I may have to consider one of these in the future. My 2000 Speed Triple is in the shop, has been for 9 months. No engine gasket kits are available and it is unknown when they will come available. Out of frustration I looked for a short term replacement bike, $4,000 was my max limit, and I ended up with a very nice well cared for 1996 BMW R850R. It's a bit bigger (Full sized bike here) than what I was looking for, but I never had a BMW anything and this is the cheapest way to get into one... Just got it yesterday. This Enfield reminds me of the 1971 CL350 Honda Scrambler I had years ago. It was slow, but I think I rode it more than the Daytona T595 I had at the time because you could go at a leisurely pace.. where as the Daytona wanted to go quickly at all times. If I can be convinced RE Quality is up to snuff I may spring for one in the near future.
well if you asked me about the previous run of singles thats not too pleasing to the ear...lol but the new 350 although not perfect its way ahead. how far ahead -lets say far enough for me to go out and buy my second one today. best news it should be here by the weekend
@@ridewithwarro It is wonderful to hear that you are pleased and ready to get a second one. That says a lot. I will keep watching with interest and see about getting one in the future if I decide I don't want to continue on with the R850R I just got.
My wife owns a Meteor and I just ordered a Classic. That engine is fantastic if you feel like enjoying Motorcycling. Good enough. Maybe 5 or 10 extra HP would not harm, but still I do not need them as most of my trips I avoid motorways even with my previous ride that was a Triumph Street Twin.
Thanks, Warro. I think this should put to rest some fears a lot of guys in the US have about speed. I for one am done with the bloody 4 lane interstates @ 75 MPH and want to cruise the back roads @ 55 And smell the fresh mown fields of hay. 👍
that too...lol and at 55 mph its a walk in the park for this. at 50 it doesn't sound or feel comfortable but 55/60 mph -its a different story to tell all the best!
Here in Tx too. Im 64 next month. Sold my '11 Suzuki VStrom DL650 last year. It had side/top cases, bags, upgrades windscreen, seat, shock. It came that way from fella i bought it from 3 yrs ago. I only put 350 miles, in 3 yrs. Never more than a 1 hours ride. No touring or adv riding. I liked the size of the Wee. But I know now how i plan to ride. Just 1-2 hour jaunts on the backroads near me at 60mph tops if that. Looking for a 300-500cc bikes for that now. Ride On Warro!
@@ernieD well i was out on it twice today and i think if your after a bike that you can just get on and do a short run-distance not important as long as you come back and say -"That was fun i think i will repeat that again tomorrow" which you will. then i think this is the bike!
Hi Warro. I've watched all your vids concerning the new R.E classic. Every time I had a question you had the answer What's it like at 100k, now I now. Fuel consumption, Servicing, You ve shown us oil changes, Tappet adjustment and day to day maintenance, all within the scope of many a budding mechanic all from a well experienced R.E enthusiast. Appreciate your channel, your mic at speed is amazingly clear and your drone footage is awesome. Looking forward to your roadside cooking, hope you include a few beers as well.
thanks for all the great comments. the roadside cooking ansd ride clips will start as soon as the temp drops in the area and no concern of fire bans. meanwhile i plan to do a dirt road ride run and show the drone in action again. maybe next clip up all the best!
I am one of those blokes that let the bike choose where it is comfortable whenever possible. When I was in the early post 500 kms stage of the running in and could only take it up to 80 ks, the vibration from the bars, made me think that it didn't really want to go any further. Now after over 3000 kms and I can let the beggar off the lease, and get some 100 kmph work done, and I go back to 80 it feels like it is just loving it. I think people worry a bit about taking the 350 up to the speed limit, but they have to remember that there are some people who crank them up to the limit and even sitting on 120 they say they get away with it. Still a casual putt around at 50 to 70 is where the thing makes me smile. Keep the shiny side up.
these new j motors can take it much better tan the older units. overall a pretty good vintage looking bike than grabs attention and smiles per miles or so i think. all the best!
thanks i thought the new mic went extremely well considering i was riding straight into pretty strong headwinds and if i had been using my other systems -they would have been a total write-off and un-usable sound. thanks again for a nice comment too
Been for 1/2 hour test ride on one (a run in one) today & have the impression that it would be happy cruising at 100kph/65mph all day. What an absolute joy, I've pretty much given up (UK) motorway riding so plan to sell my V-Strom 650 and treat myself to first brand new bike ever. Your channel is going to be very useful, subbed & all the best...
Hello from an expat now in the UK. Good stuff Warro! I enjoy your vids. Agree with the colour choice; works very well. It's nice to see RE producing interesting colourways - and good, reliable bikes. We'll done them. Cheers Warro! Keep the reviews coming and enjoy your bike. Popeye.
at the moment just putting some quick klm on it as see how it runs. when we get to the ride/cook series involving 20 clips i think it should be pretty interesting viewing. not too sure about the cooking side but i will give it a good hit...lol all the best
Enjoying both your channels, the RE 350 looks to be a great bike. Would be super if they made a new 500 version and then put that engine in the Himalayan. A 500 single off road style bike would sell big time.
@@splodge57 royal enfield appear to be working on a whole host of new models so i think it will be interesting what they come up with next all the best and happy to hear you enjoyed the content
Glad you enjoyed it. yeah hard to believe on the playback virtually no wind noise and the wind was pretty shocking really. plus no leads on my mic and i just clipped it to my open helmet chin strap and it was pointing directly into the wind. i was expecting the clip to be a write-off. had the receiver clipped to the gopro 10 unreal stable footage from the handlbars of the enfield 350. i say near impossible to do that on some of my previous ones...i've tried...lol thanks for the great comment too
hi warro just bought the 350cc classic" gun metal grey black engine spoke wheels pic up on june 9th cant wait cheers, watched your vids you are a true enthusiast
Hell of a lot better than a 500 I reckon & alot smoother too. It'll do a 100-105kmh all day no probs with a little bit in reserve to pass trucks & grannie going slow. Be great in town & better for country road cruising.
all i can say is if one went out and bought this new 350- its just impresses you with what it delivers. the game has changed since the UCE of 2009 and its gone up quite a notch. all the best!
Only good Bullet is 2017 up were the the best & in future be more sought after too than the older hit & miss models. If you really want a 500 this is the time to get one.Still a few brand new 2021 models in NZ & alot of secondhand low km 2017-2020 models. The last 4 yrs of build quality improved so much & reliability wasn't hit & mis like with older models. In my local R.E dealership there was one 120yr Anniversary Stealth Black 500 Classic for sale when I bought my Interceptor. If I could have afforded it I would of bought it too.As soon as you rode out of shop it will increase in value & was actually surprised dealership owner didn't keep it for himself.Only 200 off world wide were built & was lucky to see one up close, beautiful bike.Be a investment bike so run it in ride a short distance every 3weeks to keep it fresh.A ltd edition Anniversary Stealth Black bike in 5-7yrs with 5000km be worth double what you paid for it.Keep km low & paint pristine in atmosphere tent the value will increase.
