@@MotorcycleAdventureDirtbikeTV The all round factor must be considered holistically. Shaft drive, telelever suspension, low centre of gravity, never falls flat, short rider accessibility, extreme comfort, top notch ergonomics (sit or stand), and then add the long years of buying in synergy of development on a consistent proven platform. The design is so unique, no other manufacturer has emulated on the same lines.

G'day Dave, well done on conquering and showing great confidence going over the obstacles & handling on the 1250 GS,
it bought back some good memory i use to have the same sort of thing set-up on my parent farm when i did 12 years of competitive
trials riding, i think it's a bit funny now day how many are getting on trials bikes to learn the fundamentals of trials riding then apply it
to their enduros riding & adventure riding, it's fantastic how the trials riding is growing, especially with parent getting their young kid
into it & setting their riding careers on a good path to riding motorcycles, cheers Mick

What a fantastic video with elements of fantastic riding, fantastic coaching, fantastic training facilities, and a fantastic bike. Kudos to you who had the cohones to take a 280kg bike over those obstacles too. I tossed up between an RT and a GSA, and after a loan for a day of the GSA really wished I’d bought it instead of my RT. The GSA has everything, but the most important thing it has is confidence inspiring handling. So many people who have never ridden them, sometimes because they unfortunately cannot afford them, dismiss them. Having put 8k miles on my RT in 7 months, after a 9 year break, I jumped on the GSA for the day, and it was so much easier to ride. The RT is easy, but the GSA us kids’ play! I really want to get a new 1300 GSA, but I’ll have to wait or the missus will have a fit! Then I want to get some off road coaching, but unfortunately I’m in the UK or I’d be round there! Thanks to both of you for such an inspirational video.

Well done. This concept of slow control is truly where it all begins to master the machine. After that everything else is a cakewalk and riding stress just vanishes. My ride is a yammy roadie 1700cc with a truck tire rear and a big knobby Adv. tire up front. I do slow speed drills on it all the time and ride the fire roads at pretty good speeds with full control. Now it won't handle those barrels without having some repairs afterward (probably) but it does way more than people think it can/should do and it's a blast to ride.
I'd love to be able to spend a month down there learning from you, but I'm glued to the grindstone here.

Like Your description on the suspension and You feel that it works as advertised. I have not rodden mine enough due to winterconditions, to get a better idea how it works other than it feels different from my earlier 790R's suspension. The whole bike feels different here and there compared to the first year 780R and ofc very familiar in the whole package as well, which im very happy with 😁👌. A better version of a very nice rig. Wish You guys happy trails and look forward to the updates. 🙌

Excellent mahout on a obese mammoth. That it's a lot of skills.
But I try to imagine the shape of the guy after on 200 miles of single trails in the Atlas mountains, and the bill after two or three falls on the extremely expensive BMW.

@@MotorcycleAdventureDirtbikeTV Rode one of these elephants hard for 3-weeks in Africa.
Expert rider here - been riding offroad on PROPER dirt bikes for 45-years.
Dumped it a lot in really tough going - they are such under steering pigs! Too tall! Too heavy! 😂
When your "adventure" bike turns into a "nightmare" bike - that's about right after lunch!
By the end of a long day you wish you had gone for the Suzuki SV 650!
My South African Motorcycle Rental Company sent me a bill in the mail for US$1,090 - no kidding!
      Rarely damage - I don't think so. Poseurs' bikes.😂

How many of your mates need to help you pick up this elephant when you fall off Dave?
    Ridiculous bike.

Clearly you didn’t watch the video. When it fell over I picked it up. It is actually easier than a T7 to pick flat off the ground

@@MotorcycleAdventureDirtbikeTV After a long day, picking up this fat pig over and over will wear you out. The bikes are a nightmare in real off-road riding. Been there - done that.

i think the mistake is taking the behemoth bmw offroad offroad! I,ve seen and heard wannabe budding offroaders shatter their lower legs trying to save an off......THINK TWICE GENTS and by a 450 instead!
