :)
Ahhh congrats! I'm currently in the res halls and I love them because it's really easy to be social and meet lots of people. However, the Matthews apartments are bigger and have kitchens (res halls don't), so it just kind of depends what you want! I'd recommend doing res halls, because first year = lots of people = make friends! But like that isn't some people's style, so it's definitely up to you :)
Hey, so I got accepted into UCSD in Revelle College but they didn't accept me as an engineering major (which i applied for). They accepted me as undeclared. How would you say the process of declaring a major is in UCSD, specifically declaring engineering haha. I'm really interested in UCSD but don't know if it's worth the risk of coming in as undeclared. Any clarification would be great!
Hey Alex! I'm by no means an expert on this, but I know a lot of STEM majors at UCSD are capped, which is probably why you got accepted undeclared. I'm not sure how hard it is to get into engineering, but I imagine it's at least a little bit competitive (though probably not as bad as CS lol). I have no idea how hard it would be to transfer in terms of the risk, but I'd A) google it, and B) talk to a counselor or someone else who's had a similar experience. Hope this helps!
Uriel Martinez i havent called but im going this Saturday for Triton Day and Ill ask then. If they say its really unlikely to get in then Ig i have to choose another school 🤕
Rachel A. Seo could you please do a video on the different types of meal plans and options and how they are included in our student package or a video about how the student package works in general?
Hi, so it's a dining dollar system (I think I explain it in this video?? ua-cam.com/video/Eh2hTLMyMGg/v-deo.html), which means that they give you a set number of dining dollars at the beginning of the year to spend at any dining hall. Eating at the halal section would not cost extra; it would just be included in your dining dollars. The reason why I haven't done a video on the specific options is because I think they change at least every few years, so a video like that wouldn't necessarily be super helpful to everyone who watches my channel in the future. If you're stressing out about that now, though, don't worry about it, because they definitely let you know how it's all going to work out over the course of the spring / summer. Just keep an eye on your email and look at the UCSD website!
Hi Rachel, thank you so much for this video. I’m just wondering if you know anything about the social science department or whether they’re like not as good as the STEM departments?
Hi, Sarah! I have a friend who's poli sci at UCSD and she absolutely loves it! Ofc, I'd probably talk to some other people to see what they think about being in the social sciences department at UCSD to get a more accurate feel, but tbh I think the arts/humanities programs are underrated :) hope this helps!
I'm thinking of transferring, but I'm a Journalism (communication) student at Drake University right now. What advice can you give me based on your experience at UCSD?
we don't have a journalism major here, although we have a communications major and a few different student-run newspapers you're able to join! that's the extent of what i know - i don't think we're heralded as a *huge* journalism school, but there are definitely opportunities here if you network well & look for them!
If you don’t mind a larger student population and a little less prestige, San Diego state has a good journalism program. I believe some students get to intern with KPBS because it’s on/by the campus...from what I’ve seen. Might be worth looking into it if you want to be in SD
I got into Muir today, im an international student, but I deciding where to go because I got into Davis, Barbara and SD. I havent heard back from Berkely or LA, I am computer science major. Which schoool would u recommend?
Do you feel the quality of humanities classes/professors suffers bc of the emphasis on STEM/research? I'm a philosophy major, so info is super limited. Thanks!
I absolutely do not think that the quality of humanities classes/professors suffers! I have taken several literature/humanities courses, and honestly have had such an awesome experience with nearly all of them. I haven't taken any philosophy classes, so I can't really speak for that department, but thus far I've had a really awesome time in the classes I've taken. (And I think a lot of it has to do with UCSD's location--professors want to live in SD cuz it's lowkey got like the best weather in the world, lol.)
Are you familiar with the transfer process? i just got accepted to Revelle College for Fall!! :) And i was wondering if you have any information for someone who might want to switch the colleges? thanks in advance your videos are great! :-)
Hi - congratulations on getting accepted! Unfortunately I'm not super familiar with the transfer process, but switching colleges is extremely rare and generally discouraged (there's a lengthy process involved - academicaffairs.ucsd.edu/_files/ug-ed/uaac/ICTCriteria.pdf). Even though all the colleges have "stereotypes" in terms of GEs and location, all of their academic schedules are structured to fit within a four-year plan, and location for transfers doesn't matter that much because most of them will be housed in the Village, which is completely separate from where everything else is on campus.