my thoughts now-the only good enfield is the new 350...lol if i had run into one of these new breed 10 years ago i think i would have saved myself at least $150,000 buying new and trying to get a good one...lol
it apears to run pretty good at that speed. just waiting now for the powertronic fuelx fueler and try a sports exhaust with it to see if it runs even better or not. clips coming shortly
Awesome, thank you! conditions were pretty bad really and i thought really a wasted clip under the condition but surprisingly all went well. all the best
I am only comfortable cruising at 80-90kms on my classic 500 ... hate cruising at 100-110. It just seems like its pushing it too hard... then again i have a shorty sports exhaust on mine and its loud as F.. at 100+kmph especially going up hills. Cant imagin what its like with a 350. These bikes sure arent made for high speed long hauls. In my opinion. But yeah travel the world at 80-90 kmph
all i can say is they have improved these new 350 versions. not perfect but big improvement. its not real comfortable cruising at 80 kph and had a slight vibe -just slight but was very comfortable at 90 kph. what i failed to mention on the clip was i thought it was slower on this run. i put it on 100 kph a day earlier and it was running on 1/3 throttle and quicker. later on the return home it dawned on me. i had fitted the right rear pannier and was getting wind dragg. i pulled the pannier today and plan to run that same stretch again and i bet less wind dragg and its faster and less throttle too. i might re-do the clip and show the bike with pannier fitted. i took a photo but never used it
definitely. depending on how carefully you run her in, you can sit all day at 110 no problem. i've even done fairly long stretches at 120 but i'd prefer not to. 100? no problem whatsoever.
did you happen to see my clip on the 4wd hill climb.on the 350 its pretty bad going down in clup 1. but more asction at the top on this clip 2. ua-cam.com/video/L3EpU48tg0E/v-deo.html
G'day Warro 👍😊 Im very new to your channel & im impressed with each bike review ive seen to date 👍 You don't bullcrap & you actually own the bikes & give a real review, im new to motorcycle's & in the process of getting my bike licence , ive never been on dirts bikes growing up ! Everything is new to me , im doing learner course on a Honda CB125E Like your daughters bike of 3 years ago but i haven't yet decided on what bike il get when i get my Restricted Licence 🤔🤔🤔 im thinking 350 / 400 / 500 to learn on for first year or two , then step up to 650 or bigger when i get Unrestricted licence in 2 years time , Do you think its wise to cut my teeth on something from a 250 - 350 to a 500 🏍 ??? Steve from Bundaberg Qld 🍹🕺
if you like old school style buy the classic 350 reborn. if you want something cheaper and faster buy the suzuki vstrom 250 sx and its probably $2000 cheaper and maybe 30 kph faster
I’m liking this bike more with each video! Also the sound quality is amazing! My experience with GoPro has resulted in a lot of footage of me saying “is this thing on?” and when I do get video the sound is awful. Your new mic is a Rode Bluetooth model?
100Kph is a nice speed to ride a motorcycle along a deserted back-road. Unfortunately, where I live you had better be able to hold 120-130Kph on the freeway for miles on end to get to those nice riding roads or you will become some pickup truck's or SUV's hood ornament. BTW, I have found that a small neck-high windshield will increase the efficiency of my electric motorcycle by as much as 10%.
sounds good on the windscreen side. back to the speed side 100 kph is thelimit in my area and i'd have to travell a good 100 kl to get t a 110 zone. once run in i plan to do just that and run it and find out
@@jimbo4375 yeah i had 2 interceptors and they would very easily outpace one of these 350's. but they are a god all-round set of fun wheels to ride so i enjoy that side of it. slower but a far better look at whats about.
Hi..!! Thanks for your videos about 350 classic royal enfield... Is very good sincerely... And she's help me for my choice for buying one... Best regards... Merci. Colin ( de France)
Great honest review, me I’m in two minds wether to sell my triumph speed twin and get one of these , big decision. Methinks. Ps what fabulous clear roads
heres what i'd do. the speedtwin is a pretty nice bike-2 years back i bought the street scrambler and if i had it over again -i'd gone the speed twin. why not grab one of these and that way try both. either keep one after the trial or hold both. is it worth buying yes if you asked about buying a 500 -id said no. these are really good bikes to ride now
Thanks - I just saw one of these in the grey "military" guise here in my apartment complex.... kinda cool - looks a bit small as I am used to a Yamaha Bolt - which is not large but it's quite a bit bigger than the Enfield. I was just curious how a 350 single cylinder would do on the highway - here it would be more like 120 Kph for cruising - my Bolt is fine at 75 but a little vibraty... of course mine is a V-twin 950 cc - so different animal. anyway, enjoyed the quick review.
yeah i dont think its for you. your right at max speed at 120 kph and using full throttle to0 just to hold pace. 100 kph is very easy to do but say 120 - i think the bike would be running out of luck and on borrowed time as a second choice ride or a 100 kph runner. its very good set of wheels in this area.
I’ve got a classic 500. I initially dismissed the 350, but I suppose change in circumstance means I get even less time to go for leisure rides now and realistically most of my riding is commuting and punting under 110 km/h. So now I’m thinking about chassis design and engine smoothness and perhaps the 350 is looking more attractive. The 500 is great to about 105 but then it starts to feel a little sketchy, in your experience is the new 350 a better frame?
lets say after owning 15 new enfield the 350 is easily the better bike in all areas. not as fast but better. now if you want something pretty close in performance to 100 kph the new hunter does just that only real issue ..pretty hard ride and slightly foreward riding position with a slight bit of vibe thrown in. more like a tremor compared to an earthquake on a 500
only can supply photo and it will be in the next clip as i just removed it to re-do the 100 klm cruise run which i thought the pannier box held back its performnce a tad
Like your vids Warro.....Just saw an interesting Classic 350 video from The Throttle Company, and it that vid they seem to suggest for top speed one should be in 4th gear and 5th is an overdrive gear for cruising. What do you think?
all i can say if 5th is an overdrive how come i can power along on good flat ground at 100 kph. i just come back from a 2 hour ride and a couple of time on a couple of straight i tried to get 6th gear lol maybe if one came of a litre bike it may feel like 4th is the speed urchin but it runs alright in 5th for me with 5000 combined klm on both bikes. i can pull from 100 kph to 110 very easy- i cant see how i'd class it as an overdrive either way when it comes to the crunch you get to a good hill-20 hp is NOT enough...lol and it won't matter if your in 4th or not -you'll still be dropping gears...lol
Hi Warro. What colour is your bike? it looks great mate. and thanks for cheering me up every vid I watch All the best from Rainy cold crappy England Wish I was out there riding my bullit with you pal Terry
No problem 👍 the colour is halcyon grey but to me and most who view think its morelike a very pale blue. either way it looks fine to me and 4 months back thats the colour i ordered in especially to do the ride/cook series im happy with it so all good there. plus the cream striping on the mudguards with gold pin striping sets it off well glad to hear the clips help kick off your day in a positive note
@@ridewithwarro if it ever stops raining and snowing here I may go for a ride . I need to move to Australia so I can get some use out of my bullet. 6years old and 4000 on the clock. Just a waste of a good bike

