It should be noted that there's tons of pure carnivores who have been eating close to 0 plants or carbs for many years longer than Saladino was doing it.
Why did Saladino have these symptoms and not these other people eating no carbs for far longer than he was?
One possibiltiy is that he was overdoing organ consumption. That is a major difference between how Paul was eating versus other long term keto people and there's some plausible bio-chemical pathways that could explain his symptoms.

Paul’s story is pretty interesting, clearly it works very well for him. People get quite upset when some experience positive effects from restrictive diets - but truth be told you’re best trying multiple diet structures and finding your own conclusions! Overall human data is a fantastic way to start studying nutrition and any science, but at the end of the day the best thing for you is your anecdotal evidence on YOURSELF
You can read 1000 papers on nutrition but unless you put that information into practice, you won’t know what’s best for you

People get the meat flu by switching to carnivore immediately instead of easing into it and giving your body a chance to unfuck itself. Fibre is per definition non essential. We get 0 nutritional value from it, while it is CLEARLY linked to IBS and several other gut related diseases. All fibre does is suck up bile and fluids to make your stool large, its a filler for us that serves no purpose whatsoever. Thats why vegans have to shit multiple times per day. They only absorb 40-65% of their food. You can check out several RCT trials that show clearly how a complete reduction of fibre intake resulted in complete remission of IBS in ALL patients. In science, these kinds of clear cut finds are rather rare. And if you truly want to read up on how we became carnivorous , you should read the 2021 systemic review published in the american journal for biological anthropology called "The evolution of the human trophic level during the Pleistocene". I did loose weight but my strength in the gym dropped a lot and I was just feeling weak a lot. I decided to put on more weight to feel better. So I now just diet by lowering my calories and walking. I am back at the same weight as I did at the end of my carnivore diet and feel strong with no cramps and my body looks a lot better then I did. I feel so much better. I make sure I get all the protein I need first then I focus on the carbs and fats with in the my calories allotment. I will adjust my calories on the side caution. My calories look to be way to low but it is adjusted to the tolerance of + or - 20%. You just can't trust the calories in things you eat that are printed on packages or google. So for the people who want to eat strict carnivore.... why not just throw in a salad and couple pieces of fruit and nuts each day? Weight loss results will be virtually identical and youll have a much more balanced nutrient profile.
I cant eat a balanced diet, because its too calorie dense, i get fat, or my portions have to be so small im fuckin starving all day. Eating meat for every meal just the only method ive found to eat calorie deficit comfortably

@coomerkiller I don't think I'm over training, my numbers don't indicate it. Every now and again I take an extra day off if I feel like systemic fatigue. My numbers are not plateauing or going backwards. Right now I'm pushing hard to try get to 10-12% bodyfat so I'm training hard and cutting the calories, it's not for ever.

@t_c5266 I think that's my next step I don't get this last 4 or 5lb of fat off. Right now I'm at like 15%bf, can only see abs if I'm tensing and they don't look dry. I think for ease of practicality, i might start doing half hour of running every day rather than tracking every calorie. I don't generally use sauces because they trigger my psoriasis (any alcohol, sugar, gluten or sweetners/ dyes trigger it). Tracking every calorie will be my last resort, it'll make the whole thing very not fun. If I have to do that, I'll calculate a diet and eat the same exact thing every day for a month.
I'm serious about this though, I'll do it if I have to, I'm getting to 10-12%bodyfat come hell or high water. Right now I'm eating approximately 2k calories a day

I have had A similar experience as Paul. For the life of me I cannot balance electrolytes when on either keto or carnivore. I've tried high protein to create that insulin spike Paul talks about, I've tried very high fat keto macros with low protein to minimize blood sugar spikes, taurine supplementation , reducing salt and everything in between. Im just not sure that this way of eating is the right path. A thought I've been stewing on lately is that most wild game animals are not fatty. So if we are truly high fat eaters I'm kind of confused as to where we would be getting this fat from when most animals do not contain nearly enough In proportion to muscle meat to drive ketosis. Bear meat and boar meat and some marine mammals do have enough fat for that context .I think that is why the northern poeples seem to do okay on this way of eating as they may be more generationally adatped to this higher fat diet. I think the stress levels of modern life put a higher mineral demand on the body and when I'm constantly dumping minerals due to low insulin we get so out of whack. I guess it's all about staying openminded enough to switch things up when they dont work anymore.

I've been studying nutrition for over 12 years and I've looked into all the diets: high carb, low carb, keto, carnivore, vegetarian, plant-based, mediterranian etc. and here's what I've found for optimal health:
Eat a variety of fresh, whole foods, mostly plants: beans, whole grains, vegetables(especially greens), fruit(especially berries), mushrooms, nuts, seeds, herbs, and spices. In that order, by volume.
When choosing produce, buy organic when it comes to soy, and anything that doesn't have a rind or peel, to minimize pesticide exposure.
Minimize/eliminate added salt, sugar, and oil in that order of importance.
If you do add salt, 50/50 sea or rock salt/ potassium chloride blend is preferable. Or try adding citrus juice to dishes.
If you do add sugar, raw honey, or whole fruit sweeteners like date syrup, or date sugar are preferable.
If you do add oil, avocado, olive, and coconut are preferable.
If you're going to eat animal products, make sure they're higher quality, pasture-raised/grass-fed, and leaner cuts.
Most people would benefit from taking daily:
      1 brazil nut (for selenium)
      250-500mg purified shilajit
      3g creatine monohydrate
      500mg algae-based EPA/DHA
      2000-4000 IU vit. D3+K2
      150 mcg kelp-based iodine
      50+mcg vit. B12

The electrolyte issue might be caused by oxalate detoxing. Your body uses electrolytes and minerals to detox oxalates and when you go carnivore it stsrts doing it. For some this lasts foe years.
Primordial people ate bone marrow foe the fat. Our society is so distanced from nature we dont even remember that. People came to north in Europe 10 000 years ago and lived without agriculture foe 5000+ years. What did they eat in the winter which is most of the year? Low fat meat, organs and bonemarrow. There is nothing else to eat in the winter. One deer has 50 000+ calories if you count bonemarrow + meat.
There is not enough calories in anything you can eat without agriculture either, except maybe honey and nuts. Primordial fruits were low calorie stuff. The only explanation for human need for calories is bonemarrow. Peace.