@@RachelASeo thank you so much! i emailed them back and they responded very similarly in terms of the process and basically, transfers would have to be admitted for the entire year to their assigned college- then after the first year, they can petition to transfer but it never a guarantee. It's good to know they designed it to fit the four year plan, it is just very intimidating for revelle in terms of their Grad requirements. :/ but thank you so much!!!
thanks for the info! My son is accepted into Sixth College as a classics major. I have a question about registering classes as a freshmen, is it difficult to get a spot in the classes you want?
Hi, Sunny! Thanks for watching! So far, my experience registering for classes has been pretty good. I've had to waitlist on a few occasions, but I've always been able to get classes that I needed for the quarter. For fall, enrollment times are assigned randomly; however, after that, your enrollment time is based on how many credits you have coming into college, so if your son has a good number of AP credits, he'll have an earlier enrollment time and, therefore, will have a better chance at getting his classes. It also definitely helps being a humanities major, because the majority of the university is STEM. Hope this helps!
I'm not 100% sure what you mean by this, but there are lots of different things going on every single day. One thing I can think of is Therapy Fluffies, which happens weekly. Basically, they bring in a bunch of puppies for students to play with. Don't worry - there are lots of things that go on every week!
I use a one-pouch Jansport (here's a random one I found on the Internet lol: www.eastbay.com/product/model:62774/sku:5015XP/jansport-superbreak-backpack/red-tape/?SID=7726&inceptor=1&cm_mmc=SEM-_-PLA-_-Google-_-5015xp&gclid=CjwKCAjwsdfZBRAkEiwAh2z65l-y6j69Ni0xYGhD2m4n78NQb24Cyg-LZRqWn6ySE0onQhNi4mDkuBoCyc4QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds); I used it in high school and it works great for me! But a lot of people use like big backpacks (for ex: High Sierra), so it kind of just depends. I'd recommend learning how to downsize if you're the kind who likes carrying around a lot of stuff because the campus is really big and hilly so you're going to be walking a lot.
I've taken a few business/management classes and they were pretty cool! There's also a lot of business orgs and places to network/acquire practical skills, so that was good :)
Revelle has the most GEs and the hardest writing sequence, but if you're a STEM major, particularly in bio, you're going to have to take a lot of the GE classes anyway so it works out! Revelle also has a really nice market and good food and is, in my opinion, one of the nicest parts of campus.
Hi, I actually did a whole video on my high school stats! If you'd like a more in-depth glance at what my extracurriculars like, you can click on the link I'm including below. Just as a general overview, though, I took 9 AP classes, got 3 B's (from freshman to junior year, which are the only grades that colleges see), and got a 2210 on the SAT :) ua-cam.com/video/Q2JRB956dt8/v-deo.html
Warren 4 lyyyyyffffeeeeee Good luck with the rest of your years here! It's my last, so let me know if you have any questions or need help with SD! I'm a native, so I know the cool spots :D
I absolutely love Sixth! It's been a really interesting, mostly positive experience, and even though we get memed a lot and people look down on us, I highkey think we're at least the second-best college at UCSD. Camp Snoopy is fun because you get to hang out with a bunch of your building-mates; we don't have that many GEs, and our writing sequence is pretty easy. Foodworx also has bomb salads and sandwiches. You're literally not going to get any other experience like the Sixth experience on campus, so I'm sure you'd have a blast :) Congrats on getting in!
Congratulations! And don't worry about it--I think everyone goes to UCSD thinking like that, so as a result, everyone's always insanely nice first quarter :) Just be open, talk to people, and make an effort ! You'll do great :)
The professors are sadistic and make things pointlessly hard with a campus that discourages creative pranks. SDSU is more practical and teaches you more useful knowledge. Employers want a mix of SDSU and UCSD grads as well. The marine biology PHD grads all become postdocs and only 3 out of 42 of them had real jobs.
Pat F I personally haven’t ever encountered any sadistic professors, and many of the classes I’ve taken have been very creative! I definitely agree with the fact that employers are looking for diverse employees, though, and I believe PhDs in general are hard to utilize in a major market, although I’m not very experienced and admittedly don’t know anything.