Good to see some real world testing of this beautiful machine. Have you tried using e.g. Google Maps with GPS to tell the speed to know what the actual speed is when the speedo shows 100? Thanks.
i think i tried it a couple of days after that and like all the cars running about i think it was out by 6 or 8 kph. dont mind that idea at all as lately our area is hounded by stationary speed cameras in and out of town grabbing heaps too
@@ridewithwarro Thanks. No, it doesn't matter and is all good, but it means that your actual speed in this video was 85-93 instead of 93-100 (as the instrument showed). I am considering buying a Classic 350 and am curious to know if it can actually cruise at 100.
@@stefanhansen5882 well i still had plenty in reserve and ive had it running at speedo indicated 110kph but i think 90/100 kph is more acceptable for this 350cc motor. i feel just because it can do it i also say...for just how long. the other option for you could be the new 2022 honda cb500x-ive had 4 of those. i'd say it would cruise easy at 130/140 kph so that may be an option and its not all that much more expensive. hope that helps
@@ridewithwarro Thanks. And I appreciate the suggestion, but style and heritage matters more to me than speed. The Honda is a good machine, no doubt. But it's ugly. :)
Thanks Warro. I realise the speed limit is strictly policed in Australia and doing 101kph on a 100kph zone could land you a ticket. Just curious, was that you keeping the Classic 350 at that speed (seeing as you mentioned you’re only half throttle), or is that the bike’s electronic speed limiter programming that’s keeping it there? Cheers.
no it was doing it easy and ive ran that bike at $1.15 on flat ground and sat there for a few 100 metres so no issues.i think 90/100 is the sweet spot and it can handle that very easy and quietly too that part i like the best. had enough of the bangers...lol
personally I think I think these bikes work best around 45mph to 55mph on the slow back roads, then they are really a joy to travel around any where, you could sit on some dull straight expressway and warp factor 9 but your missing the point of these bikes.
Great post Warro, Quick question, I am in the UK and have a meteor 350, will it Cruise at 70mph (112kmh) motorway speeds, say for an hour or so or is that too much
ive never had a meteor but i believe its near the same as the classic set up. 70 mph is not that far off flat out but say you dropped back and cruised at 65 mph i think thats a possability. thery run along at 60 mph pretty well not saying you cant ride one at 70 mph im just thinking for how long. in my case 60 mph is the legal and too many mobile speed cameras to try it out...lol
Hey Warro. I think i recognised the Bunnings you went past earlier in the video. I'm looking at getting a Classic 350. I'm at Molong. Are you in the area? David
I have a RE 500, I've had it up to 80MPH and it can run at 65 all day... but I can't. The vibration in the bars make your hands go numb for hours afterward. It is it's one drawback and the reason I may get rid of it.
i actually suffered nerve damage in hands and feet from riding the 500's and was advised by the specialist -stay off the bikes! that is one of the reasons i trired out the scooter idea. now the 350's are out i find them near vibe free and can handle the ride easy
only thing i can see a problem on the new 350's and its the luck of the draw-some have stuck speedo issues and some dont. this bike has that issue but my marsh grey signal 350 is good in that area
So how was the vibration? One of these or a Himalayan? That's still the question in my mind. The 'Layan offers a lot in the way of versatility. One of those or a Honda 300 L.
these enfield have more character than any new bike i've bought and the 51st arrives tomorrow. my thoughts would be if your not happy or feel good on one of these...i guess your riding dead...lol
Hi Warro, been off bikes for about 10 yrs and thinking to get back on one. I have decided between this bike or the new CB 500 X. I know you've had a few cbx's but would like to know if you enjoy riding this bike more? Cheers from Mike
i'd say the 500x is a better built bike especially the last one i had -the 022 model it was far the best yet but it also had a bit of handlebar vibration too. thats why i held out for this bike and i can ride it glove free without any issues. the 500x is a very good bike in all areas but i'd rather ride this bike regardless because it has character and you feel good riding it the 500x does the lot well but in the end its only a new bike-not so with this unit your riding a time machine lets say its born old and new...lol very hard to beat now if you said you wanted to ride around Aust -easy choice there 500x
G'day mate, has the bike got a taco?? I would like to know what RPM the motor is doing at 100 km, the motor didn't sound over worked at that speed, how well does it track at speed, cheers mate, keep safe, Neil 🤠.
no tacho but i might strap one onto the spark plug lead later and get a figure. its working harder at 100 compared to 80 where it appears to be asleep...lol but i'd say after today it would sit on 110 kph but your heading close to the max rev mark up there id say 100 kph would be an easy run but i'd like to hit 2000 klm before i sit on that for longer periods as i want it running well when i start doing longer runs on the ride and cook segment tracks really well and nice soft seat too
Hey Warro, thanks for the video. My commute is 85 miles each way. The speed limit for the majority of the commute is 55 mph. Would the classic 350 be comfortable for this distance on a daily basis?
so far i am finding it issue free apart from a wonky speedo reading. appears to be a know fault on this new bike as plenty recorded. back to your 85 mile commute. that would depend on if its more flat running as hills will be an issue. you'll get overthem but if you want to maintain speed -you'll be working the bike harder and dropping gears. what other bikes did you have in mind or is this it?
