The part where Sasuke talk to Itachi while he's breaking the reanimation Jutsu and he's not answering always breaks my hart. It's sad to see the real story from Itachi and the pain he went through, but Sasuke that night got his whole life ruined by the person he admired the most with no reason at all from his pov and he's been living with that his whole life. It's so painful to think about it. I'm glad Itachi finally told him the truth.

yeah and he has to live with it since Kishimoto didn't end him at the final fight which I wish he did,Sasuke was clearly so tired just like Itachi had been

The reason why he didnt poke his head is because everytime he did that he said "...maybe next time"
But here there is no next time. He doesnt need to promise or tell him anything anymore "next time".
Isnt it crazy? When Itachi died on his last breath he did that again like he knew there will be a time where they will met again. Maybe it was just to give Sasuke the new power.
I guess we'll never know...
I've always seen that forhead flick as a kind of "I'm keeping you away from the truth" gesture. When Itachi died the first time, he intended to die with all his secrets to himself, bringing the truth about evrything that happened along with him in the grave. I don't think he knew his little brother would eventually discovering it by himself after this, that is why he still flicked Sasuke's forhead when he died, even tho he thought there wouldn't be a next time after that so he kept pushing away Sasuke, but told him that it was the last time (enhanced why he decided to transmit his power to his brother too, it didn't matter since he wouldn't be there after that anyway). But since prior to his reincarnation Sasuke discovered a part of the truth, as he said, there's no point in lying anymore, since Sasuke already knew most of it he had nothing more to hide to him, showed him the whole truth, and therefore, finally stopped pushing away his beloved little brother.

The forehead tap is Itachi's way of pushing Sasuke away from him, to keep Sasuke from getting involved in the truth, even right at the moment of his last breath. However, since Sasuke already knew the truth now, he had no need to push Sasuke away anymore, and so he did what he always wanted to do as a older brother. To give Sasuke a hug and tell him he loves him.
No the poke of the forehead was a symbolic way of keeping him away, his last speech before his death was not the usual "sorry sasuke maybe next time" , it was, "sorry sasuke there won't be a next time" knowing this was his last time
This time his goodbye is different instead of still keeping him away he brought him closer to him as a way of not lying to him anymore and accepting whatever happens next

End of an era. Probably one of the most controversial/polarizing characters. If only there was no Uchiha coup d'etat, Itachi couldve lived a full life and maybe become the Hokage

This was a great episode and I always wonder what it would have been like if the revolt actually happened ,why didn't Itachi tried something else , like he could have tried to leave a letter or something in the name of his father and the hokage and just leave the village with Sasuke to live somewhere far and in peace , it would be tough but that wasn't the only choice I just sometimes think .
it's not that simple I think, and itachi choice was actually the wise one. Sasuke need all of that hatred to become this strong, he destined to be Indra's reincarnation
@@luhurefendi9515well itachi decides everything in his stead,Sasuke is his own person and he is naturally different from Itachi.Sasuke did became physically stronger but he mental state will never be the same as he was.Everything he ever had was now a history and he has to live with that.That is not strength that is torture.