Hi, I'd just like to tell everyone Rachel is biased when it comes to foodworx, its probably on the better half of dining halls, it's like a subway with the same obsession for the freshest avocados, that's all, love you Rachel 😍😘
I love your positive and independent outlook on being a humanities major in a primarily STEM school
thank you !
I got into UC SD from the waitlist ahhhhhhh
El Toro Lucky : Patient Zero good job!!
Nice
Got accepted to UCSD and UCLA. Now, I have to choose between them, so this video was very helpful.
Ahh congrats! Glad this helped :)
Which did you choose?
which one did you choose?
Which one?
Better air quality at UCSD?
Thank you, Rachel. I am 2018 admitted student and going to visit the campus this April on Triton day before making the final decision. I have been watching a lot of your videos and they are very helpful! Hope to see more
Ahhh congratulations! Hope you have fun on Triton Day :)
Congrats! I also got into UCSD~
wow thank you so much for making this video!! I'm actually thinking atm about whether I want to go UCSD or UCI and this video made me hype about UCSD! Thanks for the video and sharing your experience, really helped me out! :)
Congrats on both! UCI's super nice too - good luck choosing!
I just went for Triton Day, and I fell even more in love! I already committed, and I'm so excited to start school in the fall!
YAY! Hope you have an awesome time!
Rachel A. Seo Thank you!
@@RachelASeo hey Rachel ,how difficult is to get into UCSD?
Girl, you have no idea how much your videos are helping first years like me. Very helpful and hilarious! Keep doing what you're doing!
Thank you for mentioning Scripps, I'm applying here for marine biology right now and it's definitely my top choice!
Awesome vid Rachel! Spot on about everything :)
Thanks so much!
nice perspective, I love UCSD and have only been there related to the sports programs, which there are a lot of...no Football, but the basketball program is live (soon D1) and students have full access...there are also many other sports, men's volleyball killed it last year, swimming, golf and the Lacrosse coach is a fav of mine. Aw yay! I like UCSD too! :) And we're going D1 in a year or two, so I'm excited for that.
I got into UCSD for Mathematics-Computer Science as a transfer and in ERC! Excited to visit for the first time this Friday! This was a really good video! Hope to see you around.
Congratulations!
I just got into ERC as a Theatre Major and I am so excited. Your videos have been really encouraging to see about UCSD!
Ahh congratulations! Glad you like them :)
Ugh you make me excited to start my college life at ucsd!! 😍
get excited!! :) it's gonna be awesome
Yay, I was accepted and into Muir ^-^
Yay!! Congratulations!
I recently got admitted into UCSD and NYU and I’ve been stuck making a decision of where to go. This video has really helped my decision making though, thank you!!
I just got into UCSD Warren and I’m feeling so so so blessed :) thank you for posting this video!! Perfect timing

As for International Relations/Business, the only thing I know about it is that it's kind of the only business major UCSD has to offer. I have a couple of friends who are doing it because they're trying to go into accounting, but apparently it's really hard for them to do so because UCSD isn't really a university known for business. Yay! Vegan food - I’m set this fall 🎉
Carrie yay! I mainly only eat halal food so this would be a good option is halal food isn’t available
thanks for the info! my little brother got into revelle so he’s gonna have a blast

Also if you didnt go to UCSD after all how is it in general the type of work that this major would go through
I got into Muir ☺️☺️
Ahh lucky haha!
I was accepted to sixth college last week! So excited and blessed. This video was v helpful :)
Yay congrats!!! Glad it helped :)
Rachel Alison oh wow thank you so much!! I’m really excited to go in the fall because it’s my dream school. Thank you for making these videos :)
kinda wanna study marine bio here :o I'm a hs junior so I'm just kinda looking around but ooooo
heya! love the video :) i was wondering if you knew anything about seventh college? i’m really concerned about the ge’s, location, dorms, etc since its new and i’d be part of the first class :0
Hi! I made a separate video about Seventh College - you can watch it here: ua-cam.com/video/Rw25ai0PRHI/v-deo.html
I love your videos, they are so helpful
I'm so glad!
what's the social life like
wait Rachel you're so cool omg I love this
omg jillian hey thank u !!!