@@ridewithwarro I really like the old bullets, and single cylinder motors in general. So the classic 350 really appeals to me, but it has to perform well enough for my commute. It's mostly flat, but I live at 7000' above sea level so performance will be affected. If the classic doesn't work, then I will probably go with the Interceptor 650, it has a nice neutral riding position and sounds good for a twin, the economy is not as good however.
@@deanomachineo7281 iv owned 2 interceptor so thats the way to go. no pressure on the motor and it will do that kind of running with little to no effort and pulls hills easy. plus 100 kph on an interceptor is just playing with it. great bike. may not look as old school as the 350 but long distance rides day after day ts impossible to beat. next choice would be the 2022 honda cb500x but its a bit vibey in the bars and not as smooth as the 650. ive had 4 new ones of those and the 2022 is the pick
@@deanomachineo7281 i like the350's and thats why i bought two of them. but at say 250 klm per day -pretty big ask. go interceptor and if you want 100% reliabilty its a cb500x local dealer told me he has sold many which have clocked 100,000 klm virtually trouble free.
it runs 100 kph pretty easy and will top out at 120 kph on flat ground. think 100 kph is more the magic area for it. faster can be done but no idea for how long...lol so safe bet for me ...sitting on 100/60mph
@@balajibaskar4960 i will try but the exhaust sound pretty good compared to the stock sewing machine zap of the 500. its a pretty good stock exhaust really but i have much better aftermarket exhaust in stock. i run that same exhaust on the the 500's ive owned. just look in my history and you' will see the exhaust on many bike including interceptor
it will cruise at 100 kph pretty easy but if it strikes a hill you will drop in speed. it wont pull a hill like the 500 will i'd say you could run it for lengthy periods at 100 kph once its run in properly but if you said -how about 110 kph then i wouldnt do that as its not far off the top speed. vibration. all i can say is this. its the only bike to date ive had where i can ride it at 100 kph gloves free with no issues. not recommended but just curious. what i wouldn't recommend. stay away from the sump guard or other things which may introduce vibration to the bike. sump guard fit and i had extra vibe immediately -same too sports exhaust. once removed bike pretty calm again good bike-buy one!
a quick burst never worries them and ive done 1200 klm. i use to put the 500's on 100 kph at exactly 100 klm on the clock. just to see how strong the motor was. the real damage is done holding speed early in the first few hundred klm and over heating the motor. a 5th gear roll on throttle to 100 kph is no-where near as bad if at all as some-one out there buying a new bike and pulling the guts out of it at low speed like 5th gear - just to hear the exhaust note. that trip will make the bearings sing a bad tune...lol
i think so and its a pretty smooth ride on the stock suspension and handles fine too. solo seat is great to sit on and easy on the rump too. i think for what it costs and how well it goes -great value. finally a fuel gauge is thrown in plus left and right indicator warning lights plus no longer need to buy a clock too pretty happy really all the best!
i don't think there is much in it really. i have not been hard on it as i am taking it easy as i have those big ride and cook series coming up and i have to travel big klm. if you said once run innwould i give it a run against a 500 -on flat grounds yes and the 500 would be worried...lol not once had i fully opened the throttle or hit the rev limiter -just roll on. my thoughts so far its pretty quick and if you compared say the old carby 350 -which i had 2 new - its not in the same ball park or its that far behind i'd have to pull over and wait. i will probably add a fuel tuner and sports exhaust when i get the munbers up on it but in stock form it goes well-sounds great and doesnt really vibrate much at all possible the best enfield single ive been on out of the 15 or 16 new ones. not sure on the number i will have to add them up if you asked would i go back to a 500 after owning so many.....easy answer NO! this is just a great package or i would have sold it hope that helps
@@ridewithwarro thanks. I'm toying with the idea of selling the 500 and getting the 350. I ride in Sydney and take my missus for coffee from time to time.
theres a little bit in bars and pegs but compared to other singles ivebeen on in the 500cc class its likealmost nothing. appears good at 100 kph too and ive ridden it at that with no gloves to check vibes out. pretty good there nothing to be of concern
i think next day i did and it was like all the cars about 5 to 8 kph fast. they do this to all cars and bikes so they are not liable for speeding tickets...lol if faster no issues -if slower theres trouble brewing
but theres more...lol watch this clip and you'll see it run a real 4wd hill plus some nice drone footage tossed in too -ua-cam.com/video/YeS3GL0dUXI/v-deo.html
i think so too. its the halcyon grey which actually looks more like a light/pale blue. either way its looks period style and perfect for the ride and cook series i have planned
yeah that maybe true but i've ownered porsches/bmw's merc/lotus and other high performace cars and they all read quick. if not there would be a law suite against the builders for many speeding offences. you'll find at 50 kph most speedo are spot on and as it climbs up a notch -they allow for speeding issues
Kuch refined Nhe kiya hai inhone cheap bearing noise from different shape of engine aur hai bhai sahab itna mehenga kar rhe ho alto 800 a jaegi thode paise mila ke nd engine ki awaz bhe Nhe ayegi uske andar kam se kam
If I can be convinced RE Quality is up to snuff I may spring for one in the near future.
well if you asked me about the previous run of singles thats not too pleasing to the ear...lol