I got accepted for real estate, it's still March, anybody got any advice?
ay! I got in for real estate as well!
Thumbnail editing >>>>>>
thank you!!! :)
Rachel Alison haha, thank you so much for your help! im really leaning towards UCSD now 😁
La jolla is in the city of san diego...we call it La Jolla as in the neighborhood...
Allison Wagner yup, i should have clarified in the video! i meant that ucsd isn’t located more specifically near the downtown city part of san diego; la jolla is decidedly more suburban. thanks for pointing it out!
I got into Revelle College and got accepted to the overnight program so I'm staying from April 12-14 and I can't wait 😀
Congratulations! Hope you have a fantastic time! :)
How do u get into the overnight program? I also got into revelle college haha
Alex Chavez the school sends you an invitation. They send it to a certain amount of students so if you didn't get one then you're not invited, sorry... But you got accepted!!! Congrats
Anifairy ahh okay lol. Its fine but saying "you're not invited" has a very unwelcoming vibe to it lmao
Could you please tell the differences between colleges? Including foods general education requirements etc. Also could you please explain gdes as well? About to apply to UCSD!
Hi, I made an entire video about all of that! You can watch it here: ua-cam.com/video/oqmaWqN48Wg/v-deo.html
Hope this helps!
dude omg I'm in the same situation. I got into marshal for poli sci and it's hard to find info lol
Hey Rachel! I got into Warren as a literatures in English major, I was wondering, is it hard to change majors in UCSD?
I’ve heard it’s easier to double major at UCSD compared to other colleges. Is this true? And if so what makes it more feasible to double major at UCSD
What is the visual arts/film program like from what you know?
I don't know too much about this, sorry! But I do have some people I could connect you with, so feel free to email me at r2seo@ucsd.edu or DM me on Instagram @rachelaseo and I can see if they'd be willing to talk to you :)
I'm from Germany and I (kinda) want to study at UCSD and your video helped me a lot. Thank you☺
No problem! Thanks so much for watching!
I just got accepted into sixth college too! Would you recommend the apartments or res halls?
Ahhh congrats! I'm currently in the res halls and I love them because it's really easy to be social and meet lots of people. However, the Matthews apartments are bigger and have kitchens (res halls don't), so it just kind of depends what you want! I'd recommend doing res halls, because first year = lots of people = make friends! But like that isn't some people's style, so it's definitely up to you :)
Thank you!! Hopefully we see each other! :)
Rachel Alison thank you! Ill call the department just to make sure haha
Uriel Martinez i havent called but im going this Saturday for Triton Day and Ill ask then. If they say its really unlikely to get in then Ig i have to choose another school 🤕
Uriel Martinez same here bro. Hopefully its not extremely difficult. What engineering did you want to pursue?
Uriel Martinez either mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering haha
I have a question? Is there an option for halal food in the meal plan or halal places to eat?
hello - there is a halal section of OVT that you can eat from! blink.ucsd.edu/facilities/services/general/personal/dining.html
Rachel A. Seo is the meal plan something included in our package for free or a fee? Thank you for giving me the link 😊☺️
Which schoool would u recommend?
oh shoot congrats! I just got into Muir today too!
@@KhanhNguyen-rf2nf yooo nice, where u from?
Congratulations! I think all of the UC schools are really good for CS, so I'm sure you'll do great wherever you choose to attend!
@@Nik-mh5te I'm in California and I'm an electrical engineering major. How about you?
@@KhanhNguyen-rf2nf nice I'm From Hong Kong haha I'm gonna study Cs
I got in sixth, soc major. I'm a transfer living off campus tho so would it really matter that much? Thanks for the video, I learned a lot!
Ahh not so much! Only thing I can think of is the GE aspect, but even those are a bit different :)
Rachel A. Seo thanks girl! I'm feeling pretty good about UCSD! Thanks again for sharing some insider info!
do you know anything about Marshall? also can you change your college after you apply/have been admitted? I am a transfer student
Marshall's great--has relatively easy GEs, I think, and the location is pretty good! Plus it has two good dining halls :)
@@RachelASeo thanks!!! do you know if you can change your college once you are assigned it?
You can, but there's a lengthy process to doing so, so it's generally discouraged. Most people just stick with their colleges!
La Jolla is in SD
Yup! But it's not in the city itself, which was the point I was trying to make in the video.
Yay! That's really nice to hear. And that's definitely true, haha.
Which college should I sign up in if I want to be a physics major ?? Does it matter
Like the sixths or the other names you said lol I have to rewatch the video I’m currently watching as I’m typing
It doesn't matter! All the colleges have the same majors :)
thanks for the info!
Thank you for answering my question. This is really helpful.
Where are u from
Hi! Are there any popular school events at ucsd on the daily? Thank you!
I'm not 100% sure what you mean by this, but there are lots of different things going on every single day. One thing I can think of is Therapy Fluffies, which happens weekly. Basically, they bring in a bunch of puppies for students to play with. Don't worry - there are lots of things that go on every week!
thank you for your response! I was also wondering do you need a big backpack or would a small/medium one be okay for the daily? Thank you again.
Do you know anything about the international business major in UCSD?
I've taken a few business/management classes and they were pretty cool! There's also a lot of business orgs and places to network/acquire practical skills, so that was good :)
what do you have to say about revelle college?
Revelle has the most GEs and the hardest writing sequence, but if you're a STEM major, particularly in bio, you're going to have to take a lot of the GE classes anyway so it works out! Revelle also has a really nice market and good food and is, in my opinion, one of the nicest parts of campus.
Rachel Alison thank you so much!!
So the rules are not as strict as the rules from pensacola, barb jones, or liberty university. Oh good!
What did your high school grades and test scores look like?
Hi, I actually did a whole video on my high school stats! If you'd like a more in-depth glance at what my extracurriculars like, you can click on the link I'm including below. Just as a general overview, though, I took 9 AP classes, got 3 B's (from freshman to junior year, which are the only grades that colleges see), and got a 2210 on the SAT :)
ua-cam.com/video/Q2JRB956dt8/v-deo.html
Thank You!
Thnx 4 this!!
No prob! My pleasure!
7:18 finally, someone else who pronounces it as "neesh"
Anything to say about Marshall?
Good food (Goody's - like Chipotle, OVT - good pizza and cheesecake lol), GEs/writing sequence are middling, right by Geisel and RIMAC!
I loved this
Thank you!
Got accepted to UCSD as a Human Biology Major!!
Congratulations!
That’s the major I am applying to !
Canadians don't seem to understand how to pronounce La Jolla.
I heard sixth and instantly thought of all the raccoon memes you guys have.
lol yes there are a lot here haha
This is super helpful!!! 😉🤔
Yay!!! Thanks for watching, Michelle!! :)
La Jolla is where all the rich people live, so it’s chill
Codes320 lol it’s really pretty tho I’ve heard San Diego is really sunny so I think most people would love the location
I LOVE PHILZ TESORA
It's so good!
Warren 4 lyyyyyffffeeeeee
Good luck with the rest of your years here! It's my last, so let me know if you have any questions or need help with SD! I'm a native, so I know the cool spots :D
Thanks! :)
I will be attending San Diego and was admitted into warren as a human bio major, any pros/cons for this college ?
Don’t they have a good Criminal Justice Program?
I got into sixth! I was a little discouraged because I’ve heard a lot of bad things about it:/ ... but I’d still like to experience it for myself
I got accepted into Revelle College as a Chemistry major :) I think UCSD has my 💓, I'm just scared about making friends lol 😂
Congratulations! And don't worry about it--I think everyone goes to UCSD thinking like that, so as a result, everyone's always insanely nice first quarter :) Just be open, talk to people, and make an effort ! You'll do great :)
I'll be your friend lol. I got accepted for biochemistry. Guess I'll be seeing you there lol
Congrats! Yasss! I got accepted for biochem in Revelle too!
I'll see you there as well!
Got Accepted!! Class of 2024
Congratulations!
Love the video. We want to work with you. Keep an eye on your DMs/email!
NUUUUUU welp to Revelle I go....... I suck at writing.....HELP
Swag😎
Hi, I'd just like to tell everyone Rachel is biased when it comes to foodworx, its probably on the better half of dining halls, it's like a subway with the same obsession for the freshest avocados, that's all, love you Rachel 😍😘