Has anyone got a spare gasket kit for a speed triple? Someone must have a stock pile somewhere? Can anyone help Kirk?
@Phil Tucker I did get my gasket kit through the dealer. Bike is fixed and on the road.
Thanks, Warro. I think this should put to rest some fears a lot of guys in the US have about speed. I for one am done with the bloody 4 lane interstates @ 75 MPH and want to cruise the back roads @ 55 And smell the fresh mown fields of hay. 👍
that too...lol and at 55 mph its a walk in the park for this. at 50 it doesn't sound or feel comfortable but 55/60 mph -its a different story to tell

Join the club. If we al ride like there's no tomorrow we just miss all the best things in a ride

Looking forward to your roadside cooking, hope you include a few beers as well.
thanks for all the great comments. the roadside cooking ansd ride clips will start as soon as the temp drops in the area and no concern of fire bans.
meanwhile i plan to do a dirt road ride run and show the drone in action again. maybe next clip up
all the best!
Nice to find an owner doing long-term reviews, I've just subscribed to the channel.
Welcome aboard!
Loving your reviews. And the new mic/sound is impressive. Nice clear sound.
thanks i thought the new mic went extremely well considering i was riding straight into pretty strong headwinds and if i had been using my other systems -they would have been a total write-off and un-usable sound. thanks again for a nice comment too
Been for 1/2 hour test ride on one (a run in one) today & have the impression that it would be happy cruising at 100kph/65mph all day. What an absolute joy, I've pretty much given up (UK) motorway riding so plan to sell my V-Strom 650 and treat myself to first brand new bike ever. Popeye.
at the moment just putting some quick klm on it as see how it runs. when we get to the ride/cook series involving 20 clips i think it should be pretty interesting viewing.
not too sure about the cooking side but i will give it a good hit...lol

Absolutely agree with you. Good point well made.
thanks....its a great bike to ride and am enjoying the experience
Enjoying both your channels, the RE 350 looks to be a great bike. Would be super if they made a new 500 version and then put that engine in the Himalayan. A 500 single off road style bike would sell big time.

Very well placed camera angle👍
if interested quite a few ride clips in my history section. this bike plus the marsh grey version
Impressive microphone, another great video mate.
Glad you enjoyed it. yeah hard to believe on the playback virtually no wind noise and the wind was pretty shocking really. plus no leads on my mic and i just clipped it to my open helmet chin strap and it was pointing directly into the wind.
i was expecting the clip to be a write-off. had the receiver clipped to the gopro 10
unreal stable footage from the handlbars of the enfield 350. i say near impossible to do that on some of my previous ones...i've tried...lol
thanks for the great comment too
hi warro just bought the 350cc classic" gun metal grey
black engine spoke wheels pic up on june 9th cant wait cheers, watched your vids you are a true enthusiast
you could say i like enfields a bit. good colour choice. i had 2 gun metals in the 500's a couple years back. a cool colour
Nothing beats the 500✌🏼 😎
@@bullethead7713 except this new 350...lol
Great video. Hope to see more like these on a Royal Enfield.
much more to come on this set of wheels...all the best!
Really appreciate your efforts to cover all aspects of your bike. Seemed to be purring along at 62 mph.
it apears to run pretty good at that speed. just waiting now for the powertronic fuelx fueler and try a sports exhaust with it to see if it runs even better or not. clips coming shortly
@@ridewithwarro Cant wait to see that one!
Audio was fine, well done mate👍
Awesome, thank you! conditions were pretty bad really and i thought really a wasted clip under the condition but surprisingly all went well.
all the best
I am only comfortable cruising at 80-90kms on my classic 500 ... hate cruising at 100-110.
It just seems like its pushing it too hard... then again i have a shorty sports exhaust on mine and its loud as F.. at 100+kmph especially going up hills.
Cant imagin what its like with a 350.
These bikes sure arent made for high speed long hauls. In my opinion.
But yeah travel the world at 80-90 kmph
all i can say is they have improved these new 350 versions. not perfect but big improvement. its not real comfortable cruising at 80 kph and had a slight vibe -just slight but was very comfortable at 90 kph.
what i failed to mention on the clip was i thought it was slower on this run. i put it on 100 kph a day earlier and it was running on 1/3 throttle and quicker.
later on the return home it dawned on me. i had fitted the right rear pannier and was getting wind dragg.
i pulled the pannier today and plan to run that same stretch again and i bet less wind dragg and its faster and less throttle too.
i might re-do the clip and show the bike with pannier fitted. i took a photo but never used it
Thanks warro..best and most honest review
great to hear. all the best!
Very good audio Warri, no worries mate 👍
thanks- good to hear.

Great job with the audio, looks like that new mic paid off!
thanks...i think so too
definitely. depending on how carefully you run her in, you can sit all day at 110 no problem. i've even done fairly long stretches at 120 but i'd prefer not to. 100? no problem whatsoever.
sounds good to me.
my classic is quite happy at 100 but my surprise was how it handles unsealed roads
did you happen to see my clip on the 4wd hill climb.on the 350 its pretty bad going down in clup 1. but more asction at the top on this clip 2.

Your new mic is a Rode Bluetooth model?
its the rode wireless go 2. about $400au but i think worth far more....lol so simple to use works great and comes with 2 mics
Great video. You are a gift!
Glad it was helpful!
100Kph is a nice speed to ride a motorcycle along a deserted back-road. Unfortunately, where I live you had better be able to hold 120-130Kph on the freeway for miles on end to get to those nice riding roads or you will become some pickup truck's or SUV's hood ornament. BTW, I have found that a small neck-high windshield will increase the efficiency of my electric motorcycle by as much as 10%.
sounds good on the windscreen side. back to the speed side 100 kph is thelimit in my area and i'd have to travell a good 100 kl to get t a 110 zone.
once run in i plan to do just that and run it and find out
I would think the Interceptor or Continental GT 650 twins would be much better for longer high speed cruising.
It's my pleasure - ua-cam.com/video/k2HrGSgj5OM/v-deo.html
100 kph is very easy to do but say 120 - i think the bike would be running out of luck and on borrowed time
as a second choice ride or a 100 kph runner. its very good set of wheels in this area.
The 500 is great to about 105 but then it starts to feel a little sketchy, in your experience is the new 350 a better frame?
lets say after owning 15 new enfield the 350 is easily the better bike in all areas. not as fast but better.
now if you want something pretty close in performance to 100 kph the new hunter does just that
only real issue ..pretty hard ride and slightly foreward riding position with a slight bit of vibe thrown in.
more like a tremor compared to an earthquake on a 500
Glad the bike performing great 👍
Me too! and thanks F/N and all the best
And please show us the panier and your thoughts on it. I’ve been wanting to see how one looks with it.
only can supply photo and it will be in the next clip as i just removed it to re-do the 100 klm cruise run which i thought the pannier box held back its performnce a tad
Like your vids Warro.....Just saw an interesting Classic 350 video from The Throttle Company, and it that vid they seem to suggest for top speed one should be in 4th gear and 5th is an overdrive gear for cruising. What do you think?
all i can say if 5th is an overdrive how come i can power along on good flat ground at 100 kph.
i just come back from a 2 hour ride and a couple of time on a couple of straight i tried to get 6th gear lol
maybe if one came of a litre bike it may feel like 4th is the speed urchin but it runs alright in 5th for me with 5000 combined klm on both bikes.
i can pull from 100 kph to 110 very easy- i cant see how i'd class it as an overdrive
either way when it comes to the crunch you get to a good hill-20 hp is NOT enough...lol and it won't matter if your in 4th or not -you'll still be dropping gears...lol
Hi Warro. What colour is your bike? it looks great mate. and thanks for cheering me up every vid I watch All the best from Rainy cold crappy England Wish I was out there riding my bullit with you pal Terry
No problem 👍 the colour is halcyon grey but to me and most who view think its morelike a very pale blue.
either way it looks fine to me and 4 months back thats the colour i ordered in especially to do the ride/cook series
im happy with it so all good there.
plus the cream striping on the mudguards with gold pin striping sets it off well

Good to see some real world testing of this beautiful machine. Have you tried using e.g. Google Maps with GPS to tell the speed to know what the actual speed is when the speedo shows 100? Thanks.
i think i tried it a couple of days after that and like all the cars running about i think it was out by 6 or 8 kph.
dont mind that idea at all as lately our area is hounded by stationary speed cameras in and out of town
grabbing heaps too
@@ridewithwarro Thanks.
@@stefanhansen5882 then it looks like an enfield for you...lol
Thanks Warro. I realise the speed limit is strictly policed in Australia and doing 101kph on a 100kph zone could land you a ticket. Just curious, was that you keeping the Classic 350 at that speed (seeing as you mentioned you’re only half throttle), or is that the bike’s electronic speed limiter programming that’s keeping it there? Cheers.
no it was doing it easy and ive ran that bike at $1.15 on flat ground and sat there for a few 100 metres so no issues.i think 90/100 is the sweet spot and it can handle that very easy and quietly too
that part i like the best. had enough of the bangers...lol
Got that true 125cc sound 😂 do love those bikes not a fan of the hooded headlight and tiger eyes though
i dont mind that side as it just looks and appears 50's styling but apart frpm that is a nice new style old bike to ride about on
personally I think I think these bikes work best around 45mph to 55mph on the slow back roads, then they are really a joy to travel around any where, you could sit on some dull straight expressway and warp factor 9 but your missing the point of these bikes.
so far it appears to like running along at 55 mph pretty good.

Nice bike. I saw the two HILUX in the beginning and i knew that was Australia
Sure is! plus there are plenty of those about. in fact i ran a hi-ace myself so there a pretty good work tool here
I have a RE 500, I've had it up to 80MPH and it can run at 65 all day... but I can't.
@@ridewithwarro Wow. good to know.

Great audio Warro

So how was the vibration? One of these or a Himalayan? That's still the question in my mind. The 'Layan offers a lot in the way of versatility. One of those or a Honda 300 L.

i'd say the 500x is a better built bike especially the last one i had -the 022 model it was far the best yet but it also had a bit of handlebar vibration too.
thats why i held out for this bike and i can ride it glove free without any issues.
the 500x is a very good bike in all areas but i'd rather ride this bike regardless because it has character and you feel good riding it

no tacho but i might strap one onto the spark plug lead later and get a figure. its working harder at 100 compared to 80 where it appears to be asleep...lol but i'd say after today it would sit on 110 kph but your heading close to the max rev mark up there
id say 100 kph would be an easy run but i'd like to hit 2000 klm before i sit on that for longer periods as i want it running well when i start doing longer runs on the ride and cook segment
tracks really well and nice soft seat too
Hey Warro, thanks for the video.
@@deanomachineo7281 iv owned 2 interceptor so thats the way to go. no pressure on the motor and it will do that kind of running with little to no effort and pulls hills easy.
plus 100 kph on an interceptor is just playing with it. great bike.
may not look as old school as the 350 but long distance rides day after day ts impossible to beat.
next choice would be the 2022 honda cb500x but its a bit vibey in the bars and not as smooth as the 650.

local dealer told me he has sold many which have clocked 100,000 klm virtually trouble free.
What about 110km/h ? Thanks, good video
it runs 100 kph pretty easy and will top out at 120 kph on flat ground. think 100 kph is more the magic area for it. faster can be done but no idea for how long...lol
so safe bet for me ...sitting on 100/60mph
Is Exhaust sound bit different from Indian version ? Or sound get suppressed in video 😇
Mr warro, If possible , can u do another video with good exhaust note please ?
@@balajibaskar4960 i will try but the exhaust sound pretty good compared to the stock sewing machine zap of the 500.
its a pretty good stock exhaust really but i have much better aftermarket exhaust in stock.
i run that same exhaust on the the 500's ive owned. just look in my history and you'
will see the exhaust on many bike including interceptor
That's awesome
i think so-pretty happy about todays test ride results and over-all a pretty good ride day for me
Would you be comfortable doing 100kph for hrs on it ? Much Vibration? If so where?
it will cruise at 100 kph pretty easy but if it strikes a hill you will drop in speed. it wont pull a hill like the 500 will
i'd say you could run it for lengthy periods at 100 kph once its run in properly but if you said -how about 110 kph then i wouldnt do that as its not far off the top speed.
vibration. all i can say is this. its the only bike to date ive had where i can ride it at 100 kph gloves free with no issues. not recommended but just curious.
what i wouldn't recommend. stay away from the sump guard or other things which may introduce vibration to the bike. sump guard fit and i had extra vibe immediately -same too sports exhaust.
once removed bike pretty calm again
good bike-buy one!
Nice video. Out of curiosity, aren't you in your "running in" period. Is it advisable to push it to 100 so early?
a quick burst never worries them and ive done 1200 klm. i use to put the 500's on 100 kph at exactly 100 klm on the clock. just to see how strong the motor was.
the real damage is done holding speed early in the first few hundred klm and over heating the motor.
a 5th gear roll on throttle to 100 kph is no-where near as bad if at all as some-one out there buying a new bike and pulling the guts out of it at low speed like 5th gear - just to hear the exhaust note.
that trip will make the bearings sing a bad tune...lol
I reckon the headlight cap would be adding a bit of wind resistance.
could be...lol
American dollars to Australian dollars - we paid about the same between you and I
pretty good bike and ive done lots of clips on them. plus i really enjoy the ride experience too.
Hi Warro. Do you still have your 500 enfield?
no -too much vibrations. this one is great!
how can the final speed be increased?
about 112 kph is tops and governed. so you can do a few mods to inscreae pick but after that its buy a bigger bike
Go slowly and safe your life is better
it does that pretty good too. all the best!
What part of the country is that Warro? - its been pissing down here for weeks to no luck going out on the C5
central nsw aust. been raining a bit actually today too but not real bad. might go for a run after lunch
@@ridewithwarroGood one ! Im in Balmain, Sydney but planning to take the C5 out Orange way pretty soon - thanks for the great videos
@@tomstockell9481 lap of the mount too
@@ridewithwarro Yeah ! must be close to you - cheers Warro
@@tomstockell9481 about 60 klm
Cheers Warro. Have you tried 110?
not as yet as ive been easy on the run in side but once i am happy with the run in side i will try it out
Keeps the similarity & lines of the older UCE 350 but you can see it's streets ahead of it, seem to have done s grand job with the Classic.
i think so and its a pretty smooth ride on the stock suspension and handles fine too. solo seat is great to sit on and easy on the rump too.
i think for what it costs and how well it goes -great value.
finally a fuel gauge is thrown in plus left and right indicator warning lights plus no longer need to buy a clock too
pretty happy really
all the best!
but bike is lot more at ease around 60-80. i never check the meter when i ride.i go by my ear. on my re 350.
yeah i like to get moving more in the 80 to 100 kph to stay with the traffic
@@ridewithwarro re-engines(even gt 650) r not meant for speed 1f the top speed is 120 doing 100 is makes the engine outta breath.
It can but the sweet spot is 80..it vibrates at 100..
so far ive found its a bit more vibey at 80 kph -more a pulse effect than when on 100 kph. but i will get a much better idea soon
How is the acceleration up to 80kmph compared to 500?
i don't think there is much in it really. i have not been hard on it as i am taking it easy as i have those big ride and cook series coming up and i have to travel big klm. if you said once run innwould i give it a run against a 500 -on flat grounds yes and the 500 would be worried...lol
not once had i fully opened the throttle or hit the rev limiter -just roll on.
my thoughts so far its pretty quick and if you compared say the old carby 350 -which i had 2 new - its not in the same ball park or its that far behind i'd have to pull over and wait.
i will probably add a fuel tuner and sports exhaust when i get the munbers up on it but in stock form it goes well-sounds great and doesnt really vibrate much at all
possible the best enfield single ive been on out of the 15 or 16 new ones. not sure on the number i will have to add them up
if you asked would i go back to a 500 after owning so many.....easy answer NO! this is just a great package or i would have sold it
hope that helps
@@ridewithwarro thanks.
I'm toying with the idea of selling the 500 and getting the 350. I ride in Sydney and take my missus for coffee from time to time.
How are the vibes above 80kph?
theres a little bit in bars and pegs but compared to other singles ivebeen on in the 500cc class its likealmost nothing.
appears good at 100 kph too and ive ridden it at that with no gloves to check vibes out. pretty good there nothing to be of concern
@@ridewithwarro - Good to hear. Here in the U.S., doing less than 100kph on a highway or freeway makes 4-wheelers angry, sometimes deadly.
@@daveinwla6360 yeah i think so far good at 100 kph and later i will sit it a bit higher
Hey Warro if you had used a gps it would be better you know.. the real world speed
i think next day i did and it was like all the cars about 5 to 8 kph fast. they do this to all cars and bikes so they are not liable for speeding tickets...lol
if faster no issues -if slower theres trouble brewing
@@ridewithwarro so is the speedometer correct according to the gps?
@@imochasingh6875 i'd say out 5 to 8 kph kust like all the cars speedos
I like what you call a hill,
but theres more...lol watch this clip and you'll see it run a real 4wd hill plus some nice drone footage tossed in too -ua-cam.com/video/YeS3GL0dUXI/v-deo.html
Just change to the dolphin 🐬 exhaust then ride
sounds good to me!
That's an unusual colour. Seems like a very nice ride.
i think so too. its the halcyon grey which actually looks more like a light/pale blue. either way its looks period style and perfect for the ride and cook series i have planned
Careful, mate....you might get snagged trying to pull the skin off a ride pudding on that thing 😁
anything is possible...lol
Nearer 90 in real money I reckon
yeah that maybe true but i've ownered porsches/bmw's merc/lotus and other high performace cars and they all read quick.
if not there would be a law suite against the builders for many speeding offences.
you'll find at 50 kph most speedo are spot on and as it climbs up a notch -they allow for speeding issues
I think 100km/h is enough
it appears to do that pretty easy. my even do it easier still when the fuel controller arrives and sports exhaust is on and ready to test it out
Your riding on the wrong side of the road mate...LOL!!
yeah i have those days...maybe i should switch sides...lol
@@ridewithwarro Ya, well us 'Yanks ride on the wrong side of the road to you 'alls...
@@bobmalack481 we do it here too but sometimes the end result isnt too cool...lol all the best and ride on!
